In ancient times, I used to choose a song to remix on my birthday as my honorary 'birthday song choice'. In recent years, I haven't really been able to squeeze one in, but this year I managed to get this one done!
I first covered this song back in the first Sonic Fan Medley back in 2013 and I've been a fan of it ever since. It's been stuck in my head lately, so I felt the need to get it out.

It's been 3 years since the last time I chose a song to do for my birthday, but not this time! So here's my personal birthday gift to you all, one of my personal favorite SA2 songs. Enjoy! :)

Damn good. Tails' stage themes are really underrated, IMO.
Tails themes are my favorite of the sa2 character theme dynamic. Ironically I don't remember any of eggmans except cosmic wall
The whole OST is so good!
Maybe it's because I grew up with the SA games but I feel like this platforming gameplay is what made sonic sonic.
The popular opinion nowadays is that if you're not moving 300mph forward in a straight line with a boost isn't not fun sonic gameplay.
I absolutely agree the whole ost was amazing but tails's levels truly stand out
I recently played the game, and I never gave enough attention to Tails stage themes, they are so damn good.

Not gonna lie: When I first saw the Tails sillouette in the last video, I thought for sure it would be "Prison Lane"...But this is a VERY welcome surprise, too!

Literally any Tails stages translate well into metal.

The first Sonic Medley was the video that introduced me to this channel and using Eternal Engine as an opener was awesome.
This song brings so many memories. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!

after completing all 5 missions i seriously hate this level, but DAMN is the music good! cover amazing as usual!
I hated the level BEFORE doing the missions...
...I don't think I still have yet done them all...
100%ing SA2 is fun until you get to the late game levels. Oh and Sand Ocean mission 4 can suck a fat one.
I hate every tails level but tails has my favorite songs in sa2.
I can tolerate eggmans levels though, only eggman level I truly despise is weapons bed mission 5.

I heckin' LOVED this song in the fan medley- I'd repeat the song over and over just to hear this! SO HAPPY to see it as a standalone! 8D
This was always one of my favorites from the Sonic Medley! It was a little odd hearing it without the song that followed it in the medley!
I think it'd be great to hear a cover of Crescent Moon Village from Wario Land 4. Something really sneaky-sounding, like shady business is being done in the late hours of the night, before blowing up into that loud, signature Gametal sound I like! Nobody I know of has done a cover that quite captures the mood of the original. I might even sign up for the Patreon to have it happen!

Of course, more Wario Land 4 remixes are always welcome, and Crescent Moon would probably translate well to Jonny's style. Speaking for myself, I'd prefer a cover of The Toxic Landfill... it's already a rock song, and I'd love to hear it played on real instruments instead of the GBA's soundchip.

I swear I've been sleeping on this song. Eternal Engine's song is amazing.
The stage is okay, when we're not talking about the pain that is collecting 100 rings in front of all those Artificial Chaos.

I basically never make requests, but after getting dragged down memory lane, I’m committing full force to (respectful) regular demands for Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter’s final boss theme. Or pretty much any song from the game, but the final boss theme would be most fitting. The series is criminally underrated, and I wholeheartedly wish it had more attention.

Remember when sonic had good songs? I remember those days fondly. Sa2/sa2b is one of my favourite libraries of osts (metal harbour and city escape being two particular favourites of mine).

Honestly, you and your covers have partially been the reason why I got into music, and the main reason why I started learning guitar myself. (Though to be honest, I'm still not really that good. I got a lot of work to do lol)
I dunno if it's because this song is the first song on the Sonic Fan Melody, or because I just really like this song, but this feels almost like I've gone full-circle back to why I just love music.

2 things:1. I love this version of Eternal Engine, itcaptures the spirit of the original with fitting adjustments.
2. I'd love to hear a cover for stage 1 of ArrowFlash on the Sega Megadrive, this guy would TOTSLLY do it much more than justice, heres hoping in the future...
For now, I absolutely love your music dude. Your final boss fight for Sonic 2 is particularly awesome and your Laughing Mad is Legdndary beyond d measure, particularly the first version you made and the vocals are perfect, truly!
