While I don't have a 2020 Silverado or this intake, I seriously love your install videos. When you were removing the big chunky piece in front of the engine block, that zoom to see which way you're pulling the piece is so dang helpful.
I can't count the number of install guides I've watched while trying to do stuff on my cateye that are more or less "here's an idea, find the specifics yourself". This is quality content. Thanks for being a good creator, Chase. 10/10. (Also glad to see you're doing well after those tornadoes and stuff!)

It would look good if there was a white bottom above the black bumper, but not w the way the bumper is made to be the bottom half of the grill

This was my first install on my 6.2l 2020 black widow. Looks amazing and definitely performs a little better. After 15k miles, I’d say I’m getting 1-2mpg better. I watched a video of this intake being installed on a stock truck with no other mods, the dyno showed 20HP gain to the wheels. Maybe not the case for everyone, but well worth my money!
No more cfm just air sound. Alot of money just. For sound get real😮

I got the brown metallic version of your exact truck. I put a flowmaster flow fx on it and it sounds amazing. Perfect amount of grunt. Keep these vids coming!
Did you also delete resonators or keep those?
@@mikewinter9043 Kept everything except the muffler and the flapper valve. Love the sound. Its not super loud, just perfect. You wont regret it if you go that route.

I bought a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom 5.3 liter v-8 truck, I purchased the S&B cold in take system I enjoy it tremendously, makes a huge difference, went with S&B because the performance shop I called recommended this one , the intake has 2 intake ports make more air intake and more performance, had a Flowmaster series 40 muffler before installed this intake installed and makes a total difference in performance also..next will be the Pulsar Lt tune, backorder for 2 to 3 weeks now..
I put a cold air from the same company on my 5.3 Trail Boss after watching the Lonestar Hawaiian channel. I really like it!!

I did same thing. Lone star has given me a lot of ideas for my Trail Boss.
You should have dynoed it before and after, on my 2019 GMC AT4 6.2 10 speed K&N Cold Air Intake 16hp 18 tq gain at the wheels, 360hp 384tq at the wheel, 1/8 mile run, 9.23.

Have it on 19 silverado. Glass on top fell out on top of filter after about a year. Used JB weld clear put it back together.
Love the wheels, looks better with out the grill bar being white...Now try it with the front Bumper white and the grill staying black.

Mine arrives tomorrow so I've been watching a few of these install videos, three videos so far have all said their intake arrived wrong or missing parts. Can't wait to see how I lucked out, already had issues taking forever for it to get shipped. Just an FYI i tried calling/emailing /facebook messenger and posting on their facebook page and never got a reply or response from any of those methods. Can't wait to see how long it's going to take to get missing parts seeing that your truck looked completely different while waiting on two screws.

