    It all started with this amazing white straw hat I saw on Camille, in Emily In Paris. I absolutely loved it but I wanted to smarten up the design by making the chain DETACHABLE!!
    This allows you wo transform any hat, without limiting the wearability of it.
    I also thought it would be really fun to add some sparkle and texture to a lightweight beaning with some sew on crystals.
    I will teach you how to lay them out and create your design, and then sew them in a way that they wont move around on you!
    If you have any questions, dont hesitate to comment them. Enjoy xoxo

    You know what? You are so inspirational. This just bought to my attention that I could make a chain necklace for holding my eyewear (readers, sunglasses). I did not think the adding the chain to the sun hat would make a difference but it does and it also give a way to have the hat just hang on your back if you take it off. GREAT! Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

      Because you changed your video release date, the algorithm picks up that no videos are posted on Friday, therefore you are not posting and it doesn't notify us that you are posting anything on Sunday. If you would have moved it sooner, rather than later (i.e. Wednesday) it would have picked it up. I too have to check your channel on Sunday because I know you are posting on this day, but don't receive a notification, even though I have All Notifications turned on. It's not even showing up on my youtube "Home" feed. I suggest moving back to Friday, as it will take about 6 months until it picks up your new trend of posting.

    • @TheDIYDesigner

      yea it could be however this was going on for about a year. The move to a new day was done in response to when more of my subscribers are on the platform and only happened a few months ago. So I really dont know. It's weird

    OMG! Yes! I need that hat holder thingy. I live in Florida and almost always have a hat with me or on me and it's always an issue of how to carry or tote around a larger hat. A lot of places/venues don't allow big tote bags so if all I have is a crossbody, a hat is so awkward to carry.

    I think that you could DIY it with their hex clip (or a carabiner, etc that could be wrapped in ribbon) and a magnetic money clip that you could embellish. Though you might need to glue on stronger magnets to it for larger/heavier hats.

    You could get some off white elastic instead of the cord and slip it through the chain just the same way and on the inner side sew the two ends together like you would elastic in a waistband. And on things that aren’t loopable you could just E-6000 the elastic to the ends of your decorative item.

    I love the forehead chain on the hat! The longer one that goes down to the chest...not so much. I'm not cool enough for that. :-) BTW, I would've attached the lobster claw to the removable chain itself, and simple O-rings to the inside of the hat---flatter against the head, and more versatile, as I could use the chain in other applications (keychain, wristlet strap, handbag embellishment, necklace, attached to the loops on my jeans, etc.) I love your creativity! {Edited to add: small ribbon loops, attached to the hat's sweat band, would work too!}

    For whatever reason I watch Crafting Videos when I am stressed.. and I am NOT a crafter lol. Orly is bubbly and uplifting with hugh energy. I watch them to channel my mood in a positive way . Check out Royalty Soap for happy Katie and her wholesome content of swirling soap batter creations. Even though I dont "craft " I did make Orly tie dyed flannel shirts using fabric dyes ( love the rainbow one) and I spent over $100 making one batch of Katies soap :) :) I had FUN and I am still enjoying my flannel shirt and soap :)
