I eat a lot before gym, and there is a risk to getting fat some point. That's why I go to scale at every saturday morning, so if have have gained weight, I start to cut next week. It has worked me this year and it is easier to accomplish than raw dieting with lots of weight to lose.

so assuming only a slow calorie surplus bulk when do you think someone should stop bulking is it at a bf% or a waist measurement since it also starts to mess up your hormones. for me for sure at 38 inch waist its a bit to much I am 6ft tall though. the formula is usually go by is height/2 is your max waist measurement Idk if that sounds good.
Have a mate who's trained his whole but lets himself go completely. Hewill periodically return to training hard out for a few months every few years and I have, hand on heart, seen him go from 48kg to 75kg in 3-months eating absolute shit like maccas ice cream and what not. He is only about 5ft 7 and trains like a beast - high reps, very intense, long workouts. Just good genetics and massive insulin spikes gets him jacked in a few months. Veins in both arms, peaked biceps and 6 pack. Have never met anyone else who can do it. He does it all natural too.
Yes you're right. I once gained 8 - 10kg of bodyweight in 10 days during Christmas and new year, visiting friends. it was so delicious hahaha but years after that I couldn't loss that fat at all.... Maybe I get some muscle and lose fat and the weight is same but I have still much fat
I have watched quite a few of your videos over the past week or so and I like what you have to say. Only once did I encounter something that made me raise my eyebrows. That was when I watched your take on the overhead press. You said to do a push press to get the weight up over your head, then start doing the rep work strict but not going down to your shoulders again, so the first push press does not count as a rep. Hmmm. I have never encountered this advice before. It certainly is interesting, but I really prefer doing all my reps strict starting from my shoulders, unless I do a push press, in which case I still start from my shoulders. Sure, my head is in the way and the bar needs to go up straight, but there's ways to get your head out the way. When I start from my shoulders, I feel much more balanced and grounded than when the bar is for example just below my neck. I have the flexibility. I also manage to keep my wrists straight, which is needed to have the bar track upward in a straight line. I tried to get someone to get into that position, but obviously many don't have the flexibility to get into that position right away. Even I didn't have so, but I worked at it. Anyway, quite refreshing to see someone who looks like a bodybuilder talk sense. I mean, from the first video I saw of you I thought here we have someone who is/was not natural and on TH-cam that usually means the onset of bro science. However, you are very knowledgeable and bring your message across well. I personally have nothing against certain muscle-enhancing stuff, even though I don't dabble in them (except food and creatine). It's just that IMO many who choose to do so do so without having a firm grasp on training and it's done just for ego-inflation and attention. You explained it well in a video of yours, explaining among other things why it is that enhanced trainees can rely on machine work and lots of reps to grow muscle. For a natural, that doesn't work (long time). A natural needs exercises of a higher quality, which stimulate much more of the body, and the focus needs to be more on strength building, but of course also more typical hypertrophy work with, say, sets of 8-12. All that takes much more skill than sitting on a machine making faces. Anyway, the old-school bodybuilders used quality exercises, but these days it seems to be all machine work and I find that extremely boring. Most gyms are still stocked with machines of all sorts these days. Exceptions are usually Crossfit boxes, which is another topic, hahah. No wonder few book any noteworthy gains.
Well that has nothing to do with productivity in terms of effectiveness in creating hypertrophy, more fat equals better leverage which means you'll be "stronger" in some lifts than if you'd be leaner, that is true. As for hypertrophy and from a bodybuilding perspective it's counterproductive, it leads to lower testosterone, a higher conversion of testosterone to estrogen through the aromatase enzyme, this means gains will slow down, furthermore it negates the purpose of looking good most of the time and requires you to cut for a much longer period which means gains will stagnate or it might even cause a drawback. As for powerlifters they can and even should be slightly fatter as this helps them reach their purpose of lifting as much as possible.
roflolmaomgf Yeah i eat at maintenance i feel for most of my lifting career. Im sitting on a 300 bench, 400 squat and 500 deadlift. Never will i bulk fuck changing clothes
if you're not gaining weight then you're not eating in a surplus so you're not "bulking". This could be because you're eating too much protein. Eating less protein will make you hungrier and allow you to eat more carbs or fat. Anything above 0.8g/body weight of protein is enough and if you have trouble eating more you might want to avoid going above that 0.8-1g range as protein (especially whole foods) is high in satiety. A good way to add calories without resorting to eating junk food would be nuts, as they can be very high in calorie quite easily and are also nutritious. Also try adding extra olive oil, or butter to your meals, salads etc. to add more calories without feeling like you're eating more.
Eat more.Your body's using the food your eating and you dont have enough left over to add weight.everyone is different some people get fat on 3k cals.some need 4k plus to gain.Keep track of your cals and add 200cals a week until you gain 1lb to 2lb a week.
