I highly recommend this one.
「Violet Evergarden: the Movie」
Must see
131 is one of those rare anime episodes that stick with you long after you finish the show.
And then you'll be coming back to watch reactions, again and again!
Exactly, any time I see a new reaction to this episode I instantly come to watch it.
You're at 69 likes, I can't like your comment.
@@Hafnooz I understand, someone else has pushed it to 70. Do what you must to make it “nice” again, soldier 🫡.
HxH as a whole is just one of the shows that stays with you if you actually understood it , just because of how unique it is .
Ok i can finally talk about that.
The thing that Killua doesnt want the most is to become a cold and emotionless assassin like his family.
He wants normal friends, but strong enough so they can follow him during his trip and he can live a life that he could never dream before he escaped the mansion.
That's one of the main reason he followed Gon : he is of the same age, he is always smiling and curious about the world and during the anime, Killua as become much closer to his objective, but seeing his model, his best and only true friend, becoming cold and emotionless is a disaster for him. The parallel between Meruem and Gon is huge too, the beast, the catastrophe that is becoming more and more human, and Gon, the candid human becoming more and more heinous and emotionless
This episode hurts
Killua screaming Gon gets me everytime.
Mariya Ise amazing VA
Disagree on the interpretation of Gon's last face. I don't think it's "Sorry, I forgot I had you." I think it's "Sorry, goodbye."
He's saying that with hindsight, you are correct.
I agree the first time I watched this, that was my take too. "I'm sorry, goodbye".
Yeah he says earlier that he doesn't care if this is the end. He was willing to kill himself to take out Pitou but I don't think he realized how much danger he was putting Killua in
The thing about Pitou is that I personally didn’t get any enjoyment out of seeing her get destroyed. She genuinely seemed sorry for Gon when he was grieving, and even apologized for having to kill him. Also, she respected Gon enough to give him a fair fight because she could’ve beheaded him multiple times when he was on his knees crying
She didn't behead him when he was crying because she needed to fix her broken arm.. She didn't want to take any chances knowing he had so much potential. While she did seem to have some humanity here, if the king told her to keep torturing and slaughtering humans, she'd happily do it in a heartbeat. She had that brutal death coming.
@@creatureofthespite She could’ve beheaded Gon immediately after her arm was healed, but instead she apologized for having to kill him and continued to wait for him to get to his feet to give him a more fair fight. I was just giving my own personal opinion since Pitou is my favorite Royal Guard, but I understand if you disagree
@@comeatmebro8120 Pitou didn't "have" to kill Gon, he was slumped over on the floor with nothing in him. He fought back because Pitou said he'd kill him, naturally.
@@Kakord7 Why would Pitou not kill somebody she considered to be a potential threat to the King? Her entire purpose is to guard him. She saw the danger Gon posed and wanted to get rid of him so his fangs wouldn’t reach the king
@@comeatmebro8120 Probably because Gon was slumped on the floor, with no will to fight. Even Youpi had the morality and honor to not kill Knuckle and Morel, sticking to his words. Pitou promised he'd heal Kite, Gon even in his anger didn't kill Pitou and let him heal Komugi. Pitou not only didn't stick to his promise, he also was going to kill a Gon with zero resolve or willpower left. The apology was nice, but it was just that, an apology.
Hearing Gon say he finally gets to be like Kite when he lost his arm gets me every time. This is the most tragic fight from an MC that I saw.
The villain finding his humanity while the hero loses his.
He didn't lose his humanity though. He sacrificed his life.
@@captainvanisher988 He lost it in the sense that he became so blinded by hate and selfishness.
@@arvinsim Being blinded by hate and selfishness doesn't mean that you lost your humanity. He killed a killing machine, that killed his friend and was trying to kill him. Nothing inhumane about it.
