I actually still own a Mitsi 2.0 litre MIVEC & have done since 1995! Not fast by today's standards but looks & sounds amazing! In all those years it still has the same cam belt & so I don't drive it hard & really do need to change it ASAP. It is my second car so really only gets a short run once a week as my VW Golf TDI is so much more practical & uses a lot less fuel.
You can modify these to be faster than new hot hatches... Lower the fuel tank, nylon/titanium bolts around the edges of the car, one cooling fan, no a/c, no p/s. They're the same as the integra/civic. New cars are just torquey with big bodies and big wheels...
