Thank you so much. I had my alternator repaired like this but next time I will try this work myself. I will buy a multimeter with diode tester and replace the rectifier/Regulator plus new bearings, also brushing off any surface rust. This works looks really satisfying and I dont want to replace my parts.

Probably a 17mm allen head impact socket. Use it to only remove the decoupler pulley, don't use it to install the decoupler pulley.

My work came to a halt right when I discovered I needed a 17mm hex socket for the pulley bolt. Every store seemed to stop at 16mm