Installed one 4 months ago- thought it would be a lot louder on my 6.2.. had to pay additional $80 duty to ship one to 🇨🇦
I just installed mine in my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 (6.2L). Question, did you notice a "gap" where the tube inserts into the box hole cutout? I have a gap in mine (that rubber gasket ring doesn't snug onto the tube). I reached out to CAI and they said to move it down (gently). I did that, but when the engine torques, the gap comes back. Your thoughts? Thanks.
I'm pretty lucky as I have a mom and pop hardware store and a Home Depot with in 1 -2 miles from my home and they have a great selection of stainless machine screws. I would have taken the tube down and matched the threads to some new screws.
And the grill/bars went from white to black, it looked unique with the white accents because most trail bosses have all black front
You also need the Stillen Cold Air Intake Scoop.
I'll tell ya what, I put the GM Performance Cold Air Intake on my truck, and it did NOT run exactly right. It actually ran better with the stock intake cleaner and a K&N filter, BUT, the GM Performance intake comes with a code you take to your dealer which authorizes a download from GM to the dealer to reflash your ECM with new parameters for the MAFS, and then it runs like a SCALDED DOG, especially with a flapper delete after market exhaust, and none of it will void your warranty. I wouldn't install any other high volume cold air intake on a 2019 or newer without an ECM flash, and the GM Performance Cold Air Intake is the only one you'll get that with. No I'm not a GM employee plugging for them. I'm a retired Master Harley Davidson tech, and I'm just relating the facts as I know them.
My dealer,emailed this info before my cai install. the kit comes with a code that is required for programming. It must be done at a GM dealer as it requires the dealer call into a GM line to get authorization and add this feature to your VIN. It reprograms the ECM to accept the higher flowing air cleaner
I looked for a GM version of a CAI, but the Chevrolet website doesn't show any?
The GM CAI are on backorder. Talked with a tech at the dealership and apparently they are going to stay on backorder. According to him the only way you can get the GM CAI is to build a truck and add it as an option. Some sort of regulatory type thing is why you can no longer get the part after the fact. Kinda disappointing because I bought the GM performance cat back exhaust system and I was looking to get the GM cold air intake as well. Not sure exactly when they were no longer available? I bought my truck at the end of Sept 2020. By the time I pulled the trigger on the exhaust and the cold air intake,
the CAI were on backorder. I hope the tech is wrong? But I’ve read similar on some different forums. Been contemplating either the S&B or the Cold Air Inductions, but also contemplating saying screw it. The GM Performance exhaust did make a big difference, I was looking forward to having both the CAI and exhaust. It sounds good now, I think the added air flow would definitely help it sound even better. Might just trade up in another year or so and build one with both. Won’t get a deal like I did on my 2020 though, at least it’s not looking that way.

You have installed cold air intakes by CAI and S&B. I have the factory 2019 Silverado Z71 6.2L. Which do you like better? Which has better performance and sound? Which would you truly recommend? After this mod, I’m adding the Pulsar LT to go straight V8! I appreciate your videos and look forward to your recommendation.

Hey, I did the installation a few days before watching this video. I also did not receive the mass air flow screws but used the original. Is that a problem?
Invest in a 0-60 tester like TFL truck

Took my intake 2 weeks to adjust and performance is insane..interstate driving at 80 mph for over 100 miles getting 22.7 mpg..17 city mpg..

First week installed my acceleration felt lagging, like air restricted. So I took it off. How did yours feel like before the 2 weeks?

Do you have to turn off the air filter reminder in the computer to avoid the check engine light
Did anyone ever answer back on this? I installed a K&N series 63 filter charger system on my 19 Sierra 5.3. Good for 10k miles then then the “check air filter system light” came on and could not be cleared. Took it to two separate dealerships who couldn’t clear the code.
Clean the mass air flow sensor while it’s out !!

@lmfscrew - Not sure if you'll see this brother, but I'm having what appears to be an exhaust noise with my 2021 Trail Boos, got a couple of Vid's on my YT of it. If you have the chance to listen and let me know what you think. It's an audible rattle when at around 30-40 MPH at lower RPM's and when it downshifts coming to a stop.

Anyone else have a slight gap between the housing and the duct? I tried readjusting the fittings/clamps, but still have a small gap. May not matter, but don't necessarily want air escaping through this gap and not making its way into the engine.
YES! I tried to seal mine with some butyl rope and it worked for like 2 days till it fell off. I immediately started getting better mpg too, idk how to seal it now though.. On avg I do 2 mpg worse than stock :(.. (avg 19-22mpg before.. 17-19mpg now)
@@Matty-Ice98 I think I fixed it! Try adjusting the positioning of the filter. The best fit was when the side of the filter closest to the grille was angled up a little bit. Then you can slightly adjust the insulation around the filter to get a better seal (not a ton of wiggle room but some). Hope that helps!

@@Matty-Ice98 No problem. I just rechecked the seal today and noticed something else…the rubber tube of the filter that sticks out of the housing unit appears to have some “pitting” or tiny holes that don’t go all the way through the rubber. I can’t remember if it came like this or if something is causing it to happen. I live in the northeast so not sure if it is salt from the roads or something. It seems to be in just one area…I’ll monitor it, but wanted to see if yours has anything similar.

Should of let us seen what it already had damn for all we know it would haul ass already you said it was a best but anytime about a truck is ok
