    Most players make the mistake of NOT thinking & adapting while playing the game. Even when they know what they're losing to, they fail to take the next step and carefully think out a plan to defeat their opponents. In this video i demonstrate how to do that step by step & talk about some Do's & Dont's when playing TEKKEN. Enjoy!

    Nuggets of wisdom I've heard Anakin say that have helped me:
    - Defense: Actually knowing what they are doing. Having the Answer. Being able to execute on that answer.
    - It's not a pattern until you've seen it at least twice. Don't overthink it if they do or counter something just once.
    - Most people will look at how to deal with an interaction and stop there. Next level is to think how you got into that situation in the first place.
    - Act like you've done it a thousand times. Slow to the mission, you're gonna fail it.
    - Laws finisher always works. (That's just a reminder to Low parry these gd Laws)

      I needed to hear that second part. People been breaking my grabs or parrying a low and sometimes I immediately think they're just that good by the movement and combos they use, then find out later that they will not break again the entire FT3 and the first one was just a fluke. I already wasted a whole match adapting my playstyle to something they aren't even doing.

      It’s common strategy to keep testing the opponents even at the highest level in tournaments. So at the lower/middle ranks it might even be in your favor to ALWAYS take that doubtful approach when playing. There’s just no way your opponents are that good. Make them prove themselves.

    I feel like pros ability for pattern recognition is what separates them from otherwise good advanced players.

    • @etrigan966
      @etrigan966 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s mainly down to knowing the majority of moves and noticing a pattern from it. I’d assume Anakin would agree in him finding it easier because he knows the possible moves of a char (neutral)

    These educational videos have been amazing! They are giving me so many new things to think about. I really hope I am lucky enough to catch big boss on stream for a replay review.
    I think my case is also going to be interesting overall, cause I feel like some of my fundamentals are really really high level, for a red rank Steve. While others are pretty despicable at times/most of the time. And I've been struggling to get the whole package going, could really use a personal pointer like this to take my game to the next level!

    • @BabyBoyJr.
      @BabyBoyJr. 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sharkaholic2171 infinite matches made 7 easier to rank up most specially if you found an opponent that's no match for you and keeps rematching then you leave when there's no more big points to get from him. The downside in 7 is when you get demoted. You have to earn like half of the points to rank up again. In 8, its easier to get back to your previous rank.

    The first 30s of this, I see a lot of players around my ranks (Mighty Ruler -+2) who will let me tee off for a round or two just to see what I'm throwing at them, they will literally press nothing until I take em off their feet(sometimes not even then) and then try to come back from a 2 round or even a whole match deficit. Sometimes they actually pull it off.

    Hello! I have a question: players on keyboards can bind movement both on wasd and 4 extra buttons for LS. is it fair? Is it allowed in tournaments?

    • @xenophontis8178
      @xenophontis8178 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      As far as I know it's always written in the tournament rules. And if I remember correctly, the Tekken World Tour thing allows only binds on buttons the game allows you by itself, so both kicks/punches, grabs, heat etc, but f.e. multiple directional inputs are forbidden.

    • @Azghalore

    • @nickt194
      @nickt194 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Azghalore First off you can't really use keyboards in tournaments since they aren't compatible even with converters on the ps5. So having the ability to press multiple directions at the same time is possible with leverless controlles like a hitbox, snack box micro, etc. where theres a button for each direction instead of a joystick. These are legal, the twt doesn't have any set rules on being able to press multiple directions, but note that these controllers will default a direction when two or more are pressed at once. Usually forward and back at the same time = nuetral and down and up = up but these can be changed. In Tekken it only really allows you to sidestep into the foreground out of crouch which you can't normally do. Aside from that it doesn't really matter so they don't care.
