I told my brother that The Others have not experienced the BLACK experience in America. They think we just have simply been complaining... From what I understand, the "American Indian" were 222 people who were NOT polled on tribal lands. That means that anyone could have claimed an Indigenous identity. In any case, the numbers are tiny.
I remember telling a little black girl that she still can be a powerful, smart girl and accomplish her dreams when she grows up. Kamala losing is not a reflection on the amazing accomplishments that black women have had.
What we learned is it's obviously still a white man's 🌎 in the US. They wanted to knock us down, especially black women!! No woman black or white can be president right now it shows after Hillary's lost to Trump & now Kamala's lost to the same FLAWED unqualified man. VP is where the political ceiling ends for women right now. Women have to get on the same page or it will forever be like this in US. Those groups that voted for Trump did not go through the pain of centuries and then years of struggle . When we achieved voting rights they did. Everything we fought for they benefited from.
So true! As a latina I'm so disappointed about the support the Latinos gave to that despicable criminal. I feel insulted. The election results were an insult to all America's achievements, and to all decent human beings on earth. I will never forgive those who elected that traitor. I'll coexist if I have to. But never forgive.
We worked super hard in Wisconsin and were the only swing state with a majority of white woman doing the right thing. I'm more embarrassed by black women putting up that kind of money for Kamala rather than raising that kind of money to invest in their own community. The sheeplike mindset needs to stop already. Kamala wasn't going to do a damn thing for the black community. Neither candidate will. Black people need to start investing in themselves and stop looking for a damn hero to save them.
The whole black community is proud of y'all. The most ratchet, the most evicted while being the most enrolled, the most divorced while at the same time the least married. Sad part was I was so hopeful and excited to get a woman President and to be so disappointed the next day. Not gonna lie, everyone who voted for Trump, I hope you get what you deserve.
Voting for a skin color regardless of qualified is stupid. I would not vote for sex mutilations for chilren, taxpayers money to sex chanages for prisoners, and if I were to say Jesus is Lord and the response is 'you are at the wrong rally' ////// I wont vote for that. Kamala could not even answer basic questions.
yes the tRump voters will sink the ship with us all on it; I hope the black people and women esp can quietly build a raft to somehow metaphorically escape as they deserve- they told us and did everything they could heroicly
Your comments about white women reminds me of a saying I learned from a friend of mine. "Even though the forest was shrinking, the trees kept supporting the axe. For the axe had a handle of wood, and convinced the trees it was like them."
I'm never going to be unkind right off the bat... But it's really not fair to expect black women to rescue everyone else when so many people just hate us.
It’s mathematically impossible for them to do it alone. We white women have to spend the next four years getting more of our people to see what they have done.
You all stepped right over Kamala the first time and voted for the old white Joe Biden. LOL Kamala didn't even make the primary, because you guy didn't support her then. The hypocrisy is deep here.
@sabrinaestrada3590 Except the Democrat party and your children, who is expecting black women to rescue them? That said, as the Democrats promote the welfare and family court system black women use, Democrats have a right to expect your support. Moreover, as white women sold black women feminism, why shouldn't they expect black women to remain stupid.

Thank you for also specifically mentioning Native voters along with black voters. Yes indeed, nobody has had to fight white supremacy like black and native Americans always have. The majority of natives also voted for Harris, but Native Americans are just lumped into the "other" category in the polls. Native Americans deserve their own category. They are probably the biggest reason why "other" had almost 50% for Harris. That 50% was probably mostly Native votes. I am not native, but I do live on the Navajo reservation in a rental home. I am so proud of the native communities for all their political participation. Not only are they organizing to vote, a lot more natives are running for local office and winning these days. I am a huge ally for natives taking back ownership of America!! Despite the colonizers attempt at genocide, Native Americans still exist, and they are stronger than the white supremacists want anyone to know! I am also so proud of black Americans for the same reasons. This is just another set back, not the end.
Thank you! My brother in-law (also white) said this same thing to me today…hearing it twice has convinced me that I need to rest. I’ll be back in 4 years…ya’ll better be ready, and get the rest of your women in game. We’re going to snatch this country back, but we can’t do it alone!

@koam135 🤦🏻 Project 2025 - educate yourself! 😠And now (after the election) the republicans confirmed that it is indeed their agenda. Even I, a white 50 year old woman in Europe were able to do a research on that before the election! And that's why I told my fourth graders in my class on Wednesday - that sadly, the American people elected a president who has less competence, both in his language and in logical thinking, than they have. And this is simply a fact. The Kids in my class have greater eloquence than Trump. They have already learned that they can make their points clear without becoming verbally abusive. Unfortunately, the people who voted for Trump have not only failed the rest of America, but the rest of the sane world as well. At least as a German I no longer have to listen to US Americans asking me how on earth 1933 could have happened in my country. 😢
Excellent commentary. 💯💯💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. 40 years ago, an older Black male co-worker stated that “there is a difference in being “brought” to America and “coming” to America.” The 2024 election is NOT our lesson to learn!!!

