Congrats on your new CR-V!
Nice to see brothers working on a channel together 🎉
I just purchased a new 2023 CRV EXL gas powered. I love it.
My grandpa bought a 2024 CR-V Sport-L except in radiant red. Unfortunately he passed away just after he bought it, so he never really got a chance to bond with it. But when he did, he loved it. Now it's mine, and it's been great!
Sorry to hear about your grandpa god bless your family
I drove my father’s 2002 Hummer H2 for many years after he passed. It’s a wonderful experience. I’d say thank you every day! Gratitude is the best attitude!
Bought the CRV Sport L in this same color for my college age son. It’s beautiful, fun to drive and I feel comfort in its safety.
Think of your red one as your grandfather keeping you safe and moving!
I have been looking for a channel like this, so happy to have found y’all!
Welcome!
Love the new air ball & slam dunk. Keep up the good work 🫤
I'm happy that most off the comments are negative, which means that maybe I can actually find this trim at dealerships.
My wife and I are picking up our new CRV tonight. We bought this exact model in the same color. I have watched countless videos on these cars and close competitors of this vehicle in the last few weeks/months. I must say I feel that your video was one of the best. You guys do a great job!
Thanks, we appreciate that! And congrats on your new CR-V!
It must feel like you bought the Pilot
how much did you get your for if you don't mind me asking? I'm planning to get the same car.
Whats has it been like so far ? rate out of 10?
@@chaddasilva9082 9 out of 10. It's a great car... Extremely comfortable to drive. We've made 2 long family trips in it, already put 4500 miles on it. But some things I can nit pick... It doesn't have the power at higher speeds that our 2018 CRV EXL 1.5 turbo has when on the highway going up a slight hill. We are getting 33.7mpg to 34.0 with Eco mode on. 33.5ish without it on in normal mode. Windshield wipers suck when in moderate to heavy rain, they are too slow...even on highest setting. I think our windshield might also have a slight air leak in it. When going 65mph+ it makes an annoying air muffling sound near the far right side of the windshield.
Great review guys! As a dedicated Honda fan (2022 Accord Sport Hybrid), I love to hear the take on other Hybrid models!
Brainwashed fan....the crv isn't even in the same ballpark compared to the Hyundai tucson...can get fully loaded tucson hybrid, way better warranty and way nicer with way less road noise for same price as car sport gas..
@@trevormoore6161Hyundai tends to cheap out in many areas. Even mechanics don't want to step close to them. Their hybrid power train is very poorly designed. The warranty is pure bs. The whole of the car may seem nice but will you still be saying the same 5 years down the line?
Thank you!
@@trevormoore6161 hmmm even though Hyundai in recent years has improved considerably, it still isnt in the same level as Honda's engineering. There is a reason why Honda and Toyota have such high resale value. I do not think they are terrible cars but I would reverse your claim on it not being in the same ballpark lol This Honda would probably outlive the Tucson. Honda's NA engines are bullet proof and only user negligence will kill the car.
@@trevormoore6161 good luck getting them to honor the warranty for the Tucson if something happens to it 😂. Take it from a longtime Hyndai customer that is now with Honda
Great review. I have a 2021 CR-V ex and just purchased the 2024 CR-V Sport Pro hybrid. You may want to point out that the Hybrid versions does not have a spare tire. The battery takes up some of the space where the spare would be located. They do provide you with an emergency kit that has a fix a flat in it .
they did point out no spare tire
The only nitpick I have with it, and previous gen, is the length of the front overhang.
Just bought this same cry sport L. Really impressed with it. I do not like No Spare tire. Has anyone bought a spare? If so how did you store it?
Good job guys. Is it true that only the Touring CR-V trim has the GPS Navigation system. My 2007 CR-V has this the GPS navigation. Won't even consider if true. People should know this. Thanks
Really enjoyed this video. Would love to see a comparison between this and Subaru Forester. They seem fairly similar with each having different advantages.
Thank you! We will note that for potential new comparisons 👍
I still don't like the lack of a spare tire. Yes the repair kit can help with a basic flat tire, but it does absolutely nothing for you in the case of a blowout or sidewall damage. You are SOL and better have roadside such as AAA. The lack of spare is a major flaw for me.
Don’t you get 3-years of AAA / CAA with the Warranty anyway?
