The pro isn't meant to be a budget device anyway. The pro is competing directly with Samsung, Apple, and Huawei's premium offerings. People in the US already have a 6t, why would they buy it again? I don't think it's a better deal as much as it's a different deal than the 7pro. Two devices, two different price segments.

I would not have gotten the 7 anyway, rather go for a S10+ in that case because I found it for sell at about the same price but with shitty Exynous in my country. Also I'm not really a fan of Samsung devices from personal experience but I got to say that going from an iPhone to OnePlus 7 Pro feels like the right choice. The speed is there and it's even faster, the cameras are better than my old iPhone especially after the 9.5.7 update and the battery keeps way longer.

Extremely satisfied OnePlus 3 owner here. Just purchased the 7 online for US$480 (red, 8G with an additional cover) and for that price I feel like I'm getting one of the best phones at an exceptional price. Do yourself a favour and experience Oxygen OS - it's a dream to live with.

Higher benchmarks (all) as it has same internals but has to power a smaller full HD vs quad hd display and at 60 Hz vs 90 Hz. 4. Smaller battery but longer battery life due to 60 Hz full hd display 5. Face unlock will be faster as it doesn't have a popup camera. 6. Better ergonomics(easier to hold)
You forgot to mention the efficiency and bloat-free advantage of OxygenOS over the MIUI or other ROMs. I think that matters in daily usage a lot over time.

Sorry, but think this a quite biased review. I have the Samsung S10, Google Pixel 3 XL and Oneplus 7. I keep changing my my sim card back to OP7. Not the best camera but the battery life is insane. I get around 8 sot. It is a fast phone, it has a dual stere speakers. What else do you need? I am testing the Asus Zenfone 6 and ZTE Axon 10 Pro. None of them can beat the OP7. The 3 cameras on the ZTE is useless, terrible camera.
The 7 has a larger top speaker grill and dual speaker grill on the bottom (whereas the 7 pro has 1 on the left bottom) but do these changes give an advantage to the 7 against the 7 pro?

I feel like the only thing they missed with this device would be the price. People have gotten used to seeing OnePlus releasing devices which are priced a good bit below the competition. Now they're beginning to match the competition and while that does mean some more features, I feel most people just don't care.
A lot people in India don't as they feel anything over $500 is highway robbery. They complained about the 6t price too. The 7pro wasn't meant for you. It's more than $300 less than the premium devices they're directly competing against.

I have the 7 pro and usually go home with over 50% battery. I drain it by playing 2-3 hours of mobile legends but that's another story. It could easily handle 2 days of my daily use. Two days ago I went home (at around 7 PM) with 80% battery. Right now it's 11:45 AM where I am and still have 90% of my battery from 96% (when I unplugged the phone) around 8:35 AM. Current SOT is 36 minutes and I get around 4-5 hours in a normal day. It really depends on what I do on the phone in that day.

Yes, I prefer OnePlus over any other phones mentioned because no matter how robust, I still don't want pop-up or other camera mechanisms. MiUI also makes me hate that phone no matter how much value for money it serves.

Yes, it can. That was a deciding factor when I bought my Oneplus 7.
Update: they removed that feature with oxygen 10, but I can still get rid of it with Nacho Notch from the play store.

Bra don't set your shutter equal to the Hz on the screens. There's flickering
That flicker happens because the screens are pwm dimmed, which means they blink rapidly. That is much faster than 60hz.

Both speaker grills aren't used for sound just like the 6t. Single bottom speaker only.
