Ultranet is mainly used for personal monitoring. You can connect your computer via usb and open the desktop software and then connect directly into your daw for recording.
17/18 is a line out. There is nothing you have to do to change it to an output as it already is one. I use those channels with a TRS to headphone cable (1/4” to 1/8th”) to play music
@@PickusProductions With the X18, RCA channels 17/18 can be used as a "mains/headphones" output. I don't think the XR18 can do that. I have 4 RCA connectors on my X18. One set is input, the other is output (mains or headphone only). Makes for an easy way to send your main mix to something with only RCA as inputs.
Greetings, I work on a TV channel, between my colleagues and I we ask ourselves: Would it be advisable to turn it off at night? Please help me and tell me if I turn it off or not
So that depends on your comfortability level. There are times when I’ve left the board running for multiple days if not a week for a gig and other times when I turned off every night. If you choose to leave it running to avoid any problems that is ok but I would recommend turning it off at least bi-weekly to avoid any over heating and to just give the board a rest. Hope this helps.
This is a recording I did with the X18 a while back taking to a couple F18 pilots flying over Oregon up to Washington. I was caught off guard and started recording a bit late. You'll hear me at the very beginning. th-cam.com/video/vseRPddt_4A/w-d-xo.html
Hi. I planning to buy this for our church livestreaming setup as well for live performance. But i am thinking also on zoom l20r. What would you recommend me in that 2 choices? Please help us make a decision 🙏 thank you so much.
I’ve never used the zoom L20 so I cannot recommend it. If both boards are able to accomplish what you’re looking for then I would do some research into the software they use to see which one you prefer. You can also buy each and then return the one you don’t want.
does behringer's "x32-q" monitoring app works on this model too? how do i independently control the 6 aux outputs for personal mixing? thanks for the reply!

Thanks for your comment. I haven’t tried using the behringer with the m1 Mac but did some light digging and saw that it hasn’t been showing up. It appears that the new ARM architecture of the M1’s is causing compatibility issues. If you have an older laptop that isn’t running Big Sur try that and it could solve any problems you may be experiencing. Keep me updated!
Your midi device (or DAW) can also play through the mixer via the USB connection to the mixer. I do this using Reaper. Only the X18/XR18 can do this. The smaller mixers only support 2 USB audio channels. The X18/XR18 supports all channels.
Excellent review and update.
Thank you for your comment here and on other comments !
Can you use the ultra net for a Flash drive and record right to it

@@PickusProductions ok thanks
can you explain changing the 17/18 to a output
17/18 is a line out. There is nothing you have to do to change it to an output as it already is one. I use those channels with a TRS to headphone cable (1/4” to 1/8th”) to play music
I’m also puzzled about this. Which BUS would it be? Or does it mirror the MAINs?
It’s my mistake. I must’ve read the question wrong. Channels 17/18 are inputs not outputs. The 6 buses and main L and R are outputs

The X18 and XR18 are two different consoles.

I use the X18 for my home stereo/home theater/ ham radio control. It's been left powered on 24/7 for the last 4 years.

I haven’t tried using that app with this board. I always use the x air app. You can control the 6 auxes through the app
@@PickusProductions thanks for the help!
Of course. If you need any help with the app just let me know or check out my video about it
Where can I get those spacers or rack shelf that helps the mixer from moving?

Long link. Sorry about that.
Ok thanks and about about the spacers that keep the mixer in the middle like yours so it won’t move?
Let me double back on that
Standby. Will have an answer for the spacer today. I honestly don’t remember but will be with the guy who ordered the parts.

Looks good. Do you know if you can hook up a midi controller keyboard to the XR18 to play software instruments in your DAW?
You should be able to connect it through the midi out of your keyboard and into the midi in on the behringer. Then set it up inside your DAW