How many flats have you had on the road in the last 5 years?
@@DebtfreeMike I haven’t had a flat since 1988
@@DebtfreeMikeactually several 😩😩. And one blow out. 2015 Honda civic
Agreed.
We bought the 2024 AWD Sport Hybrid. It's pretty much an EX-L package but Hybrid.....Minnesota winters have some AWD drive days for sure. 1st New car ever. Very happy with the quality of the interior. only 20 miles drive so far....
3rd CRV ( 2006 & 2008 previously) We did watch Car Confections for reviews on earlier CRV Hybrids, thinking we could only afford " used".....But they sweet talked us into a new one ...LOL.....
I swore if I ever bought another CRV it would have to have an EX-L trim level to get the premium seating. The LX seating in my last 2...were not the greatest.
My mom had an 2008 EX-L and it seemed as though the seating was a bit wider and more comfortable. So regretted the LX trim on my 2008.
great video, brother❤
Yeah try finding one. Looking for the Hybrid Touring in the LA, San Diego area and they’re all sold before they hit the dealerships. I did find a 23 though and they are identical I hear so got that one.
I always thought I had to go with the top touring trim to get everything I wanted, but this new L trim on the CRV has everything I want! Do you know if the 8 speaker audio system has 180 or 320 watts?
320 watts 👍
Can you put a hitch receiver on this model? For a two bike tray rack.
Just picked ours up Sport-L- California love the MPG
Great video, thank-you
Good job guys, great info with no comedy.
Glad you enjoyed it
Bought one and love it!
I have a 2017. The lane centering works above 43MPH. Are these newer ones the same, or hopefully will work at a lower speed?
I'm not sure of the exact speed but Honda's safety systems have improved a lot since 2017. They're very seamless now
Might as well get the sport touring at that point. I got my sport touring for 44,700 out the door tax titles and fees. So far im averaging 39 mpg. Around 480 miles per tank It’s a great car.
I'm only getting 33.9, idk why :( are you taking longer trips? my trips are mostly 10-20 min
@@amna6024Learn how to drive your hybrid to get the best mileage.
What year? I’m going shopping today. 3 touring models left on the lot
@@amna6024 put it in B mode. Pull the left paddle for full regeneration to charge the battery on downhills. If no one’s behind me I will literally accelerate like a turtle to keep it in ev mode. With the battery full I have been able to get to over 40 mph in just ev mode. I also drive in eco mode so the gas pedal isn’t as sensitive so it’s easier to stay in ev mode.
All I want is a spare tire and I'd buy one soon.
This is a really nice review, thanks. I agree with you on the 360 camera, I’d like to have that. I’m coming from a RAV4. If the emergency handling and breaking on the 2024 top Rav as reviewed by CR was the same as this CRV I’d probably buy that. I do not like the black wheels on this CRV. I wanted the Still Night Pearl but I think when I look at this color with the black tires and covers it reminds me of someone’s old car that lost its wheel covers. The car looks dead from the middle down. It needs the sparkle on the wheels. I guess we are buying it in white. I will miss the zip of my old Rav that’s for sure and it’s quick maneuverability.
I really wish you guys could stay with the trim level you are showing. I really don't like it when you go back and forth but I still love ya'll!
Thanks! Just trying to help everyone figure out what trim is best for them 😀
What's the tank size and range ?
Are the windows rolled down when you’re driving? If not it’s sounds pretty loud
What model can I get heated seats?
Totally agree with an elite trip. I bought a sport touring and I love the car, but wish it had vented seats and a few more features.
The vented seats are making me lean more towards the Accord Touring. If the CR-V had vented seats it wouldn't even be a question.
Agreed! Not to mention blind spot video monitoring & foldable-powered mirrors! 😣
@CarConfections The last generation CR-V had LED rear turn signals. Can you get them on a higher trim levels?
Not on this new generation
Can I infer that you think the CRV sport AWD hybrid L and touring trim have same interior noise. As you likely know one of the selling points of the higher touring trim is that it is quieter as a result of better windshield glass etc. In this review you make reference to the touring being louder in california?
Fantastic review!😸
I will choose cx-50 by Mazda! Thank you for reviewing this one! Great car
Hi Guys, can I ask for a favor? is it possible to make a comparison between 1.5T and 2.0 Hybrid?
