Corey..... Thank you for sharing the new for this year....... I tried EVERY AVENUE I could think of (to no avail) to get my hands on the Amazonas Plum Cockatoo!!! I am so hoping to find it next season!!!!!
The newer varieties can be more expensive for nurseries to carry, so sometimes they're reluctant to carry them. If you have a relationship with the people at your local nursery, maybe you can talk them into trying one or two new varieties next season.
That doesn’t happen all that often, but it’s interesting when you find one (FYI - BIG begonias are supposed to be the same as Surefire begonias, and the BIGs are available from seed).
This year I found a dark potato Vine deeply lobed with blooming flowers on it. The color of. Super tunia vista Bordeaux, have you ever seen one of those? It is absolutely stunning.
Thank you for sharing all the varieties available this year! You do such a great job, and I plan to add many of the flowers you have recommended! So thrilled to have found your channel!
Thrilled to hear you’ve gotten some inspiration. Hopefully, you’ve got a great local nursery that is able to get many of these new varieties. If not, let them know what you’re looking for and they may have some alternatives.
Good eye. I thought the exact thing and looked up the patent info right away. It’s an incredible plant, so I’m glad it’ll be available to more people this season.
Choosing a favorite is always a challenge… there’s always great plants we have to cut from the list ☹️ Looking forward to your visit. We have the best selection of annuals in May… after that, we move into perennials, trees, she shrubs.
both of the yellow suptertunia vistas I got last year were a complete bust. I had it matched with the jazzberry in my filberts pot and they died out so quick. I was really disappointed with it. I'm excited to try saffron finch this year!
@UpNorthGardenMI I'm genuinely not sure, i pulled it, immediately replaced with the bubblegum and they did splendidly. I didn't change watering habits or the soil between plants. Sometimes i think plants just don't wanna live. I try to be respectful of their choices.
@@amandabottoms1 Yep. Sometimes it's better to just let the plants tell you what's going to grow (but it's still fun to try... and every once in a while get a surprise).
I hve the Saffron Finch and love the color. I would have bought more than one but there was only one left. I put it in a large pot because I never do hanginging bakets. It is getting a bit leggy already. What to do? Should I cut it back now?
Have you been fertilizing it every week with water soluble fertilizer? I suggest trimming it back and then fertilize. The other cause of leggy petunias can be lack of sun.
@@UpNorthGardenMI Thanks. I haven't fertilized yet because I just bought it a few weeks ago. I then realized that a tree was keeping the sun which used to be strong in this spot now casts dappled shade over it on the west side of my house in the afternoon.. I shall do what you suggest. Thanks!
They are both plants that can come in mounding or mounding/trailing varieties, but they have different looks when it comes to color and flower look. Both have fragrant foliage, but they smell very different from each other. I’d suggest a visit to your local garden center - the differences are better experienced in-person.
I haven’t grown Amazonas or Tea so I’m not certain on those, but all the others don’t require deadheading… you can if you like, but otherwise the wind takes care of them.
Thank you for your wonderful videos. I live in sub tropical Australia and still find loads of inspiration.

I've actually noticed the Supercal french vanilla shifts colors more than the others, it actually turns pink around the edges!
Corey,Thank you so much for all the great info on the different kinds on petunias out there and how to care for them. I do love petunias!
Corey, such excellent info on petunias. I sure learned so much on these beautiful flowers. Keep up the great work. Thank you
LOL, Im watching this countless times. ❤
I love them all! I just wish our greenhouses in Manitoba would carry more variety and more of the new plants.

I just love your videos. Saves us so much time. I am.saving these for my pot selections this year. ❤
Thanks Corey for enlightenment about Bee's Knees and Saffron Finch. I will pay attention to the patent numbers now.

@@UpNorthGardenMI so great to know! I always like doing comparisons and finding twins for some reason 😊

Bordeaux is a beauty and it looks nice with so many other colors.
Love that you go over several lines and growers and so many varieties!
This year I found an dark potato Vine deeply loaded with flowers the color of.
What's up, current day?
I ordered saffron finch for our downtown flowers this year, if we can get it!
🤞

Excited to get my hands on the Amazonas Plum Cockatoo Petunia. Gorgeous! Also are Petchoas self cleaning?
Yes, all the petchoas we’ve grown have been self-cleaning.
I just love the purple green rim
I thought the Saffron Finch and Bee's Knees looked super similar, and even thought to myself, could they be the same plant?
Good eye. I thought the exact thing and looked up the patent info right away. It’s an incredible plant, so I’m glad it’ll be available to more people this season.
I'm thinking of trying the jazzberry this year.
I would love to be able to grow these in Ireland 😢. Great videos
Maybe one day!
How can you pick a favorite. They’re all amazing. Heading over to part 1.

I love them all
There are so many great new plants ❤️❤️❤️
I’m trying the seed petchoa soon. Ordered from swallowtail.
Once established they've been very easy for us to grow, so I think I'm going to try a few seeds next year too.

Oh no, I wonder what went wrong with the Mini Vista Yellows. I think you’ll be very happy with the Saffron Finch - it would look great with Jazzberry.

What is the difference between lantana and verbena?

❤?where to buy the petchoa seeds please?
The only petchoa seeds I’ve seen are Caliburst Yellow - most are propagated by cuttings.
Do these Petunias require dead heading?

Do you ship?
Sorry. We’re not set up for shipping.
Are all of these from Proven Winners?
No, only a few are Proven Winners -- just the Supertunias, Superbenas, Superbells, Upside Sweet Potato Vine, Coconut A-Peel black-eyed Susan vine.
Whenever I see new flowers, I know they won't reach my area for a few years😢
Time for a flower roadtrip :)