@@captainvanisher988 he brutally murdered it tho? That's pretty inhumane to me
FINALLY 😭 This is easily a top 3 anime episode in history. One thing I wish it emphasized, was that Pitou didn’t know who Kite what, she never bothered asking his name. That’s why she’s genuinely sorry, she didn’t mean to break her promise, she just didn’t know it was him
I prefer ep 135
waiting for the comment that spreads the untrue fact that this is the first time we hear killua's footsteps in the show xD
it's not. not even close ^^
ok ok, but i bet waiting for that comment distracted you from the fact that bungee gum has the properties of rubber and gum
@@RicoPoshoyou have a point
@@RicoPoshoshut up😭
Finally someone who knows (I wasn't sure about the anime but I do know his steps have sound in the manga sometimes).
lol Pitou was still trying to breath on the way down from that kick
When the neighbor Cat is always pissing on your balcony's chair, you just need to play rock paper with him.
And now cara will start recognizing long hair gon memes 😂
Since you've almost finished the series, it's not going to be a spoiler: This is why this arc is one of my favorite arcs in all of the anime I watched. Two of the kindest, happiest people in the show, Gon and Netero, became heartless monsters, while the two heartless monsters, Meruem and Pitou, became kinder and more human before they were killed.
This was not a fight, it was an execution.
To me the final look Gon gives Killua before the final Jajanken always said that Gon recognizes that what he's doing is wrong and possibly very dangerous, but he is too far gone to stop. I think he feels sorry for both himself and Killua, for him because he knows that the price tag for this stunt is stupid big, and for Killua because of how he's treated Killua for the tail half of the arc, and how he realizes how much this hurts Killua as well. He knows that he should not proceed, but something in him, possibly the "monster" inside of him that so many people have seen within Gon, prevents him from backing out now. Maybe he feels that he would hate himself more if he didn't see the mission to completion compared to if he goes through the finish line, no matter what the price to pay is.
5:57 gon, I'm proud of you
Probably my favorite anime episode ever... transferred masterfully from the manga. The back-and -white animation is deliberately identical to that in the manga (also black and white ofc). Much respect too the voice actors that were the whipped cream and cherry on top. Also HxH is in my top 3 manga list. Love your videos!
One fact : You can hear Killua's footsteps very clearly when he was running to Gon at lightning speed...
Why is it important to note ?
He trained or rather was trained to be as silent as possible from his literal birth, and yet he overcame his instinctual level/innate level training just for the sake of being even just a little bit faster to reach Gon, that was an absolutely fabulous detail to me...
That is how much Killua wanted to be with him...
The voice acting of this show, to me is by far one of the best in all of anime, the tone, the feel, the music in the background were somehow made even more better....
Also to me Gon was always a grey-area character, he never was very good with emotions...
He is a kid, but still he had no idea most of the time what was too strong, what was right, what was wrong, which emotion should I keep in check, which emotion should I show outside, he knew nothing about these things....
It was always Killua who did all of the above and more for Gon....
Gon's wavering mind is what allowed for that much power to even exist in his not ready body..
The part when he said "If you talk out of your place, I will Kill You" to Komugi was defintely the point where he lost it completely but even before then, when Morel tested his Nen after it came back, it was Killua who stopped him, he was almost pretty much Gone by then.... (pun intended ofc)
This episode will forever stay in the hearts of anyone who has watched the show...
It was just that powerful....
富樫天才
14:08 Gon actually sacrificed his future potential in exchange of this power (condition x condition), his hair reflects how many years he had to exchange for this form, he must be older that Netero
The thing is, we know now for sure that Gon is at least going to be this powerful 😢
I’ve watched every single reactor react to this episode and I still wait for more new ones to react to it. Never gets old
im waiting for @filmbuff to react to 116 and 131 his reactions are so goated
This is the first time we hear killua's foot step 🔥
nope
The best episode is still to come. Be prepared!

@Johan_Liebert12 no but nice try, this episode is recognized by everyone as the greatest ep in anime history
@@matthewlugo2417 lol maybe to someone that recently started watching anime
I feel love of the man for Kite
oh boy here we go again
This one is tough to watch. Especially if you've ever watched someone in a hopeless, self-destructive spiral, or been there yourself.
Yeap this gon equal with king before fight netero because king after fight netero is absolute monster and he can grow stronger in fighting that why author. . .
