@@DesignerUp It was so detailed and comprehensive. I don’t think you left any stone unturned. Not only did you promote the product, you also looked at examples in which user profiles could be improved.
Thanks for sharing this video. It's truly enlightening. As a beginner in product design, could you offer any guidance on incorporating keywords into the bio section of LinkedIn?
Focus on two things: 1. Understand what type of industry/work you’re best suited to 2. Understand who is hiring designers in that space and what problems they are facing Use keywords that are at the intersection. Remember keywords are all about the perspective of who is searching for them. Get into their head and write about things they would be searching for. This is great going to make definitely upgrade my linkedin profile! On your resume and work experience would leave in the jobs you have done in the past that don't' have anything to do with UX?
If you have enough relevant UX experience you can leave them out. If you don’t then you can leave them in but make sure to tie them back to how it informs what you do in UX now. For example say you worked in retail…you could say ‘my time working in retail gave me experience speaking directly to customers and learning how to engage with them, this is a skill that helps me greatly during user research and interviews as a UX designer…”
So let net give you this situation. I want to know you opinion. I’ve got 10 years experience as a digital marketer and graphic designer. Should I change everything to UX/UI design on my cv and portfolio or is it ok to have something like “UXUi Designer / Senior Marketing Executive?“ on my cv, in a way that I can apply for both jobs. I am so confused right now.
Hi Jhon, it’s hard for me to say without understanding your personal goals and experience. If you’re interested in booking a career strategy session with me you can contact me at learn[at]designerup.co
Very educative video as usual. I am a writer, and also a junior ui/ux designer, but I don't know how to go about writing my summary and about me. I don't want to leave out writing against design and also don't want to focus on only design. How do you suggest I apply this formula?
Thanks Anastasia. I would reccomend looking for the connecting threads between what you do as a writer and as a designer. For example writing is a powerful part of how users understand and experience digital products, everything from UX writing, content writing and marketing. Look for common themes in the two things and then explain how being writer and UX designer informs what you’re able to do and the value you can provide.
@@DesignerUp I've never thought about this way. Thank you so much. Would you mind if I send the writeup to you when I'm done? I hope it's not too forward.

Can we add personal project in project section?
Yes definitely! That’s a great place to feature personal projects

The about I think I will leave blank for now.
That seems to be the hardest part to fill out.
It’s definetly the most time consuming part, just add to it little by little, a few sentences with keywords here and there are good to get started.
great
Great video! but remember not everyone watching is based in the UK
14:49 no thanks
why is this all 'politics' I hate it.. :/
