U can't talk abt deception without mentioning tai tzu ying. She's the greatest and entertaining trickster ever, even above lin dan in this department. So smooth and unpredictable. I like it as many does.

A proper shuttle with off-set feathers will allow some spin. I play with cheaper nylon and as the feathers are even it's not possible to impart spin.
