Yeah, I'll probably see at least one a month. Theres plenty other cars that we don't see anymore that we have actually forgotten about, I would name one but I can't.
The wisdom of assigning the car THAT name aside what Mitsu really needs is competitive crossovers and sedans. They would never sell enough EVOs VR4s GSXs etc to keep the doors open. Mitsu got into the mess they are in now by building a world beating perfornamce car whos base model was a subprime special. Its a rare Mitsubishi enthusiast that would daily a base lancer over the competition.
I never knew what this car was back in '95. I knew it was a Mitsubishi belonging to some guy in the cul-de-sac. Honestly never figured out that they never sold these here (US, Cali) till a few years ago.
I remember these back in the day looked fast but were slow. For saying that they are supposedly bullet proof not many left on the road. Should do a saxo vtr or vts before they disappear.
There aren't many left because 1: There weren't that many to start with as Mitsubishi didn't start importing them until it was too late 2: They are 23 years old 3: Many that have been lost were not due to breaking down but due to rust where they were not under sealed as they were not designed for use on the UK roads. Also there are a lot more still on the road than the official figures state

Lol no it doesnt mate, it sounds like an undersized V6
I’ve a video of my old one on here and it does have an f1 sound to it, purely because of how high it redlines. Was a great car til I went to change the brakes and the Jack went through the bottom of the car.
Tosh. Anyone who's heard old f1 cars will find an fto lacking about 1,000,000 dB
Automotive Misfits is one of your best series ever
Stop claiming that we have forgotten about specific cars, it gets lame.... i have not forgotten about this car
Tiresome video title
Yeah, I'll probably see at least one a month. Theres plenty other cars that we don't see anymore that we have actually forgotten about, I would name one but I can't.
Idk why but i really like the tail lights on this car
Jackie Chan: Thunderbolt 1995. Legend!
I never forget this car, because this is one of my childhood dream car
The only mitsubishi you really want is Eclipse SUV 👌 (joke)
BOXYSKY in your dreams
That thing should be killed with fire. Ok, I'm joking of course......or maybe I'm not.
Ghost Assassin I completly agree with you
SDD525 i’d rather go with the second option 😂
The wisdom of assigning the car THAT name aside what Mitsu really needs is competitive crossovers and sedans. They would never sell enough EVOs VR4s GSXs etc to keep the doors open. Mitsu got into the mess they are in now by building a world beating perfornamce car whos base model was a subprime special.
Its a rare Mitsubishi enthusiast that would daily a base lancer over the competition.
You need to drive a manual. Gorgeous. My friend who bought mine (a 2.0V6 non mivec) ran a 15.1 at pod with just a full engine back exhaust.
The FTO
I never knew what this car was back in '95. I knew it was a Mitsubishi belonging to some guy in the cul-de-sac. Honestly never figured out that they never sold these here (US, Cali) till a few years ago.
Finally some Mitsubishi
I always remember the black racing version on Gran Turismo, loved it!!!
the car owner has the exact same name as me
Hi
Adam Herbert hello haha
Thank you, your NSA.
I have a FTO GP Version R , the top of the range ! 2.0 mivec 200hp manual 😈
Oh, I never forgot about it.
I've a 1999 FTO Version-R sitting in my driveway owned about 7 FTOs over the years tracked this one down after years of hunting 😬🙏 had GTOs aswell
Ide love to have a modified fto I kinda like how it looks.
Wish they had these in the US market - looks great!
I remember these back in the day looked fast but were slow.
For saying that they are supposedly bullet proof not many left on the road.
Should do a saxo vtr or vts before they disappear.
There aren't many left because
1: There weren't that many to start with as Mitsubishi didn't start importing them until it was too late
2: They are 23 years old
3: Many that have been lost were not due to breaking down but due to rust where they were not under sealed as they were not designed for use on the UK roads.
Also there are a lot more still on the road than the official figures state
5 the young driver who bought the car could not afford insurance.
Sounds really good, that exhaust note
"You can't really drive it when it's raining. because there's not really a lot of 'wind deflection' and the rain seems to pour straight into your face regardless where you're driving" - What does this mean?!?!?
it means it has no glass in the front window so you get a wet face mate
@@TheDeceptikron Ha ha! :D
my mum had one of these as her first car (in red) used to love driving about in it as a kid :D
I had one and fucking loved it with the tiptronic box 😄
I crashed it eventually 😄😄😂😂
No shame man! I own an MX5 with a 6-speed tiptronic and it's amazing, like a video game in real life. Those of us who grew up with clutches in cities don't see it as a novelty, just an annoying inconvenience!
You need to try the MIVEC manual, it definitely doesn't feel show when it comes on cam! 8,250rpm limiter!
I've got one at the moment though it's a work in progress...
Jim Harris My old had 8.5k limit if I recall correctly? 🤔
You're probably right, 8,250 might just be the red line. Either way it's a lot!
Remember it because of Juiced...oh what a great game
Juiced and gt4
I picked up Juiced for my lad, in a Salvos shop for 3 bucks!
I never forgot about this motor
Suggestion for another Automotive Misfit: Fiat Seicento Sporting! (I may be slightly biased, but DEFINITELY worth a shot!)
Miller Corner might better do the review of a ciquecento instead. Same but lighter
Does anyone remember the Schumacher edition?
Ooh I had one of these. Same colour, same year, although mine was a GPX. Loved it but it went and was replaced by an Evo 5.
I love FTO's, always been intrigued with it, don't know why. I guess it may have something to do with there being 3 of them in my neighbourhood :D
