Mega Extended Selfie Stick Shots
With an extra-long telescope stick you can use the full potential of the Insta360 X3. Due to the large range of motion of the extended selfie stick, the videos look like drone shots. The Flowstate stabilization also ensures buttery-smooth, perfectly stabilized Shots with the Insta360 X3.
Epic Timelapse Push
The trick is to merge two individual shots together. Set up your Insta360 X3 and record a Standard-video where you perform the Timelapse Push movement. Then switch to the timelapse function and capture a time-lapse. In post-processing, you can then mask out the background of the standard video and exchange it with the timelapse. By reframing you can add camera pans, this makes the Shot look even more impressive.
"Tilt your phone" Instagram Reel
Because the Insta360 X3 is a 360-degree camera, the pan, tilt and roll movement can be adjusted as desired in post-processing. Therefore, it is very easy to create the "tilt your phone" Reel or TikTok. In Insta360 Studio you have to set the ratio to 9:16. Set the first keyframe where you specify the direction and a second where you change the roll angle to 90°.
Dynamic 360 Bullet time SloMo Shots
The Insta360 X3 allows you to create breathtaking 360 Bullet time SloMo Shots in 4K - 120fps or even 180fps in 3K. The unique feature is the so called “invisible selfie stick”. This makes it look like a drone is circling around you.
Underwater Transition
The Insta360 X3 is waterproof up to 10meters and can therefore also be used for underwater videos. The underwater transition is a good trick to use such underwater Shots in a creative way.
Rise up Shots
Rise up Shots are easy to create, and very spectacular. Mount your Insta360 X3 on a telescope stick and slowly move it upwards. Find an interesting environment such as a tree in the forest or various other objects. Rotation and panning reframing movements can be used to make the Rise up Shot look more dynamic and interesting.
"Pass by Location change" Transition
For this transition trick you can use the 4K Single Lens Mode. This allows you to shoot traditional 4K wide angle videos. Create a Shot where a person walks in front or next to you. Then pass this person very close. Create a second Shot where you are very close to the person at the beginning and then move away. If you now cut both sequences where you are very close to the object, you will get the “Pass by Location change” Transition.
Golf Swing
This Insta360 X3 trick is one of my favorites. First, extend the selfie stick and simulate a classic golf swing. To simulate the flying of the golf ball, you need to create a hyperlapse shot. To do this, walk along a straight path. Move the camera along the course in a curve from the bottom to the top and back down again, to simulate the flightcurve of a golf ball. Then speed up the Shot to simulate a flying golf ball. In addition, you can add various reframing movements, such as rotating when the golf ball hits the ground. This Insta360 X3 trick is unique and your viewers will enjoy watching it!
Rotating landscape flip
For the rotating landscape flip, we again use the bullet time function of the Insta360 X3. Mount your X3 to the bullet-time cord or selfie stick and swing it around your head. Do this in a variety of landscapes. By adding speed ramps in post-processing you can add together the final “rotating landscape flip” effect.

Hello, does it come with a sling string wired securely to your hand, we wouldn't accidentally drop the camera into water fall below while swinging the stick?

Nice shots & thanks for the ideas🙌 quick question, if you would edit for example a fpv shot as instagram Reels(1080×1920) in Premiere Pro, do you import it in the highest resolution and set the "sequence settings" accordingly and start editing? Or edit first(directions, motion blur etc.) and then cut it to the suitable resolution?

Very intriguing! I'm looking to ditch GoPro as they seem to be going downhill. Hero 8 Black is what I'm still using but, seems like GoPro is done innovating and basically trying to keep up with DJI and Insta 360. Great videos and ideas, and I'm very close to pulling the trigger on this little camera!
I have a GoPro Hero 10 and the Insta360 x3. I think that the x3 is an addition to the GoPro, the quality it delivers its way lower than the GoPro, even in single lens 4k mode. Most shots I would use the GoPro for the quality, but some shots can only be possible with the 360.

Anyways.. I always skim vids just in case they'll inspire a new idea, etc. and 'it clicked'..
Funny enough - There's "Bullet Time" and "Golf Swing" names for each of those effects..
I literally need to use the Golf-Swing effect for a real-life/real-time Bullet-Flight!
[Essentially following a bullet from point a to point b: Rifle To Target]
I do precision air rifle shooting, and that effect has been a real challenge/pain in the past..
NOW, I think that these I-360 tricks will pull it off Better . . And . . With Less Time/Effort!
I'll have to try to remember to update / keep everyone posted after I give it a whirl..

PS: The bullet/pellet following effect:
Go back in time like 10 years.. I had to customize micro cams / 'spy cams', etc.
then literally/physically run them along a line - think zipcord.. Point A to Point B
Also, using green screen / cropping / etc. What a p.i.t.a.
I've also used things like mini-borescopes, FPV mini cams, a few BlowPros, etc.
IMO, NOTHING mentioned [and then some] would be as easy as the I-360 method[s] 🤘
