Kojak was one of the series inspired me to be a police officer and a police detective! See this restoration man bring me back good memories of my childhood!

Kojak's precinct command was the actual 9th Precinct in the East Village.

I cannot believe how nice it turned out! This was really outstanding work.I use to watch Kojak as a kid and it was a good series and this model brings back some fond memories of that time. Thanks for sharing this.

    "Who loves ya, baby?"
Grew up with Kojak on tv. Oddly this color only existed on a few episodes. Its bang on. But he also drove the same model that looked like a dump with even a mismatched fender. I really dont recall this nice looking color if I'm honest. But IMCDB says it existed. Corgi went that route...but yours looks better....

I used to have the larger Corgi Kojak Buick. It had a figure of Kojak shooting a pistol and there was a dude in the back of the car shooting backwards. It had a little wheel at the back which caused the rear passenger to move when you turned it.
I also had the Starsky and Hutch Gran Torino which was one of my favourites

I have that 1/32 scale version with the Kojak! lol The wheel on the back bumper still works well and makes the guy in the back seat who's leaning out the window with a gun, jerk as he shoots . It makes a popping sound synced to the kickback lol . Its awesome

A "Crocker" Jack job, Sir! A few lollipop wrappers on the floor wouldn't be out of place or seen on this scale. In TV parlance to "Kojak" is to pull in a parking space directly outfront of your destination, because that only happens on TV. Just so well done, truly a fantabulous recreation!

Nice work and wheels Danny. In the 80s,I sprayed my damaged ones using car paint. I never thought of lacquer to make them shiny, they usually came out satin! Wish I'd known then.

Hi there Danny! 🖐 You really did an amazing job with the great restoration of that old Buick (one of the original cars was a Buick Century 455 model 1973, at least that's what the Dutch Wikipedia says 😁) "Who loves ya, baby?" I bet Theo would have been very proud (and so would Nathan!). I saw the series "Koyak" on the telly (pardon the pun) when I was so much younger... and not so very long ago I was happy when I bought the complete series on DVD! 😍 I am glad I've found your channel, and happy to announce you have a new subscriber! Stay safe, happy & healthy and keep up the great work! Greetings from The Netherlands 🌞

"Who loves you baby?" Loved that show. If you were wanting to have a working strobe, how would you go about that? I have absolutely no experience with adding light to anything, let alone something so small. Perhaps a future how to/custom video idea? Awesome video and awesome car.🖒🖒

    "who loves ya, baby"
beautiful job. I was hoping you'd tint the windows darker, that mild green tint kinda sucks, but with the inside blacked out, it looks darker at most angles.
Nice wheels, but I think the best choice, if you could find them, would be the steel wheels with the small center hubcap that you see on almost all government cars of any variety from that era. They wouldn't spring for nice wheels or fancy hubcaps usually, even on supposedly unmarked cars, but that marked them.

Beautiful effort. I still have my (largely unscathed) original, plus the larger 1-36 bigger brother. Only thing missing from the bigger one is the Theo Kojak figure with his pistol pointing.
Luckily with this Juniors version, there is a bogstandard squad car black&white version with the red roof beacon. Anyone who found that model could make a Kojak car with that, or even a version without the roof light....
