    Wrestlers have said when Macho Man first became a star, many of the lower indy wrestlers would seek him out to challenge him at bars. Macho man was so worried about getting jumped that he got the Dynamite Kid and Rick Rude to be his body guards and to go where he went. No one messed with Macho Man ever.

    Why does Jake
    blame Davey-Boy Smith
    for the heat between the
    Rougeau Bros. and Dynamite??
    From what I've gathered,
    it sounds like Kurt Henning
    was the real instigator
    (besides Dynamite, that is).

    I cant understand- how the Rougeau's Bro's- take pride- in the "Comeback of 88" while they freely admit- to ambushing the D.K. with a fist full of quarters-- a fistful of quarters- would give a weak person a decent punch-- I guess they got some revenge-- but if Jock Rougeau would have said- listen-- you disrespected me, and now we are gonna have it out.. Man to Man--- & then proceeded to stomp-- D.K. ...... then-- I would have to say-- way to go-- Great Comeback-- Sucker Punching a man with a weapon-- ehhhh... I give them an A+ for the plan they hatched-- -- but to brag about- it as if it was honorable way to avenge yourself-- I think not---

    • @DarkRonin21
      @DarkRonin21 8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      +Darkk Lord Well, you listen to how Dynamite was back then, he always had an entourage of big guys around him. He used to always travel around the locker room with his kliq of Him, Davey Boy, Don Muraco, Bad News Brown, Ultimate Warrior, ect. The only way the Rougeaus were going to get back fairly on Dynamite without all those other guys jumping in, was a blitz attack. Not to mention, when Dynamite first attacked Jacques, Jacques was playing cards with Dino Bravo, and Dynamite just comes up from behind and nails Jacques in the back of the head. Raymond, who was had an injured knee and could hardly walk, tries to calm the situation down and as soon as he turns his back, Dynamite coldcocks him too. So I guess this could be considered eye for an eye, repaying a sucker punch with a sucker punch.

    • @MxMoondoggie
      @MxMoondoggie 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      +Donny Icarus What they never talk about is that it wasn't one punch the two of them took shots at Dynamite after the punch but couldn't knock him off his feet before they were separated. Bad News appeared and they both ran for it. Raymond claims to have done nothing but many witnesses claim he laid a few jabs in. Many also believe Pat Patterson was in on it probably under pressure by them and Dino Bravo and he kept Dynamite behind alone in a meeting so he wouldn't have back up. They were prepared to call up people and even gave addresses to Dno Bravo to pass on to dodgy friends and have Dynamite killed if it carried on. they are scumbags.
      The situation got out of control and there were people on the outside stirring it up for their own amusement but the Rougeaus were not innocent by any means and probably worse. They were not particularly liked in the locker room probably because like Dino Bravo they had links to dodgy gangsters.
      Dynamite also offered them the chance to fight it out plenty of times but they chose to handle things by setting him up and jumping him then running like cowards. It was unnecessary in many ways too they knew that the whole thing with Dynamite getting pissed was due to others stirring the pot but neither of them went to Dynamite and sat down like "Hey people said stuff about you messing with us that wasn't true and we didn't actually go to Vince about it we just want to put all this behind us"
      No Dynamite hurt their pride by showing them up in the locker room so they want to make a point that they and none of the French Canadians are to be messed with.

      why isn't he or the bulldog in the hall of fame yet????

    • @shadowdramon01
      @shadowdramon01 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +kieron20069 - from what I understand, Dynamite Kid was an extremely horrible human being behind the scenes, doing a lot of drugs and beating his wife and kids. And since WWE was willing to distance themselves from their biggest star for racist comments made in a private conversation, I guess this is just them showing some consistency.

    • @kieron20069
      @kieron20069 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      +Omar Harris the hall of fame should be based on talent and what that individual has done to impact the business. Their private lives or popularity with the boys shouldnt be effected. the ultimate warrior was hard to get on with and was even rumoured to have pulled a gun on vince mcmahon some 20 years back. Yet he, along with many others who have a seeded past, have been inducted. Its a shame Benoit's life ended the way it did as he was definately deserving of a spot. He was an amazing performer and obviously was inspired a lot by the dynamite kid. Half of the hall of fame inductees have a bad past and have been involved in some sort of scandal over the years and yet are still in. The situation with Hogan is most probably payback for when Hogan testified against mcmahon during the steriod court battle and left the company, almost putting vince out of business. vince is clearly still bitter about that as erasing someone's legacy for mentioning something funny many years back, as being racist is petty. Besides vince once used the same word to jon cena during a live ppv in 2005/6 i think.

