I completely disagree with Vman on this one, the solution provided in the kit for the exhaust servo is effective and saves a rider from spending more money. Another way to eliminate it would be a servo buddy (look for the R1 video install). - Van
+Sportbike Track Gear I have the same bike same year sort of the same set up Two Brothers canister, mid pipe 02 sensor plugged in. Eliminated the servo motor in exchange for the servo buddy (recommended from the R1 video) still get the FI light not sure why.
Ever find a solution to this? Make sure all of the bolts are snug!

The servo on the gsxr 1000's are much easier to remove, 3 bolts I believe and left side fairing removal.
I want to see how he got to the middle Allen bolts of the headers, they are nearly impossible to get to while the radiator is still attached

Another option is to flash the ECU and get all the error codes for that removed.Pricey but while you're at it you can throw some new maps on there for that full exhaust. You guys should sell flash kits, I'd buy one!
+Ryan Leimkuhler flashing ecu is just for removing codes ? can i ride with stock ecu ? without mapping or flashing ? or what happened if i ride my bike with stock ECU with full exhaust ?
i would love another 600 in the garage. give it to me, lol. Woolich ecu flash would do a lot for that bike. i put down 115 hp with only a mid pipe and m4 slip on. Bike was tuned through the ecu.

Install time will depend on your skill level. For most it would be an afternoon project. Most important to take your time and get the job done well. - Van

Thanks for the kind words. M4 has changed the canister they supply with this system a couple of months ago. In the past we were able to get our customers the shorter can we show in this video, that is no longer the case. IMO the new can looks better, same one I have on my GSXR1000. - Van

I did call into your office to confirm the can size, not sure who I spoke but I think something was being done to make sure i get a short can. But if the can on the kit I ordered looks like the one on your 1000 that will be super cool. I dont like the long muffler cans.

You didn’t install the exhaust header gaskets then? You don’t need them?
This is an old video now so I do not remember everything I did. Many times the exhaust gaskets will stick to the head and hold themselves in place. Odds are that is what happened here. When I am installing a header if the gaskets fall out I will use a little grease to help hold them in place that will just burn away when you run the bike. - Van

Sounds so great, there is no possibility to make a R3 sound like that right? The M4 streetslayer slip on sound great but not as deep at this.. I hope you can give me suggestions on which exhaust is best to sound it deep and agressive like this

Hi have you ever done a video of changing a R1 2004-5-6 clutch plates?
Which full exhaust system is this? I have the M4 go slip on. Can I get just the headers and midpipe? Or do I need the carbon canister too? Either way is cool with me
You would need to purchase the full system as M4 does not sell the headers separate to work with the slip on. - Van

Great video helped me a lot with installation. I installed a full m4 system on my 2017 gsxr 750, however when i start the bike i had an FI light although i installed the part that fit on the servo, so do you have any solution to eliminate the light without buying any other parts?

So I guess bikes, unlike cars, do not need a retune after replacing the exaust from headers all the way back?
+WheatJ718 For peak performance a re-tune or fuel module would be ideal. But the bike will still run well and no damage will take place without a tune! Thanks for the comment!

I looked at a full m4 exhaust for my 2012 gsxr 750 on eBay but the parts listed didn't have that arm or bracket for the servo motor to bypass the fi light is the installation the same for my bike?
No high temp red silicone to seal up the connections points of mid-pipe and can?
I never use any sealant on the joints, it makes a mess and is not necessary IMO. The fit of the pipes is snug during in the install and there is no significant exhaust leak while running. You can expect a little bit, nothing you will hear or would cause a problem of any sort. - Brian Van

With this kit, is it a bolt on and go or does it require a flash?
You can bolt it on and go. Ride the bike with the system on it and see how you feel about the performance. If you find yourself wanting more you can do a flash or a fuel controller. If you are happy leave the money in your pocket. - Van

I'm not gana lie... That solution for the servo motor is getto. I put a full Akrapovic system on my bike, ripped off the motor and just plugged in a "servo buddy" plug. It sends a signal to the computer saying everything is good, while losing even more weight.
I just looked it up. They sell for 50-60 bucks.
Am I missing something Brian? Is the way you did this bike better in then the servo buddy for any reason?

so who won this bike? and quick question, with it having a full system now won't you need to tune it since it'll probably run a little leaner due to better exhaust flow and less back pressure?
We gave this bike to a racer named Jarius Washington from Gulf Port Alabama. Tuning this bike would be a good idea if Jarius was looking to get peak performance out of his machine.