They could do that, but in terms of better efficiency and better power as well as higher reliability, the 2.0L hybrid is the clear winner compared to the turbocharged 1.5L engine. Also, we actually don’t know if the oil dilution is completely resolved yet for the 1.5T.
@@joecrash1232 thank you
I like watching videos by Car Confections :)
Does the cargo go flat on the hybrid?
I have the 2023 Hybrid Touring and the GPS does not work~if you put in an address it typically will not take you to the exact location. Have anyone experienced the same issue and is there a fix for the issue???? Sure looking for some help...can connect the phone GPS but I don't want to do that and the GPS is one of the reasons I purchased the Honda Touring...my 2021 had a Garmin GPS that worked perfect but not the 2024. One other issue with the car is it Does Not have a garage door opener feature.
So what happens if you have a flat tire in the middle of nowhere? Having a spare can be a life saver!!
I can't imagine the engineers coming up with such a perfect vehicle but no spare or run flats?
Just buy yourself a spare tire duhh 😂
@@jonmat7144for $300-$500. Then it’s strapped down in the cargo space for you to enjoy every single time you look back there.
No it has a spare tire but it’s hidden under the car down
Then you buy one. You buy the same compact spare and jack as in the gas powered CR-Vs and keep it in the trunk... or do what I did and order a compact spare with a jack, wrench, bag, etc. in a package deal through a company called Modern Spare.
The best way to avoid being stranded is not playing the victim card and just budget for a spare tire.
Thanks for the nice review. Go Hoosiers!
Just ordered my 2024 Sport Touring in Meteorite Gray Metallic! Your videos on this car and other CUVs really helped me decide on this one. It's simple, basically an appliance, but still feels great to drive, and doesn't look as much like an awkward minivan anymore like the previous few CR-V generations. I'm coming from a 2015 Mazda3 i Grand Touring Hatchback and am very excited to get a ton more cargo space with better fuel economy. The Touring is so quiet in the cabin compared to my Mazda and Honda's tech and safety features blow Mazda's out of the water (even in comparison to 2024 Mazdas), in my opinion. The CR-V interior gives a feel of 'classy' minimalism, in a very good way, and will be a great daily driver here in the northeast US, especially once the snow starts. The price difference between the Sport-L and Touring was small enough with enough feature improvements for me to where the upgrade to Touring made sense. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the more expensive 19" tire cost compared to the small ones on my hatch. Thanks again for helping me make my decision!
So glad we could help you decide which model to get! Thanks for watching the channel!
They should have included LED 's for the rear turn signals. Cost cutting measure with Honda.
Love the slam dunk and air ball at the end LOLOLOL
In canada we do get heated rear seats, among other weather related things
Also in the US... but no ventilated seats 😖😤
Thanks so much for your consistent reviews of the many, many SUVs available. It quite helpful to have an apples to apples comparison. We've watched at least 15 of them so far.
My husband and I have our 2003 Honda Element, and after 24 years of reliable service we would like to upgrade RO have the camera safety options. We are elderly and I need a walker, knowing at some point it will be replaced with a wheelchair. We also have a pet stroller to fit in. It seems to be impossible to find available vertical cargo space like provided in the Element, to store these types of items. Having to collapse them and then reassable after removing is quite an effort for me. It's so much easier to lift them in place them fully assembled. The linear width and depth you measure is nice but having the height of the cargo space is so very important when it comes to hauling gear. It seems like many manufacturers are rasing the floor of the cargo section and expecting people to disassemble walkers, strollers, wheel chairs, etc. Are their any that provide a 46" cargo area height that our Hondo Element gives us?
We need something that offers a 6' adult leg room in the back seat and they need to be able to recline back. We need the back doors to fully open nearly 90° to make it easy for elderly to be assisted in and out. Lastly the front seat passenger seems to be neglected. I like having a shelf in front of me on the passenger side to hold my tissues, medical supplies, papers and other items I need to have in reach while riding. It seems they are elimating passager storage. The center console is what the driver needs to use as an arm rest which makes it so inconvenient for me to access.
Glad we can help with your process of picking a new SUV!