I am seeing black people in this event two ways: 1) Those of us who are traveling the arc of personal growth, our lesson in this is to release the idea of America. We are tasked with developing our vision now under diamond pressure. 2) Those among us still asking for permission to be--those playing double dutch with self hate--they are in the throes of what manipulation means. I will say that the release lesson is enormously freeing, especially when divinity has stripped away the useless ways we are tasked to be empathic. Now that all that pressure to carry the energy of revolution is off of our shoulders, we are finally free to make a revolution of our own.
Wow this was beautifully written, I want these words on a poster somewhere in my home. This is so beautiful and so true. At first I was utterly devastated, but you're right in the past few days I feel more free than ever. This gave me the push I need to pursue some more education that will allow me to work abroad. I'm not saying leaving is the solution for all...but it is for me. In my late 20s. I've always wanted to leave this country, but it's a big and expensive step. I was playing by the rules, barely able to save or do anything at my low end job while fees rise. Why should I continue this rat race? I'm sitting here fighting to make ends meet and fighting for a country that doesn't want me. Generations of black women fighting for acceptance over and over. I will always be grateful. bc their efforts led to the freedoms we have. There are people fighting now to help future generations. But to me, the best way to "fight" is to live my life by example, in my peace and prosperity, and show my people they can do whatever and go wherever they set their minds to, and bring value everywhere they go. But I am done fighting for this country and carrying its weight on my shoulders. BW have done more than enough to be the backbone, and a lot of it ends with my generation. I was so tuned into politics this election. I volunteered and stood for hours at those rallies. This election opened my eyes. I see the soul of America now, and it's not compatible with my own. It does not value me. *I have been fighting for a country that needs an amendment, a WRITTEN PERMISSION, to consider me human with basic rights.* That others are simply born with the assumption of having. It's backwards. It's not my fight anymore. I am done and I am free. It's beautiful in a way, it took this for us to become our best selves - the age of Aquarius and truths that spiritual people speak of. And like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Black women are being reborn.

It was over 50% of white women tho. We need to educate our own, figure out why these women are voting against their own interests and help them out by BEING in community with them. They won't change if they feel hated and alone. That doesn't mean liking them or condoning their actions, but it does mean helping them grow out of situations that keep them oppressed in their personal lives and voting for maniacs. My guess is abusive husbands did a lot of heavy shit this election. We have to help these women out of there.

As a white female who is devastated about the election results, I just have to say that I agree with you…lessons need to be learned and it won’t be pretty. Some people’s epigenetics need an upgrade! Very good point of view. I have many friends who are black women, and I have learned so much from their experiences and wisdom because there is a perspective there that reveals strength from struggle. @@honeydew757 I'm with you. I don't get it. My family is so in love with trump that they were acting like I hated the guy so much that I was making stuff up. When I told them women and children were put in camps, my dad was like "That could never happen, that's impossible." They have bought into the koolaid that everyone coming over here are rapists and murderers. They think we are all safe if we were born here or became citizens. When I told him a mexican american who was a veteran was deported the last time trump was in office, they didn't believe that. This is the BS I have to put up with.
I spent most of this pre-election period talking with my sisters and brothers and also those from Mexico and Dominican Republic. Many of the latter group either poo poo’d my efforts or said they’re not into politics. Puerto Ricans are citizens and have always been an integral part of NYC communities. The Dominicans, on the other hand, think their sh*t don’t stink but they may be back on their own playas if this stuff here goes bad. Mexicans, good folks, hard workers, but…sigh…use some birth control. Damn.

