In the 87th episode of Demystifying Design, I'll be redesigning LinkedIn. I've already done this once before, but I've grown so much so it's time to take it on again.
Today, we'll take on the challenge of redesigning the LinkedIn profile UI to improve user experience and enhance professional networking. Our goal is to create a more intuitive, visually appealing, and efficient interface that better serves the needs of professionals worldwide. Through a step-by-step process, we analyze the current design, identify areas for improvement, and apply modern UI design principles to create a concept that emphasizes usability, accessibility, and engagement. We discuss the rationale behind each design decision, from layout adjustments and typography choices to color schemes and interactive elements. This video is not only a showcase of the redesign process but also a valuable resource for UI/UX designers looking to understand the complexities of designing for professional platforms. Join us as we explore the potential impact of thoughtful design on professional networking and personal branding on LinkedIn.
This entire redesign took me about 9 hours to complete (over 2 days). Hope you enjoy!
