Just played this for my granddaughters after having read the story. Never heard them giggle like that before. Of course I got my butt in trouble from all other sides but it was sooo worth it to hear those laughs! I'll definitely have to change the way I read this story to them for now on!
Fun fact to those who don’t know, Danny Carey and Maynard James Keenan from Tool are both in this song. Danny is (obviously) playing the drums and Maynard is singing backup vocals (he does the “not by the hair of my chinny, chin, chin!” part, and also played guitar). They both played live and recorded with Green Jellÿ from 1990-1993, before forming Tool with guitarist Adam Jones from 1993-now. **EDIT**: they actually formed Tool in 1990, but didn’t get their big start until 1993, so Green Jellÿ was one of their things before 1993 as Tool was gradually progressing through recording their first EP in 1992 and their first album in 1993.
Yeah just found out it's Maynard, had to come back and listen😂 so funny I'm a huge tool fan but had no clue of the connection. I wonder how many rabid tool fans have ever even heard this song lol (btw I'm not bashing on this song, it's great... Just not super well known)

By the looks of these comments?? Yes! These Bible thumping goody two shoes in effect got at least 3 generations of smaller younger children exposed to nursery rhymes & 3 little pigs as gateway labeled porn rock instead of letting real musicians and songwriters have the opportunities they used to!!
That's why twerking to lyrics about pussy & bitches & hos & bullets are exactly the same unchallenging crap!! And socially relevant material for our times (like 1968! Civil rights, diversity, women's freedom ALL taken away in a climate of "gimme sum pussay! Gimme sumdik!")

OMG I've not seen this video in exactly 30 years!!! This song has just literally popped up in my head so I'm here watching it! I recall seeing this video back in 1993 on a year 6 school bus trip (on the bus TV) to Perisher ski resort and Canberra (Australia), I really enjoyed it back then, seeing it again as a mature adult turning 42 I still enjoy this video and have a good laugh, it is an excellent 90s heavy metal modernisation of the classic three little pigs tale and the claymation is just excellent!!!
Video by the late Fred Stuhr, who died in 1997 at the age of 30 after a car accident. He made this, as well as "Sober" and "Prison Sex" for Tool, "Ratamahatta" for Sepultura, "Can't Speak" for Danzig and "Insanity" for Oingo Boingo as well.
Could be mistaken but I swore I heard Adam also helped out with this video, Sober and Prison Sex. Could be completely wrong but I swear I heard an interview where Adam was talking about it and mentioning Fred.
@ You're right dude, Maynard voices the part " not by the hair of my chinny chin chin". Maynard and Danny Carey were both members of green jello before forming Tool.
I only know of green jelly because they did the music for a Sega Genesis Spiderman game - Maximum Carnage. Game is legendary, and so is the music in it. I've always liked green jelly since then.
Saw them live back in 199x (?) on tour with this album in Hamburg, Germany and the opening words were like "All you're gonna see now has been stolen from KISS and the Muppet Show". Loved it ;)
I heard this song in the car when I was little and I thought it was the funniest and most ironic shit because it's literally the only heavy metal adaptation of a fairy tale I've ever heard. It's still an amazing song nonetheless and it could easily be considered a classic. Wonderful

Although some people thought it was only a joke, this song definitely stood the test of time!
My buddy Travis was a huge fan of this song and the band. He passed a few years ago so it's nice to hear this and remember all the fun we had.

I wish I had words to heal your pain, but I don't. The best I can say is that you are NOT alone. It's harder some days than others, so just take it one minute, one second at a time. A hundred years from now, you will still sometimes be caught off guard and have a bad day. That doesn't mean you failed, you can try again later.
Heck, I'm not even sure why your message hit me so hard, but I'm sitting here crying and typing and hoping you have a better tomorrow.