    • @shadowdramon01
      @shadowdramon01 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +kieron20069 - I kind of agree and disagree. As much as talent and in ring success is important, sometimes, I feel a wrestlers personal life should have some degree of influence, especially now that WWE is back in full, 1980s, sell-to-the-whole-family mode.
      If you ever look up Dynamite Kid and where he's at nowadays, from what I've seen of documentaries and videos, (I remember him being on a Chris Benoit documentary for 60 Minutes or something like that, about steroid use in wrestling, back when everyone thought Benoit snapped because of Roid Rage) and the guy's in a really bad place where he's stuck in a wheelchair, has all but destroyed his body, his kids want nothing to do with him and his colleagues from back in the day avoid him like the plague.
      I can understand forgiving guys for drugs and prostitutes and putting them in the Hall, but if DK really was that much of a cunt in real life, I also fully understand WWE permanently distancing themselves from him.

    • @kieron20069
      @kieron20069 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Omar Harris you make a valid point there omar. Another superstar who is more deserving yet won't be inducted due to a seeded past...is chyna. Any wrestling fan will know the impact she had on the business and other superstars/divas. We also know that despite the excuse triple h used on Austin's podcast for not inducting her, the real reason is stephanie mcmahon. she obviously hates chyna and of course is responsible for the break up. Triple h is protecting his investment so to speak within the company.

      Shoot wrestler vs martial asrtist
      One thing that bodes for Dynamite is that he was known as a tough guy in an era full of tough guys.
      Bret has said in interviews that Dynamite feared no one and would fight anyone. Story in his book about Dynamite almost fighting Harley Race

    • @MxMoondoggie
      @MxMoondoggie 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A lot of people around them stirred the pot really but the fight was too far gone by the time anybody knew the truth and after backing down from Dynamite and Jacques being put down by Dynamite the Rougeaus felt they had lost face so wanted to get him back. They had connections in Quebec and were known to be pretty dodgy which they liked they didn't want anybody to mess with them. They knew guys like Dino Bravo who were part of that crowd too so they conspired to sucker punch Dynamite. Pat Patterson another French Canadian held Dynamite back for a meeting in the cafeteria and then started making small talk with them before Dynamite came out some speculate he was in on it for whatever reason maybe he was scared of them too.
      After the fact Vince stepped in and if he didn't they had Dynamite's home address in Canada with his wife and kids names and they were going to pass that on to connections to sort things out but Vince managed to convince them all to shake hands by threatening to withhold money they were owed. Whole situation could have got a lot worse than it did. Dynamite for his part was being a bully and ignored warnings not to take things further and keep pushing them including from Dino Bravo who tried to warn him that it would be dangerous since he was friends with all of them but Dynamite didn't listen and kept messing with them.

      Dymanite is oh dang, this is the best comparison I have he was like the kid on the football team in school. around the coach that he thought of as like a father figure, in his case it was Harley Race, he was very respectful, very nice, showed all the class in the world but around the guys on the team he could get in trouble, he was quick tempered and the other wrestlers knew that and as Jake said they would get him hot and ready to fight then sit back and watch.

    • @MxMoondoggie
      @MxMoondoggie 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You take 10 stories and maybe you get some of the truth. Everyone has their own angle they want to play though. Most fans seem to prefer the angle that the Rougeaus were innocent victims in it all that were scared of a bully. They fail to mention in their side of the story that their family has mafia links and that they were planning to put a hit out on Kid and his family since he was going to get them back for jumping him. Vince himself had to step in and threaten them with losing pay offs for them to stop and had them all shake hands. He had to pay for Dynamite's dental bills and withhold pay offs so he'd agree on his part since he was pissed about them giving his details to the mafia.
      Rougeaus are assholes and crooks, all those French Canadians were really, Dino Bravo died cos he crossed those same people the Rougeaus had links to. Pat Patterson was paid off to help them get Dynamite, that day he called Dynamite into a fake meeting to discuss an angle so he'd be alone without his friends and he led Dynamite into a trap. They talk like it was all by chance but that was total bullshit lol. They slipped Pat some money and probably got him a male prostitute or two lol.

      dynamite is a legend son

    • @DrBeef216
      @DrBeef216 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, he is not. A legend is someone that transcends the sport or activity they're known for. A legend in wrestling is a household name, someone that transcends the industry. Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Randy Savage, Bret, HBK, Flair, Austin, Rock - these are legends. Dynamite was a good in-ring wrestler in his day, but he wasn't even a headliner, let alone a legend.

    • @Talal_111
      @Talal_111 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Dr.Beef he wasn't a headliner in america, his japanese matches speak for themselves. he was ahead of his time, even bret and shawn were stuck in tag teams at the time because wwf cared more about size than talent.
      which is ironic because judging by the latest wrestlemania, most of the wrestlers don't even lift weights now
