21:37 In the last movement there is a six four chord that leads to a cadenza. The cadenza for five instruments is a piece of genius by Mozart. It's instrumentally brilliant. This leads to a trill as is custom and then a reprise of the opening section.
@@papagen00 i agree completely. in one of his lectures Glenn Gould commented that Mozart got 'lazy' in some of his later works. this is K 452 and is therefore represents the mature Mozart. the piece contains a level of sophistication characteristic of his later works. the harmonies are deceptively simple. i find the second movement especially pleasing. so Papageno faengen die Voegel wenn Sie wollen aber meinetwegen hat der Herr Professor Recht. Those descending scales, so simple, but radiant when voiced by bassoon and horn @1:15... that low F on the piano @1:18 also gives the passage an incredible weight/richness.
I have listened to a lot of Mozart's divertimeni, wind ensembles and serenades. Am I right in thinking that he often leaves the best movement to the last? This piece, so enjoyable, is for me no exception.
I think he peaked in the Larghetto, just my 2 cents. Well, that's irrelevant. The whole piece is fabulous. He thought it his best work up to that point. 🎵
She should take lessons from the oboist's lack of histrionics - head shaking, shoulder shrugging, head shaking etc. If she wants to be a virtuoso she has to stop those antics. She can partially get away with it on the clarinet, but it would be a total disaster on the oboe with its much more delicate (and responsive) reed.
Lovely performance, although I wish the mic had been set nearer to the oboe who was a little drowned out. Super playing all round, thank you for the treat upload. ❤
@@prabhudhasivanson7110 Yes, the little microphone was between them on both sides, but was turned more facing the clarinets... :) I can hear the oboe pretty well on a system that has better speakers and response... :) This is so lovely to hear !!!!
Does anybody know who made the oboe? It has an exceptionally short top joint and it is made of a different timber. The only one I know with the short top joint is the Marigaux M2 Here is one in the performance of VOCES8: Jesus bleibet meine Freude - JS Bach th-cam.com/video/T5Df7f_BLU8/w-d-xo.html The oboist is one of Australia's greatest, Nick Deutsch, who is professor at Leipzig. Look carefully at the top joint, you can see it close up at various points. (Also LISTEN carefully, it is an absolutely wonderful performance!!!)
A sensitive performance, except the tempi of the outer movements are much too fast. This has the effect of making Mozart’s piano accompaniment figures - the many repeated notes - stand out too prominently and gives the performance a king of Keystone Cops effect. The piece was written to be played during Lent, not in a circus tent. The melodic lines need more air so they can sing properly. This performance was a bit breathless. The slow movement lacked the aspirational, Masonic tone associated with so many of the gestures. The ensemble is musical but lacks taste.
very nice performance as usual with this chamber group. however, i find the church interior much too dark and imposing, even a little eerie, maybe it's the dark wood and over-complicated decor. I don't know much nor care about religion, but I think the church architect went completely overboard on this one.
If you don't care for religion, why comment? Since Satan is in your heart. You'll find the decor of your new home, after your death, much to your liking.
5 most Excellent Musicians together playing Mozart !!!! Yeah, this is what Heaven sounds like !!! :)
Mozart - the supreme master in several genres of music including that of woodwind music.
Yes he was !!!! :)
This is a masterpiece

Excellent musicianship and a beautiful blend on this performance. And they appear to be having a great time:)

Concordo plenamente a música de Mozart e sublime é divina para nossos corações e almas
what a performance from this woman on the right: always shaking the head, throwing the eyes, bending the body. how very musical and exitering...
egotistic

5人の名手達の競演!と言うところ.バランスのよい名演奏ですね、青空にしい込まれるような透明感。感動しました。

I agree - the performance was excellent, but the mike setting wasn't ideal.

I've never seen an oboe with three joints before. Does anyone know the maker of Godik's instrument?

They all have 3 joints, but usually the top joint is about twice as long.
