Every time I see Primus I cant help but compare them to Rush. A 3 piece band with a multitalented bassist/vocalist as the heart and soul of the band, a fantastic drummer, and a criminally underrated guitarist. Not to mention they both show just how big of a sound you can get with just 3 members, its truly impressive. Rush and Primus are in completely different categories across the board but both deserve to be remembered in the future in the same way we look back on Mozart and Bach

A lot of times it starts with a charming junkie and suddenly your life is gone and you’re being abused but you’re so out of it by that point that you take the abuse because you don’t want to be left alone in the state the person put you in.
Les is a legend! I saw this man at Lollapalooza '93 in Phoenix. In August. It was 120 in the shade and this man is rocking the pig suit and not skipping a beat for an hourlong set in front of thousands of sweaty teenagers. He defies the laws of tradition.
Les is amazing, let's not forget that he needs just as brilliant musicians to play with, primus have (as a band) and always been top grade musicians in their own right, regardless of what drummer is on what album, they are all equally talented dudes.

I was up front at this concert. One of the best concerts of my life. During Jerry Was A Racecar Driver, they had the air force para-surf in with lights all over them. The sky was pitch black and all you could see was the flashing lights everywhere. Amazing experience. Lez came out with this creepy bear mask on and also everyone at Bonnaroo was going around singing Jilly's on smack all night long. They were one of the tightest bands I've ever seen live. Everything was spot on.
Primus started in 1984, and I believe they released their debut album in '88 or something like that... So they've been going on for more than 35 years now !
If I wasn't a musician myself, I might have a hard time liking this band. However watching what these guys are doing from a musician's perspective, there is a lot going on and it's impressive.

Magical experience. Guitarist worked his ass off on this one. Lots of memory mastery on that board & constant cycling between them. The lead in on drums @6:17is disgustingly good - as is 2:55. Tight like my wife. Excellent high hat mutes. The drum silence before that fill crushes that last verse. Need not mention the legend himself.

These guys play with the electronics as creatively as it gets. To my ears, that guitar gets tickled to the max, so bouncy and sweet sounding. I'm late finding Primus, but this is my new favorite song. Fabulous live performance!

Saw them the same year 2011 while working at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles... the show was bad ass
The whole band is just incredible musicianship but extera shout out to the drummer he's fkin so tight and phenomenal!

No matter how addicted I was to smack, I was always back for Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving.
These guys play with the electronics as creatively as it gets. To my ears, that guitar gets tickled to the max, so bouncy and sweet sounding.
I'm late finding Primus, but this is my new favorite song. Fabulous live performance!
