    It's easy to fall into the habit of 'auto-piloting' while playing TEKKEN - It pretty much means that you're playing without thinking and are on cruise control mentally. But in order to get better at the game and figure out how to defeat your opponents, sometimes you need to slow things down and observe what's actually going on during a match. Only then will you be able to strategize and plan out what you need to do in order to WIN. In this video I'm breaking down what I'm doing during a match and how I figure out my opponents. Enjoy!

    So I do have a question. How do I keep myself from flow charting and auto piloting? I'm winning matches but I don’t want to become predictable in the more high-end matches. I want to break the habit before it becomes one. Side note I’m new to Tekken. 4:46

    • @Crazy8-uh4on

      You eventually get to a rank where your chart simply won’t work anymore. Then you’ll HAVE to find different routes if you really want to progress . A flowcharts not even bad if it’s working honestly so keep winning till ya don’t

    • @EmptyTenementSpirit
      @EmptyTenementSpirit 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      First off, I wanna be honest and say a flowchart isn't inherently bad, it's what the flowchart is and whether or not you can adapt when the flowchart isn't working. Nobody goes into a game with absolutely zero plan laid out for how they'll approach the game, in fact, even something as simple as backdashing on round start to watch opponent behaviour is in itself a flowchart, and you can be punished for it just as hard as if somebody figures out the typical flowchart if somebody does something you aren't able to react to, or something that completely blindsides you.
      What is important is adaptation, figuring out your opponents own particulars, and then capitalizing on what you learn from that, and eventually you can start coalescing everything you've tried into options that make you much harder to predict generally. When you do start getting bad habits, for whatever reason that might be, try and iron it out and honestly get yourself punished for it, lol, no better way to learn than to get clapped, then you can figure out for yourself what would work better, lab it out in replays, etc.

    i think downloading the opponent doesn't exist in tekken 8 since you only play 2 matches... so instead of trying to "download" the opponent you should focus on not making mistakes, most of the time when you lose in this game it's not as much about what the opponent did it's more about what you did wrong

    can someone please explain to me when you get hit by paul's D4 from D+4,2,1+2 that when you sometimes eat the low it doesnt connect the other 2 mid moves. I tested in practice mode already that sometimes it doesnt connect the two mids but it's not consistent. I'm trying to figure out how to counter that move without actively blocking the first low. If somebody has any help i would appreciate it

    • @lookomsky7981
      @lookomsky7981 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends on your distance. You need to be close for the first hit to trip the opponent. A counter hit also does it I believe. So basically the counterplay to it is not getting too close to Paul
