    How about my mix?
    tbsp butter
    tbsp coconut cream
    1/4tsp redmonds
    two "squirts" stevia
2 "dashes" each of cinnamon, turmeric and cacao
16oz fresh pressed coffee (I prefer medium roast for the caffeine)
put it all in the blender (I have a cup that just goes right on the blender)
I think this is AMAZING and it keeps me going for hours if eating is just not convenient. I'll do 48-72 hr fasts using this as my fast breaker.
Anyway, another interesting and informative video. Thanks Thomas.

Here's some added information for this video. Coconut milk and coconut cream has a very short shelf life once you open the can and it starts to go sour fairly quickly but the cool thing is as it gets sour it turns into basically coconut yogurt which taste pretty good and actually is becoming very popular in supermarkets. So after a few days if you keep it in the fridge it's going to get sour but it is still edible. I have tested it out.
Since the process of getting sour is caused by various potentially gut friendly bacteria I would assume that the health benefits of coconut milk probably increase as it turns into coconut yogurt.

    • @davidpatrickgreen5319

@@mikeganer6257 yes that is most likely coconut milk with some kind of preservative in it. The majority of Brands add things like sorbate or guar gum Etc but if it's just made of coconuts and water they tend to turn very quickly

After a few days in my fridge, I pour the remaining coconut cream/milk into an ice cube tray and freeze it. To use, I simply melt it over low/med heat and use the preferred amount in my coffee.

I used your tips to create a “Mexican Chocolate” creamer...cacao, cinnamon, and cayenne, together with or without ghee, or coconut cream. It’s delicious. You don’t even need to add it to coffee, if added to coconut milk, either hot or cold, makes a delicious chocolate milk. Can’t wait to try the vanilla ghee and chocolate mint options. Costco also sells the big bag of Lairds basic creamer too... Thanks for the tips!

Chocolate or Mint chocolate Lairds with a quarter tsp of lakota gold, a tsp of oatmilk, and a hit of cinnamon. It whips up into such a fantastic creamy Hot Chocolate/Coffee drink. Sooo damn good.

    Nice info! Thank you Thomas.
I do typically go for black coffee. Though occasionally on a lazy weekend I like to cream and sweeten things up. Good before long runs. It would be interesting to hear more on the quality of the coffee itself. Origins, roasting, grinding of the beans...the various types of brewing techniques...it's a whole world and I am positive there's health implications on the various levels. When you think about the fact it's something so many people imbibe every.single.day. it's got to be something putting some focus/emphasis on is worthwhile to do, right?
    And go!...(haha).

    • @OceanFrontVilla3
      @OceanFrontVilla3 4 ปีที่แล้ว

What I've learned is that coffee beans go rancid after about 5 days so fresh roasting a quantity you use in that time is best. Coffee roasters vary in price and it's not a difficult skill to learn with a bit of practice. The green beans keep for a long time so you can order in bulk. That said, coffee also has negative effects on the body and shouldn't be consumed in large amounts (more than12 oz).

He has a couple guys (one in london) who research for him and he then takes that research and makes videos from them. That's the gist of it. It's not rocket science.

Thomas, would Banana peel tea be an adequate sweetener for coffee? I’m not sure how much sugar or carbs are in the tea itself once it’s been boiled then simmered for a good while (30 min or so). Perhaps you can make a video that would include the nutritional value of banana peel tea, and perhaps if it’s worth including the actual banana or not. And just how much nutrients you can roughly get from the tea and how many actual bananas to use for this purpose.. that would be awesome 😎