I found the Hyundai videos by you. It seems boxier. We went to look at Honda today. Headed to Hyundai next. Keep those videos coming. They are so informative! @@CarConfections
I have a 2017 ex . I saw the new ones have less door storage than mine. I could put a folding umbrella in my front door storage. Miss the spare tire too.
Prices are without destination charges though, so in reality you are looking at about 40k after taxes etc. As a consumer I have an issue justifying spending so much on a CRV. Perhaps, if it provided more value I wouldn't but for a CRV I think it's a big ask from Honda.
Love my CRV, great review
I was wondering what the-L trim level was all about, I believe it’s the equivalent of the EX. Meaning the-L stands for leather, unlike-B which means it comes without the BSI system.
Also, noticed that most of the CR-V’s are built in HMC now (Canada) maybe because it’s easier to get parts into Canada vs the US. Not sure… there have been some changes in Canada with Civic and CR-V lately.
There’s still lots built in East Liberty and Indiana but overall about 50% are built in Canada, although I’m pretty sure the engine plant is in the US but there’s an Engine Plant in Canada too where they build Civic, CR-V and others.
The design is done in Canada now too, which is a big change.
Yes. For one, the Canadian variants get heated rear seats.
Another change for 2024 is they are making the BSI system standard in all platforms now so there's no more with or without B config, only on 2023 models.
You definitely want to get leather. Love it.
@@teams3345 Yeah my last 3 have been leather… especially if you have kids or adults who tend to spill their coffee ☕️
@@SCraig-Handsome I have no kids and do not eat in my car. I just like the look and feel.
Still disappointing to see Honda's obvious cost cutting and watering down by deleting the front fogs (available in other markets), and making the rear signals non-LED.
Agree 100% I will NOT buy a new CRV. I love my '17 LX, but the new models feel CHEAP!!! Sorry, moving on.
Awesome
Did the brothers say the back lift gate is power or not , did I miss something in the video
Seems an odd choice to make all hybrids "Sport" trim. Not a fan of the black wheels.
Not everyone is seeking a "rugged" SUV. Definitely a different flavor here versus the prior CR-V. As popular as it has been, I wonder how well the new version is selling.

I sure wish fabric Was an option on all models... Not everyone's a fan of leather or fake leather. And I wish they didn't do the smaller engine with turbo. Now if Toyota can match the inner comfort/spaciousness/dimensions of the CRv. that will win.
I don’t like leather either. I ended throwing on some fabric seat covers 😂
This comes with a non leather version, it’s one of the more loaded cars without leather you can buy since you get BSI and sunroof and heated seats still
Luckily, the sport trim in CR-V hybrid and Accord hybrid have cloth seats. I’m also not a fan of leather and fake leather too.
Hope there was an option for 7 seats without going to the pilot.

There has to be a car wash mode in 2024 CR-V Hybrids for automated car washes. Had a nightmarish experience as the car went totally crazy, tried to brake, engaged parking brake & what not. Finally the car had to be turned off, was put in accessories mode and Neutral to finish the wash. Still the parking sensors kept on beeping like crazy. Am I missing something? What is the proper way to do this?
Wash your car at a do it yourself location or at home. The drive in car washes dissolve the clear coat on your car fading the paint.
Would neutral not help?
@snoopyer7 This is what Honda wrote me back.
Thank you for that information. When using an automated car wash conveyor, the following precautions are asked to be taken before using the car wash belt.
- Make sure to set the automatic windshield wiper adjustment to OFF (page 197 of the Owners Manual)
-To temporarily disable the automatic parking brake feature, you will need to do the following: (page 565 of the OM)
"If you need to temporarily deactivate the feature while putting your vehicle through a conveyor-type car wash or when having your vehicle towed. You can follow the procedure explained below.
1. Depress the brake pedal and bring the vehicle to a stop.
2. Set the power mode to VEHICLE OFF and then within two seconds push down the electric parking brake switch.
> Activation and deactivation settings for the feature will not be affected.
> Before temporarily deactivating the feature, make sure to first turn off both Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low-Speed Follow and the automatic brake hold system.
> To confirm that the parking brake is applied, check if the parking brake and brake system indicator (red) is on."
We will document your feedback relating to a car wash mode as well, and make our Product Team aware of your interest in an update to add such a feature. Let us know if you have any other inquiries or concerns. ^OB
why are you taking your new car in those things?! They scratch your car all to hell!
