Dude, we can't all all afford better displays - this is a general criticism that I have regarding reviewers of PC hardware, "if it isn't top of the line then it is crap", keep an open mind and do realize that while most people will be more than happy to see a review of something high end, a lot of us simply cannot afford it or find it anything but reasonable to find a place for a 4K monitor in their monthly expenses. It is a big world, and not every country pays equally for the same provided effort.

Recommending AOC 24g2u over XG2705 is a really bad advice. First off, Viewsonic offers better quality control, secondly, according to my personal observation 27" panels are not just about the size, but also about quality. Manufacturer aside, they don't suffer as much from dead pixels in general. Not sure why, perhaps it has something to do with pixel density or maybe anything greater than 24 employs more accurate technology. 24g2u uses Panda, and frankly, when it comes to quality both AOC and Panda suck, people return these monitors every day in bulks and while they're pretty cool on the outside they definitely aren't worth any expenditure, I would only accept one like that for free.

So how is it?
lol I still have a 19" CRT from the 90s my wife uses it as a second monitor... Longest lasting brand I ever owned.
I'm looking for a 27" 1440p 144hz, you can easily get one for
wow you're also staying with the news? cheers~!
This monitor is widely available for £230 - I purchased one months ago, still the same price. Unsure where he's getting his pricing from
, given even the link in the description goes to a £228.75 purchase.

"I just don't understand why 27-inch 1080p"

Should I get this, viewsonic xg2405, or the aoc 27g2? They’re all about the same price in my country
Do you mean the 24g2u from your other comment? If so, I'd recommend that personally. Otherwise the 24" viewsonic.
antonio santuy if it doesn’t matter , I think that the aoc 27g2 will be the better buy
I have this monitor and I don’t know what he’s talking about it’s amazing
Hello great video. Just curious if you still have that monitor in your possession what is the input lag on the monitor when you average the top/middle/and bottom areas?
Mine is amazing. I prefer it over 1440p. MSI 144HZ 27 in.

I'm after a 27" for ps4 gaming but I was thinking to buy the 1440p but since the ps4 is only 1080p Will the image look bad? I've used an 24" for a week to try it in COD and think 24" is a bit small for me due to been using an 49" 1080 TV.
Yes, the image will look a bit blurry
I use a 27" 1080p monitor, but I'm not really a gamer. Cities Skylines and Airport CEO only. I mainly use it for watching TH-cam videos or TV whilst I'm fixing computers/laptops. Its an older LOC model, but works fine for me. Multimedia, not gaming is the market?
is it comfortable on the eyes for the long term?
@@firmansyahfahmi6884 It was, mate, especially at night with "Night Mode" on. Recently got a Samsung LS34J550WQUXEN 34" widescreen for an incredibly good price and it's awesome, 27" has gone to our son for gaming and he's really happy with it. Just remember to turn on "Night Mode" in Windows 10.
Is the quality clear enough when watching videos?
@@explicit575 Absolutely. Most videos are 1080p anyway and your average TV is way bigger than 27".

I use a 40 inch TV as my monitor. Its 1080p 60hz and I set the image to 150% Works great, I game, do text, and its waaaaay bigger than a 27 inch monitor. The idea that you cannot go bigger than 24 inch is nonsense.
I'm just stepping up to 1440p, and after researching it have found that resolutions "sweet spot" to be 27", BUT I'm getting a 32" 1440p, simply for the larger screen for movies.
I dont know what to do, 24 inch 165hz 1080p OR a 27 inch 165 hz 1080p both the same price. Any suggestions?

lol buy 4k 144hz or 25 inch 1440p
Agree, base on my personal experience
you will apreciate 27'' monitors when you are 50 ... you will then understand :D
nah just buy a tv
Which one i should buy? This or MSI Optix Mag 274r2
this monitor have another varient with identical panel and feature on 24 inch (xg2405) which is close to aoc24g2 and much better color calibrated . but i agree with you 27 inch at sub 300 euro is way too expensive and there are much better options in the market other than this one
Can you elaborate ? Which 27 1080 are better for the price ? Thank you
I think they use different panels, xg2705 has a better and more reliable one, I don't believe I've seen people complain about dead pixels a lot.
I have a samsung1366 x 768 17 inch monitor If I upgraded to 1080p 27 inch using it for first time will I be able to notice the pixel density
there needs to be more 24-25 inch 1440p/4k displays.
How does this compare to the VX2781-MH model ?
I can get the latter for much less and wonder if it is worth it.
The *VX2781-MH* only has 75 Hz while on the other hand the *XG2705* has 144 Hz, you should take a look at other videos explaining what monitor Hz do and how having a higher one could be beneficial to you (also look at some comparisons between the Hz to get a clearer comparison between the two~).
I bought a LG27GL600 for 200€. The 24 Inch was about 20€ cheaper so i Go with the bigger one.
want to stay at 144hz at native resolution 1080p. that's why I would go for 1080p instead of 1440p, also like to have high fov (120) to see enemies.........in Australia this monitor is only $20 more than the 24inch
Can u compare this to the Cooler master 1080p curve VA monitor ..since the Cooler master is far more cheaper 20$ less here than ViewSonic
what about if I run 1080p on a 1440p display, will it still look bad? lol genuine question
depends on your screen size