As a black woman I do not think what happened in the election will harm us. Black women are strong because we know God is our protector and we know how to survive!! Black women have been to hell and back, so we know and have experienced things others have not!!. Maybe it is their time to experience what we went thru. Hey ladies we are stronger because of what we went through. Now lets be better together! Let those other communities worry about their own people. Ladies , let us respect, care, pray, uphold, encourage and love one another!!!! it is their lesson to learn now, as the writer said so eloquently!! I believe as black women we have passed that test and now it is time for us to move on to bigger and better things: businessess, promotions, wealth, good health and strong families!! It is our time to move forward and move onto our next. I speak prosperiry, peace , joy, healing and wholeness into future❤❤❤❤❤❤
I am a white man who drove 22 hours to Alabama to vote for Kamala, and I am so thankful for you educating me on your perspectives and feelings on such a monumental election, and depressing result. May the Force be with you, always.
Everything this queen just said about my people is absolutely true. Now we are going to learn the hard way. Glad she brought up the epigenetics as well. Our genes are about to get encoded with a harsh lesson black people know too well.
So well said, and your words made me reflect as I continue to process what happened in this election. I am a middle- aged black female of Caribbean descent who voted for VP Harris. I didn't think it was possible for a black woman to become president in my lifetime, but her campaign gave me hope that it was possible. The defeat was so crushing because for a moment in time I thought Americans could come together for our common good. Inevitably, white supremacy showed me otherwise and reminded me that it is built into the very DNA of this country. The system is operating exactly how it was designed and intended to. Black folk have that brilliant balance of keeping hope alive while also being realistic because like you said we know from experience. Maybe other groups need to experience some things before America can move towards being a more just society. Our ancestors knew that there was a better future if not for them but for their descendants. We are the descendants of that dream to be free from bondage, and I'm going to honor their legacy. After that rest and reprieve, continue to engage politically and be even more vigilant and active in issues that affect the black community, including your local elections and other community affairs.
Let's strive to support only black businesses and communities. We can no longer fight for other communities, we gave them civil rights t=let them get the rest on their own.
Well put! I was physically ill after Trump won the first time but my body didn’t react at all to the results of this one. I really think it’s because I expect to be marginally impacted. I was mostly walking around thinking about these marginalized groups that elected him. I’m just gonna sit back with my popcorn and WATCH what happens to them. AIN’T MY PROBLEM!
I’m elderly and disabled. Also queer, white and impoverished. Dependent on government programs that face being cut. I am female as well, I knew since I was a kid that we had to fight for every scrap of equality. There is no big lesson to me, and it has to do with a lot more than just being white and “clueless”. I’m a cynic, and have almost always anticipated the dropping of the second shoe. As I grew older, I stopped hoping for progress in this country. My only take is how stupid people could be to vote against their own interests and rights. I saw it many times, but this time they voted for a straight up dictator. I have no idea why people nowadays would do that to themselves, but I can barely hope for an awakening
My sister: I needed your message today. After being in such despair, I will rise up today with a renewed spirit, and move forward knowing I did my part. What a perspective: this is not our lesson to learn. Thank you!❤❤
White woman here. I’m NOT ready for what’s coming down. I voted straight blue top to bottom because I did not want to vote AGAINST MY OWN INTERESTS. Why so many people did vote against their interests, I do not and will never understand. I’m hunkering down. I live in the reddest state in the country, the state that hates women the most. I’m going to figure out how I can do more to help women. I salute you, Black Women. 💙💙💙
Consider this response to you as a message from God, my beloved: hunker down and rest yo’self, like many of us Black folk gonna do. But once you regain yo’ strength, consider yourself Pardon from what’s to come and take on a new walk like you mean it. No need to prove yourself to nobody else. We’ll see you for who you are, straight up. And worry not.
I'm sorry but your statement is why black women are fed up with white women. For you to say that you don't know why they voted for a criminal and not the prosecutor is disingenuous. CAN YOU EVEN ADMIT TO YOURSELF THAT HE WON BECAUSE OF PURE RACISM!

I'm more embarrassed by black women putting up that kind of money for Kamala rather than raising that kind of money to invest in their own community. The sheeplike mindset needs to stop already. As a middle-aged, liberal white man, I'd like to personally thank the Black Women of the US. You ALWAYS turn out to vote and you always do what is needed, when it is needed the most. Many Americans could learn a great deal from your tenacity and fortitude. Thank You, from the bottom of my heart.
Facts!!! They about to learn!
Excellent point, thank you young woman.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 The woman was right, this is not our lesson, I’m a 75 year old black woman who fought in the 60’s, we tried to tell them, now we have to suffer with them and I’m frustrated as hell. But we are survivors of this racist country, and still made progress. We have a core strength from our ancestors and experience that has brought us this far and will continue to move us forward.🙏🏾✝️🙌🏾
I took was very active in the Civil Rights movement in the 60s and I have really been in pain, feeling we had failed to impart certain understandings in our people. Tuesday November 5th was a sign that maybe we and the ancestors and freedom fighters of the past had made a dent. Thank you sisters for showing the world who we are and what our priorities are. Others have other agendas and yes we will all suffer.
So you’re system that you saved us from lead to fascism. This is stupidity
You all stepped right over Kamala the first time and voted for the old white Joe Biden. LOL Kamala didn't even make the primary, because you guy didn't support her then. The hypocrisy is deep here.
We as black women should be proud of what we did.
What did y’all do besides almost DESTROY this country?!🤡😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🗑️

I won't feel guilty about voting for Kamala and Tim!!!!
Something nefarious, happened to that vote. The numbers don't match. I believe the fix is in!
@@ellen-t1p yes I think that is the solace we can find we stood up. We stood down and we rocked for Kamala, and for that I think I can find solace, and our ancestors would be proud. This is coming from a black man in America. What a wonderful message. Thank you for sharing it with us!
So, do you believe a Black woman is the back -bone?

