Oneplus One, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 7 Pro... That's my OnePlus history. I haven't had any other phones in between. The 7 Pro is the best phone I've ever had.
I bought the OnePlus 7 Pro on launch day from T-Mobile. The T-Mobile variant does not come with the preinstalled screen protector. I didn't notice till the next day and went to go get one installed at my local T-Mobile store. When I got there, I noticed that my screen had scratches from my jeans. Nothing else in my pockets. The change pocket on my pants rubbed the screen and left quite a few scratches. Very surprising.

1:55 - The 7 Pro comes with Gorilla glass 5, rather than the somewhat standard Gorilla glass 6 found on the normal 7 model. This is primarily due to the curved screen, and is also the reason why OnePlus currently doesn't sell a screenprotector for the 7 Pro, but sells one to the normal version... Other popular stores such as Dbrand, sells their "Prism" screenprotector for the 7, but do not have plans to add one for the 7 Pro any time soon, which is a bummer. I'm sure you can find some cheaper 9H tempered glass for the 7 Pro on Amazon, but they're much lower quality, and mine on the 7 Pro already shattered when it encountered a table corner.

Returned the OP7 Pro for a regular OP7. Was a great decision. Curved screen was absolutely terrible; massive reflections and white bezels, not practical at all, gorilla glass 5 (OP7Pro) vs 6 ( OP7). Furthermore, the OP7Pro was clunky, thick and too large. Battery life on the OP7Pro with the 1440p 90hz screen was bad. @@merwinpique I've had my OnePlus 7 pro for almost 2 weeks. I had a Samsung Galaxy S9+ before it. It was a very good phone but I needed a dual sim phone so I got the Op7pro. The things I like about the Op7pro is, of course, the dual sim, the screen is brilliant and smooth, the phone is very fast, the battery lasts me on average a bit more than a whole day with over 7 hours of SOT, the warp charging, and finally the phone just looks so good! I hope that helps.
Buy them both if you want the ideal media machine and daily driver. I run the 7 as my daily driver and the pro as my media machine and the speakers and screen on the pro are so good it'll make you wonder how it's almost the same price to buy the 7 and pro as it is to buy the note 10...
A great and honest review of both models. I like the piece of advice at the end "should you buy". I still feel they are expensive even more so considering that in the existing market you can get a 300 USD phone that will do most of the job. I very much like the 7 pro though and wish I had the cash.
You can usually get decent phones for 300 to 400 but for people the brand name is important so most people get apple or Samsung when they don't use half the features.
I have the one plus 7 pro 5G - the lack of wireless changing is not a deal breaker - I had a note 8 and wireless charging was dictated by the charger you used and it no where near the speed and effectiveness of the warp charger. Regarding the IP rating Oneplus implimented IP protection with placing all the seals in situ - they just did not go for certification. The big plus of the 5G variant is the modem - I work in central london. The building is modern and had metal support structs all over and I obtained 237Mb connection on 5G - at home I connect to my home wifi which is Virgin 350Mb and I obtained a speed of 346Mb. Also the use of screen protectors and cases the pro comes with a film protector already on and it has a pretty good case in the box. Personally I purchased the kevlar case for added protection and to improve the look. The one downer is lack of headphones in the box - Ok most people will have BT heaphones lying around but a set of USB C headphones would have been appreciated. Regards all.
@@wilasiatuber1629 It comes with a film screen protector which is reasonably oK - i use the Kevlar case and the film protector - placing in pockets, punches and bags and not a problem yet. I will probably buy a glass one - once the test have been done to see which are the better ones. Hope this helps.
I got the OnePlus 7 Pro on the day of release and i have to say it's the best phone i've ever used the all screen no notch 90hz display alone is worth the money and the lack of ip rating or wireless charging is no downside to me especially considering how fast wrap charing is. Anyone considering it as their next phone i highly doubt they'd be disappointed 👍
Im getting the regular v, going for the 6gb version.. Does anyone know if its a good one too or only the 8gb one is killer? Also how good is the camera in ur opinions?
Thanks for your review. I'm not a fan of portrait mode on any camera. It's never as good as a manually created bokeh using AfterFocus. I'd usually prefer the bigger model but wouldn't want the curved edges. Yes curved edges look beautiful but the interference with use would bother me.
I'm in doubt, between P30 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro. My biggest use is a photo. The fight between Huawei and the USA made the One Plus more interesting, but I do not know if I'm going to be disappointed.