What m4 system is this and price?
This is the M4 Full System available with a carbon can and 3 tubing options to choose from. The can we show in this video is a special short can that can be substituted for the standard length can that comes with the system if you would like. Prices range from $963 - $1411 depending on whether you want stainless steel pipes or titanium. I would install a new M4 Full Exhaust System. Honestly I do not think there is a product that will get the rust off an OEM stainless header. - Brian Van

I wonder header of GSXR 750 is same as GSR750 or not. My GSR750 is year 2012. I am planing to buy sport type headers to my gsr750. I could not find suitable sport headers to GSR750. Therefore I searched gsxr 750 headers. It looks like similar. Am I right?

I bought the same set up 7 years ago...extremely satisfied with the product. I see that the shop is no longer offering the same back bundle (short), do you know why? I am glad i snapped it back in 2017.

I know this is old, but you don't mention anything about the radiator touching the header pipes. I see pipes 2 & 3 in your video do not fully seat which means they will touch, but you did not reconnect the lower bracket on the radiator in the video. How did you address this?????
The radiator makes no contact with the exhaust header when the install is completed. Plenty of clearance. These installs can be tough to shoot and sometimes things get lost in editing. - Van

So I have a 2008 Gsxr 600. I am installing a full M4 GP exhaust system. Instructions state use the stock exhaust gasket. However I’m a bit confused as it is not the o rings and none were supplied. So for the spicket, do I just use the stock exhaust gasket? Or do I need to find the o rings. I have been looking for the o ring but cannot seem to find what I need. Can I just go to a local parts shop for these or do they need to be ordered online? Appreciate the help!
If the instructions say to use the OEM gaskets that is the right choice. - Van
I'm using this vid as a reference while install a full exhaust system. This project is so frustrating and I'm in several hours. Wish I would have just paid a shop to do it. Worst part is removing the bolts from the headers; freakin pita!
Just take your time and you will get through the project. Half of the fun is working on the bike. - Van

Would this still pass the sound testing at track days with the cat removed or would it be too loud now?
That will depend on where you are riding the bike. I have ridden several on the Eastern half of the US and have never had any issues with sound. - Brian Van

Based on your Exaust install i order mine, man it was a challenge, but it looks great, my bike is the gsx-s1000 a little different but same basics over all, servo is a royal pain to remove, but i am very satisfied with the results, it sounds great, thank you for the great video, and istructions, keep up the good work, and hope you get a gsx-s for future project bike, THANK YOU!!!!

Radiator back side looked damaged.
Can you simply flash the ECU to bypass all that exhaust servo nonsense, like you can on Yamahas? That would allow the user to completely remove the servo motor and to import an appropriate PCV map for that exhaust system.
+Limitless Moto We did this on the 2015 Yamaha R1 Project, worked great. In this case why not just use the bolt on part that came with the exhaust? - Van
Have you had any problems with the exhaust being shortened? I like the look and I want to do that with the Yoshimura pipe that I want to purchase.
Zero issues with the shorter canister on the bike. Several years back I shortened a couple canisters on my bike after crashing and they worked fine. - Brian Van
Honestly m4s dont make as much power better just to equip it with an arrow, Leo Vince or akrpovic
On the GSXR1000 this system hits 178.23 on the dyno with pump gas and the stock ECU. That was 7 hp better than the oem pipe performed on the same bike, same dyno which is a pretty solid increase without mapping. - Van