I dont get "you can almost see the individual pixel", did you place monitor 5-10cm from your eyes? lol
I dont get it, ViewSonic claim 1 ms MPRT and in the video it looked like this thing had a lot of ghosting.

Can you help? For me as a person who have never experienced anything like 1440p, will the pixel density be noticeable on a 27"?

Hi everyone! Planning to have a monitor on top side of my bed for gaming/working while laying since my back hurts easily while on setting position, would a 27inch 1600x900/1080p enough for a 2 meters distance from my eye to the monitor?
Could you do a review of the MSI Optix MAG274?
whats the best setting for this monitor, tried searching but i cant find any
27” 1080p is great I legit never noticed it my whole time playing which is all Time cause I only play 27 1080 😂
There are some relatively good price high class TN 1440p 27"monitors in my country, could I use it with my 1070ti/ ryzen 5 1600... Or better stick to a 1080p monitor? Im going to upgrade my rig in 1-2 years maybe, depending on how shitty it becomes..
1070ti you need to lower game settings, your processor is consider a bottleneck tho, stick with 1080 and you are gucci unless you want to get a better cpu and play 1440p at lower settings barely reaching 60-65 fps for high demanding games, just count how much fps u have right now and expect it to be deducted around 30fps and that is the the actual fps you are going to get when running on 1440p.
@antonio santuy it is worth it, be sure to have free sync on your monitor as well, if you're not planning to use g-sync in the future then 5600xt works fine cuz its AMD card
I paid half of that and I am very satisfied, If I had paid double, it would be too expansive anyway. Anyway, compared to what I had, its a homerun! :P
Hello, building my first pc. What about the Pixio PX275h 27 inch 95Hz IPS DCI-P3? its 1440p has an inbetween refresh rate of 95hz, aroud £260 which is my upper limmit for a monitor. I am planning on buying the rx 5700xt graphics card too.
kind regards :)
I currently have a 27in 1440p 144hz monitor and for me the benefit of high refresh rates paired with high frames is more than the ppi so I am considering replacing it with a 1080p model. The density is not very noticeable in games and I’m tired of needing ever more increasingly expensive gpus to drive 1440p especially with RT or some of these new and unoptimized games.
Totally legit perspective. Everything will be bigger on 1080 anyway so you can just sit a bit farther without losing too much picture quality, while saving $$$ both on the monitor and new GPUs.
My monitor is a 40 inch 1080p TV. Pixel density is atrocious.
What an abomination

Ehm, Viewsonic XG2705 is a 1440p? Why does the title say 1080p?
Ok it's settled, if your going for a 1080p get a 24" monitor, a monitor larger than 24" should be 1440p or higher.

24 is mad small. I own a 27 and sit about the same distance as you. Looks perfectly fine. People complaining about pixelation on 27" monitors either sit to close, or have owned a 1440p screen for an extended period of time and became picky.

Can't get 240Hz at higher than 27" 1080p right now
There is a 280hz monitor but it's an IPS so no pro gamer would use it
I don’t see a reason as to why you’d want larger than that though. 240Hz is only good for FPS games and you wouldn’t want a larger monitor for those anyway. There isn’t really a point in higher than 144 or maybe even 165 for anything else
Wouldn't give it more than 200 USD.

@@lucozademan999 yep
@@lucozademan999 You would have a future proof monitor in case of an upgrade. remember that although you won't get more than 70fps still you will have a much better picture than 1080p. it depends on what type of games you also like to play, if for example you like playing bf5 and your pc can't handle more than 100fps on ultra at 1440p, than in that case it would be better a 1080p monitor.