2:05 The difference btw you and us is that we buy our devices... So you know, cases and screen protectors are very useful to us 😉 Sure you understand the populace problems, don't ya...
I would be more than happy to own either of these phones !
Great review! This is making me want to switch from my iPhone 8. What do you think I should do?
Yes.
Definitely worth switching to One plus.
Great reviews, my 3T still perfect, I'm tempted to go for the 7 Pro as I like big phones my work phone is Samsung Note 8 and I like that size
Cheers for video mate... Ohhh I'm still undecided between the the oneplus 7pro and the Samsung S10... Specially since the s10 price went really down and so tempting with all its features against the 7pro.
MA 94
S10 all the way.
Camera is not a comparison
And the hole punch looks gorgeous.
Great job 👍
what is the background called that you're using? does it come stock with the phone?
There is a screenprotector installed out of the box. Did you remove it? If so that's not very smart....
Is it a decent screen protector or should I remove it and get a better one just to be safe?
if you bought the pro directly from OnePlus, it already came with a screen protector installed which is why it has so many scratches
Thank you for this amazing review. I truly appreciate your time.
I had a oneplus 5t and wat a phone it was unbelievable speed on it I now have the Xs max but I wish I had stayed with oneplus now and got the 7 pro
Sell the xs max, it’s at least worth 800 dollars
Great job, my friend.
OnePlus 7 would be the one for me only because it's smaller.
but I do like the Pro, too.
They're going to have a G model too. Wow.
Thanks for all this information, well done.
@@squashh So, so sorry😏 I was on my tablet, silly thing is old like me and missed the 5... was suppose be 5G service.
Have you done a video on the OPPO Reno?
I like the look of OP7, but I really want to find out more about the Reno and its camera, as the 10x zoom variant looks insanely good.
Don't all OnePlus phones come with a screen protector pre-installed?
I've had my Pro for 2 weeks and loving it 😊
What are the best features in your opinion? And what kinda phone did you had before? Keep up the great work ASBYT.
@@merwinpique best features is the screen for sure it's amazing and the dual speakers are lush. I had a OnePlus 5.
@@merwinpique do you have a screen protector on yours? I am looking for a good one
@@joshdavis2836 I (sadly) don't have the phone bro. I have a S10.
I ordered mine a few days ago. I cant wait to out my hands on it.
Best review of OP 7...that i have seen before✌👌
Yes I agree
Sand kills your screen. Glass is made from sand. makes sence right?
Bought my 7 Pro this Sunday and I love it
Buy them both if you want the ideal media machine and daily driver. I run the 7 as my daily driver and the pro as my media machine and the speakers and screen on the pro are so good it'll make you wonder how it's almost the same price to buy the 7 and pro as it is to buy the note 10...
A huge upgrade for me from OP2 to OP7 12GB/256GB works like a charm and you really get alot of phone for the money. :)
How about the screen resistance to scratches? Is it good? Or easily gets scratched? I'm worried, I'm getting it next week.
Tried it and returned it for a OP7.
Hi. Please advise can I change my IPhone X and take one plus 7. I am facing problem with network in iPhone X. What you prefer.
Oneplus 7 non pro is value for money
Its amazing
😘😘😍😍😘😘😘😍😍
Watching on my oneplus 7😉😎😘😘😍💥💥💥💥💥
Are they not available in the U.S yet?
@@jasonpalma16 Dnt know
I got oneplus 7 in 31k which is 443 us dollars 😘
Battery life? I'm gonna switch from s6 edge
Great video. Totally agree with what you say. This is a well balanced and fair unbiased review. Well done...
Your videos look so clean , and are really enjoyable. I joined over a year ago and was convinced to buy myself a OP6, i don't regret it !
what calibration mode are you using?vivid, natural or the advance option.
Im getting the regular v, going for the 6gb version.. Does anyone know if its a good one too or only the 8gb one is killer? Also how good is the camera in ur opinions?
The regular OnePlus 7 ( 8/256 version) in in sale for 427$ on GearBest. I raccomend you to buy it and it's even 8/256
Great video. Keep up the great work mate
The pro model has Gorilla glass 5 on the front, because of the curves, the standard has 6 on front and 5 on back for curves
nah
Thanks for your review. I'm not a fan of portrait mode on any camera. It's never as good as a manually created bokeh using AfterFocus. I'd usually prefer the bigger model but wouldn't want the curved edges.
Yes curved edges look beautiful but the interference with use would bother me.
Is the haptic feedback/vibration notifications considerably worse on the OnePlus 7 compared to the Pro?
I'm in doubt, between P30 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro.
My biggest use is a photo.
The fight between Huawei and the USA made the One Plus more interesting, but I do not know if I'm going to be disappointed.