That’s what I’m talking about!!!

I am seeing black people in this event two ways:
1) Those of us who are traveling the arc of personal growth, our lesson in this is to release the idea of America.
Amen!!!
Thank you!!!
@@krazyxki Same! I'm hoping to make the jump abroad within 2 years. Where do you want to land?
@@mwatson4970 oh congrats! Where do you plan to go? I'm actually not sure, in terms of living long term I think Ireland has not only good human rights but a lot more accepting than some European countries. theres some anti-immigration sentiment there and everywhere right now in Europe (mostly targeted at asylum seeking africans though), but still better than somewhere like racist France and nothing we aint already used to here chile 😂 We get treated like immigrants here lol. But as a "western" and assimilated POC, you will have a better time in Europe than POC that are seeking asylum. I was looking at Finland as well. But the other Nordic / Scandinavian countries with high quality of life are getting a bit too anti-immigration for me. Portugal and Spain are apparently nice too, especially Spain if you want diversity. Im trying to get my mom to move to one of those countries and leave here, she wants to retire somewhere warm with beaches. Those are the best 2 options for that.

Intelligent young woman, I applaud you. Well said.
I'm Jewish and I have tried to do what I could for the Black community though I know it was never enough but I saw many of you come out in support of my community and I'll never forget that. I am glad we came out strongly for Harris and I wish it was enough. Thank you for everything you do
You think Harris was for the black people? LOL hahahahaha
Well spoken. You covered it all. Thank you. Sometimes you have to go through it to get through it. My Grandmother explained, “you gonna learn.” They don’t know what they don’t know.
I guess I should retire ( it's time anyway) , take my 401k before it loses value and live on it until I can't.
Definitely take action now to protect your finances. The orange turd will tank the economy.
Put your 401K out of the stock market into a secure fund. You may not earn more, but you won’t lose what you have, and future contributions are protected, too.
You definitely should, these companies are still going to keep laying people off. Just start downsizing your bills in the meantime in order to not have as much stress and more financial wiggle room.
You should see if you're able to talk to a financial advisor. We can only speculate but that's a big decision.
I remember once time trump tweeted something and my 401K lost $300. It may not be much to someone with a large 401K but I was mortified that trump's vitriol, hate, and ignorance could have such instant results.

Just for the record I’m a white woman that DEFINITELY voted for Kamala, and white women let me down too. So please just know it’s not ALL white women 💙
Samesies. I am so disgusted by my fellow white women. Just... ugh. No.
Thank you for your eloquence. 59 year old white woman here, just shaking her head after this election. I appreciate your insight that some folks wanted to punish the party over which they thought they had the most power- I was simply baffled at the “protest” myself. And then there are our white sisters to ponder. Some were amongst the protest vote, thinking they were being allies. And I think some are suffering a form of Stockholm syndrome, thinking they must support their oppressors, in the hopes they will get better treatment. But I still have a dream. I dream for the day women remember the queens they are, as you described.

As a white female who is devastated about the election results, I just have to say that I agree with you…lessons need to be learned and it won’t be pretty. Some people’s epigenetics need an upgrade! Without the lessons, there will be no progress.
It will be hard for me to navigate through the future knowing I’m cut off from some family, from a lot of other white women, and, understandably, from black women too.
I am proud of how your community (male and female) showed up and did the right thing. Very good point of view. I have many friends who are black women, and I have learned so much from their experiences and wisdom because there is a perspective there that reveals strength from struggle. It has always been such a strong testimony to me. The people in this country, particularly women, should have voted in unity during this election and followed the lead of black women in this. It is devastating. And Kamala Harris was one of the most inspiring leaders I've ever seen.

Too bad you didn't support her the first time she ran.
Those unanimous votes was a message to Black Women everywhere.
I’m so done!

Thank you for this word. I've been struggling this whole week and a half, trying not to feel hopeless. This helped my spirit so much.
This is a spot on reaction to the election result.