You guys will see next episode 😂
My unpopular take is that Gon turning dark was the only way. Pitou needed to take that brutal beating to die and Gon could only do that if he felt the rage and despair he did. He also needed all the power he could get to ensure she would get killed. Even after being beheaded, she was still going after him and would keep hunting him. He needed to crush her. She was too risky and needed to die and the only way to kill her was to give her that powerful beating. Sure, Gon lost his humanity in that moment, but it saved his and his friends' life. Life isn't always so black and white.
12:54 God is is it going to end this even if it costs him his life😢😢😢😢
Gon Had gain the ultimate power for one time only to finish off Pitou, but it nearly cost him everything; his potential as a Hunter, his remaining lifespan, his nen ability and even whatever future he could have.
Hunter x Hunter makes you satisfied and happy when Gon loses to Hisoka and makes you sad when Gon wins the fight like in this episode
Can't believe Crunchyroll hasn't fixed this line "His power is now equal to that of the king!" It should say something like "I was right, I can't let his fangs reach the king".
facts this always bothers me cuz people start thinking gon is actually equal to the king. No human is equal to that monster. It's physically impossible for humans to get the toughness of chimera ants.
It was both in the Japanese, it was a dual meaning like malice/evolution, the point was to show that Gon was an actual threat to the kings life.
The Japanese uses the same literary technique, gikun, used for Netero’s final words. In the same way that Netero said “evolution”, but the reader is given the alternative meaning “malice”. Pitou thought the word “fangs” but the reader is also given the alternative meaning of “power.”
In other words. What pitou as a character thought was “his fangs have reached the king”
But reader is able to read right below that the meaning of her thoughts is “his power has reached the king”
I watched almost every reactions and realise that im the only one who cried and felt sad for gon. I was actually hoping killua to save gon from gon
That ending hits diferent
Imagine talking non stop while watching "THIS" episode
Masterpiece
ok guys you dont have to go that far with the transparency really
Killua's should be dead on that range 😂
FINALLY
Next try Wistoria: Wand and Sword
❤
another reactor bites the dust 🎼🎼
👌👍
Top 5 Anime transformations?
I do not believe this gon can beat netero. He maybe has more offensive power than netero but he doesn't have the endurance that meruem has and meruem had to take thousands of hits before he touched netero. Any human would be minced meat by that time.
Adult Gon would no diff Netero. His speed and strength are on a completely different level.
@@friedhotwings stop glazing bruh. His offensive power doesn't matter if he can't touch netero and no way he is faster than netero, even meruem wasn't faster than him for a while and gon ain't gonna adapt as fast as meruem plus he doesn't have the toughness of meruem, hell even pitou. He can't take thousands of attacks like meruem. If you can't see that you have completely failed to understand the power system in hunter x hunter. Stronger character doesn't always win in this story which has been the theme of the story since the beginning.
@@Oxymoron_i sorry, I won’t be reading this reply. I could tell you were gonna be wrong in the first two words 😅🥹
@@friedhotwings ah I see you are just a rage baiter. Have fun
@@Oxymoron_i if I didn’t read your last reply, what makes you think I’m gonna read the next one? 😂😂. Take the oxy out of your profile name, it’ll suit you better.
What gon did in this episode is just more proof since the start that gon was more like a wild animal because of his childhood and his actions. And he saw kite as a father....... a bit of a spoiler. I just won't say it directly
Later on in the anime, a certain someone is the reason that gon acts this way 😐
No matter how much people glorify these episodes, I still can't enjoy them as much, just because I can't relate to Gon or understand his extreme rage. To me, the only person in Gon's life whose death would make sense of this much wrath and anger, to the point where it becomes inhumane, is Mito san. That's it, even if it was Killua who was killed, not Kite, I wouldn't expect this kind of reaction. Having said that, Gon's reactions and feelings never really made a lot of sense to me so there's that lol Other than that, everything else was perfection.
be prepared to be disappointed this fucking show fucking sucks the ending was the fuckign worse... even worse the game of thrones
