Great video and crossing! The newgates there are interesting, it appears the foundations of the gate mechs were raised some as well to make the arms rest higher-up when lowered? I'm guessing the reason why gate lights weren't installed on the new arms would be due to there not being any wiring for them running to the gate mechs, nor any relays to control the operation of them either. Also, I see one of the pedestrian signals at the signalized crosswalk next to that crossing has had the masking wear away on at least the "Don't Walk" indication.
Thank you! They will have been made higher up to make it more difficult to climb over them. True point about there not being the facility for boom lights, though still intriguing it wasn't retrofitted during the renewal.
That was the first time I'd even seen or known of a c2c pride livery tbh. Glad to have seen that freight as it showed as Cancelled that morning due to a locomotive fault, but then ran as (likely) another was sourced.
Oh god. Great video! But i understand why it needed doing. However i dont like how the extra skirt doesnt fold in on either barriers and also one of the barriers are backwards. Also one of them raises really slowly. And also the skirts themselves look quite wonky. No barrier lights either what a donut on lowering 5
I briefly touched upon it in the description, but it'll be because the footbridge is high, not very wide, not particularly pleasant to use, and very frequently congested that a lot would choose to wait.
It is. I can only presume they were keeping them until it was meant to close, but finally gave into a renewal as it's not looking likely to go for a good while
Finally this crossing has new barriers! Great video as always! 👍
Fab Videos! 👍🏻👍🏻 They were definitely needed.

My local station! Nice to catch 357318 the pride liveried unit and a freightliner shed on 4L46. Good video mate

Well, we all saw this coming. The old ones were tatty as hell, anyway. Nice to see they've got extra skirt pieces on the ends.
Like how it says use bridge when barriers are down yet people prefer to wait

@@SouthEastLevelCrossings Ah I see

New LEDs too
They've been there for over a year
Nice video!
rip GWE barriers
edit: what’s with the double bars on the skirts
The barriers are quite high up so it prevents people crawling underneath
thanks for telling me ;)
@@Class82trainMan no problem
Noooooo, but interesting how the skirts are extended
I might go to this crossing, even better if there were wigwags instead of peds. Great video though!
Cool
When did this crossing get LEDs?
The LED's date back to a couple of years ago now. I believe they were installed in 2022.
Why raise the barriers on a platform only to get a skirt extension, that doesnt fold 😂