Easy fix. Hand wash in the driveway. Doesn't scratch the clear coat and you get a much better spot-free clean car.
Nope. The Sport Hybrid is where it's at. It has everything that is "needed" and no crappy leather seats.
Is it true that the tire pressure sensors don't indicate each tire separately?
They don't because it's an indirect system. It monitors wheel speeds via the ABS wheel speed sensors, and if a tire is continuously spinning a certain rate faster than the other three, it's a sign that it's flat or on its way to becoming flat. Every time you add air to the tires, rotate them, etc., you have to recalibrate the system either with a button on the dashboard (7 inch audio system) or in the 9 inch audio system display. Then you have to drive about 30 miles at 35 MPH or higher to calibrate. Then once you're calibrated it can then monitor wheel speed.
@@scott8919well that sucks... why not just have added tire pressure sensors for each tire separately? Ughh Honda!! 😣😣😤
I love this "pastel" color approach, so extensively done in many brands these days.
I’d rather see a 0-60 & 30-60 time comparison across the brands rather than a sound meter

@ArnelZapataJr Not to promote my channel or anything but in my video I just posted today I explained all the differences between this and the Sport trim!
Honestly I wouldn't. The accord has way nicer features (depending on what trim you have)
The sport L trim also has wireless charger and wireless car play, also the parking sensors
@@HappyHaul Is Sport L worth $3,000 extra?
does it have a spare tyre?
Only on the fully gas versions
Sport touring is worth the extra money from this model. Bose, tires, hands free tailgate, parking sensors, pedestrian stop at low speeds. 1200 more with AWD model. Tires alone is worth it. Go for a touring without the special paint put the 500 into the better trim.
What color is that on thumbnail. Looks like light blue. Someone please tell me technical name of that color. 👍🙏
Urban Gray metallic. It has blue hue to it in direct sunlight but is mostly a flat gray
what is with the turbo only motor option? plus no spare tire. ridiculous.
There is a spare tire on the 1.5 Turbo models, just to clarify
We need to stop allowing automakers to use the term upgrade when they refer to bigger Wheels. My last two cars, when I get the highest trim, they try putting in the bigger wheels and charging me more for them but I consider that a drawback and treated as if someone dinged the car so I demand they subtract money from the price. Let the dealer worry about it
The smaller wheel larger sidewall is going to deliver a softer ride too with more rim protection.
Why did they make the front of the CRV so long with the 2023 remodel 😅 this to me is sizing out of the compact size class and moving up. It’s too big for me.
Me too! So unnecessary to make it bigger.
What color is that?
Urban Gray
Does it come in manual trans.?
No
Thanks. It's so hard to find a good car with a manual trans., these days. I don't want a Ford Bronco. It's ugly.. I'm 70 and have never driven an automatic. I like to drive the car and not be driven by the car. Automatic is not driving and it's not safe but in the US they do it because people are lazy and it's more profitable to the car dealers. What a shame!!! It's like everything else, people need to wake up.
Just bought this model and color. Rides smooth and quiet. Good visibility and safety features. Averaging about 40 MPG so far.
Has the oil dilution problem on the 1.5 turbo been fixed
Shame on Honda for the $39,630 MSRP! But it is a great looking car!
Have to pay for the hybrid tech somehow
They will sell
I am sure they feel bad because you can’t afford it
This vehicle model does not come with home link garage opener ?
It does not. Honda has a partnership with MyQ where you can subscribe and control the garage through an app now
A home link mirror is now an option. My dealer wanted $350, but got them to include it after I started to walk out.
God bless you 👍
Is the all wheel drive any good?
What do you think??😮😮
The sound test is flawed. It should be tested at 80mph as well. Most cars are good at low speeds. At high speed the difference is noticeable.
I don't think you guys said if the Sport L trim is the one to buy! Like the title of the video says. 🤔
I just purchased the 2024 Honda CR-V. My only complaint is the silly sounding little horn, it's awful.
For gas models few people are buying 1.5 litre furbo 2023 in Middle East and in Asia ,in such a hot climate 1.5 litre can not survive for many years , oil temperature goes high, , Honda crv , accord should go back to 2.5 litre auto transmission, naturally aspirated engine, just like Mazda , KIA , Hyndai , I don't really know how good is Honda CVT.
