WOW. This episode is everything!! 💯 Gon's transformation and sheer determination, and also the art and cleverness behind this fight are out of this world. This episode is a MASTERPIECE. Hands down the best so far. Our reactions to episodes 132-139 are now available over on our Patreon: www.patreon.com/ScribblesReactions
Gon didn't do this 'for the greater good', he did this for himself. He became the monster, that they perceived the Ants as. This was a selfish revenge. It hit me pretty hard the first time, and still his me seeing the scene.
10:36 WOOOOW Finally i found it , someone who explained how nen works in the condition x condition, great job mate, you explain everything 100% of all references. not all people who react to this episode understand why or how gon transform
The equivalent exchange thing is a classic thing. He exchanged his talent to get power. Pitou said it herself, don't know how it's not clear for some people 😅
Selfish is a fitting word for Gon. He's generally quite a good person, but he also has some twisted ways of thinking about things sometimes. He is very emotionally driven and often doesn't take time to consider those around him. In this case he did technically sacrifice himself to take out a powerful enemy, but that wasn't his motivation. What really happened was that he was so consumed with emotions like guilt, grief and rage that he threw everything away in that moment for the pursuit of vengeance. His potential, his future, his life, even his friends and their ongoing efforts to save the world. Such an incredible twist for an MC to go through, it's moments like this that make HxH so iconic.
yes. he wasnt thinking of anything else at all, because his vision stopped in that moment. he was not thinking of killua, the world, meeting ging. he dead-ended there and became so deeply in despair by the fact that he cant bring kite back that he basically decided to go out by murder-suicide. that's why he thinks: this is the end. but i dont care. ill use everything.
11:00 Not exactly. Remember invoking conditions multiples the result exponentially, the more strenuous the condition, the higher the multiplier. Gon's nen wouldnt be this powerful through any natural means or training... this is his peak physical form but with the nen multiplied by 'X', we dont know the exact number since we dont know his current amount of aura.
the case of gon is that the talent for the sacrifice or condition covers the amount of aura that hes need to perform this feat. so you can or cant say that this is whatsoever the peak of his power (but he will still lose with someone with experience still for sure)
@@Iqbalytind depends. not just experience would defeat this but also brute strength and body durability. keep in mind we are talking of an actual fight, and not a hack ability that shuts his aura down or puts him to sleep or whatever.
the first clue you have that suicide gon would actually lose to old meruem is in the body durability. one, even in life compression suicide form with massive aura, gon in this form still had the body durability of a human, where the zombified body of pitou easily took off one of his limbs. old meruem on the other hand, can survive zero hand with only minor damage and was still in a barely alive state and SPOILER... still had part of his body intact even after being at the epicenter of nuclear explosion.
remember, pitou never saw meruem actually fight at his peak. actually, we the audience never did either as meruem only needed his physical body to fight netero. he never even used the bulk of his nen in that battle when actually striking because his physical strength and speed alone were enough to rip off netero's limbs and survive hits from guanyin. so pitou was infering from 1. outdated information and 2. panicked reaction to something unknown. remember killua when he first encountered pitou with kite? when encountering something unknown, minds tend to overestimate it, and this same thing happened to pitou because she had never encountered a phenomenon like that before.
Tampoco sabía el poder real de Gon así que es imposible deducir quien es más fuerte sobre los 2 solo se baso en su aura para compararla a la de él rey.
@@giancarloac9507 im not talking of aura. im talking of physical durability. old meruem is superior in terms of that, never mind aura. gon's arm was easily ripped off by pitou (and even multiple hits from life compression janken cant destroy her body completely) as a zombie while meruem only got scratches from netero's zero hand. human durability is lower than ant, no matter how much aura they attain.
@@johnsantos507 As long as Gon has reached this stage of life and this strength, this is an inevitable future... That's why Gin was sure that his son would recover... According to my guess ^^
he is not strong as the old king. This is misinformation. The show already explained this when gon first met pitou with kite. You are allowed to hide your nen. Pitou never saw king at full power, only baby tantrums. Her knowledge is based on her limited info. Additionally you also didnt account for the ants physically hard body, and the kings intelligence . Gon would lose just as easily as netero, Personally i think this adult gon would lose much faster against old king than netero
actually, even gon in this state would lose to netero's guanyin, as his body durability, unlike meruem, isnt enough to withstand hundreds of thousands of microsecond hits from it. no human nen user could survive guanyin in direct combat, which is why netero had to wait for so long for a non-human opponent he can freely use maximum guanyin on. in this aspect, hisoka challenging netero during hunter exam interview must have been very uninteresting and even quite funny to netero.

PEAK EPISODE!
This arc is basically
Gon became a Monster
Meruem became Human

😅
The double edged sword analogy is spot on. That’s what makes HxH top tier, there’s a trade off for more power.
two channels reacting to the same episode on the same day. Nice
Peak anime!
My favorite thing about the ep alot of people miss is that this is the one and only time u hear killuas footsteps
Probably because it’s not the first time that happens, stop with this fake rumour.

Very well said, HxH is such an amazing story. ❤

Get your tissues ready because in a few chapters later you will cry
