Ultimate nes remix for switch!!
They're each great in their own ways.
I’m having fun playing NWC, but the lack of a persistent leaderboard is a glaring omission. Also, I think they should have included a lot more NES games. How is PunchOut! Not included?
I wish Nintendo World Championships had those remixed elements. NWC is like "Cool, lets play the game again", but there isn't much of a twist to them. While there are things like strategy detection, it's just emulating the nes games
While I agree NES Remix has more to offer, I feel both games filll a different niche. It's like comparing the goofy fun of Mario Kart with the precision millisecond shaving in Gran Turismo. NWC is basically baby's first speed run game for the casual gamer, showing controller inputs and previous runs on the screen. Mario Kart has time trials with ghosts, but gives you items to use as the party game it is (despite how serious some of the playerbase is for a great time). While playing NES Remix, it didn't matter how fast you were once you got the ultimate rank in a challenge because you never compete against another player and get rewarded for your achievement (just like how defeating another player's ghost in Mario Kart is meaningless). In NWC, every millisecond counts to get the rewards, and even after you get the S rank there is more incentive to improve your time. I hope they add more achievements and games to it in the future. NWC has the possibility to grow into something like what F Zero 99 has become.
I actually think it’s not a bad game at all. Some people don’t have access to the wii u game anymore. Or a wii u period. This game is quite fun & the price isn’t terrible.
I'm playing it right now. It's not a bad game, but the omissions are glaring.
Um. NES remix pack is a physical version that you still get on the second hand market.
@@colinjackson-xn9ro um. Not everyone has wii u buddy.
@@james441 okay. Just pointing that out.
Wish they ported the original to Switch
The NES is my favorite system of all time (alot probably to do with nostalgia) but even I am beyond burnt out on Nintendo constantly releasing the same NES games and packages over and over and over again. I was already getting exhausted when NES Remix released but they ultimately impressed me with the creativity of some of the alterations and wacky challenges. Nintendo World Championships unfortunately doesn't have the same impact and is underwhelming at best unless you maybe aren't nearly as familiar with these games.
I've had a bad tasting Pizza today. That's far worse.
I totally disagree. I have all three NES Remix and also NWCh, and is very clear to me that the developers shifted the focus between the IPs, hence the change of the name itself. NES Remix were great for the 50 remixed challenges, but NWCh leans very much on the online component, with different modes. The lack of a persistent world ranking is a very good design choice to me, making the experience much more friendly to all ages and skills. Finally, don't do the trick of counting together the games of both NES Remix 1 & 2.
Given that Nintendo themselves would end up bundling NES Remix 1+2, I think it's a fair comparison.
Agree. NWC is a great game and needs to be played a bit to understand what it's going for. An existing leaderboard would KILL the enjoyment because there'd BE scores impossible to reach for people that would discourage them. This is why the world championship mode doesn't show you best times u til the event is over. It's like a blind auction. You keep doing your best till the end, and you keep trying to better your own score!
My ONLY issue with the game is that the world championship mode should do a ranking for all 5 challenges combined. A total score. I was thinking that would be there, to see how my total combined speed compared!
That said, if this game gets DLC... even just a few games every 3 Mos, this could be a massive title. ANNOUNCE DLC!!!!!
no wonder it does, so you have to pay for NSO
I think they released NWC NES edition because the switch is coming to an end on its life. But honestly I like both. Also NES remix pack is a physical game that contains both NES remixes in one disc
It’s actually subjective to compare nes remix and world championship for the switch cause one is geared towards essentially speed running while the other is just challenges with various remixes with a bonus or two of speed running/ Mario bros 1 nes re skin/flip
Anything geared towards speedrunning should have a more robust online leaderboard system. Not sure that's debatable.
SNES/N64/GCN Remix 💯🎮📺🏝️
Honestly I like championship more because some games in nes remixs I just don’t like the sports & wario woods
I don't like online leader boards and prefer NES Remix, it has much more content.
Nes championships is the new nes remix
They are (almost)the same
Oh boy this video will receive a lot of dislikes, I suspect. But I do agree with everything said here. I can add that it should have been SNES Remix next
SNES Remix. Hear hear!
Reason why NES edition is better than NES Remix, NES edition has LOCAL MULTIPLAYER
Again, this is the Nintendo "World" Championships. And I actually appreciate that it has local multi, too!
Thank you for making this. The NES Remake titles are vastly superior to this shameless cash grab. Nintendo could have, and should have, done better.
it is not summer over the whole planet.
No, just the place where the game was developed and where all the major decisions about things such as release dates are made.
