Fair enough, but devil's advocate, if you are referring to the genocide in Gaza, it really wasn't the Arab population who effed us over, it was specifically the White and Latino community. They are the ones who are politically powerful in terms of voting, the rest made no difference and never will, which is probably why the democrats were so extremely comfortable buddying up with Israel, arming them, defending them and essentially spitting on the voters who were traumatised by that. I've noticed a lot of BP blaming them and that's just not factually accurate or fair, because punching down to an already downtrodden population who are barely surviving, instead of punching up to the people who actually screwed us is ridiculous and plays right into the divide that the ones in power want.

November 5, 2024 is the new Emancipation Day.
I also have 5 letters after my name. I'm a history professor who focuses on Early America. I've always thought about myself as a patriot historian because I love the world transforming ideas this nation was founded on. Now I'm a "critical" historian. 250 years later, here is what we are forced to reckon with, America was never those ideas. White supremacy and hegemonic masculinity are too deeply rooted in the soul of this nation. They are more powerful ideas than Democracy, freedom and equality ever were. God will have to sort them out. We are done. Now we have clarity. Now we (black women) are free-free.

I voted for Kamala and have been a lifelong Democrat and am surprised and deeply saddened that people voted for fascism in America. Man things were more affordable when Trump was in office. It's always difficult for a Vice President to win when the VP is part of a failed administration. White lady here. I'm crushed. I gave it everything I had. I really did. Y'all have been at the front of this fight for so long and for too long. Some progressive white women tuned out, you showed up. I saw it; anyone who was paying attention did. My take is if you/your family voted MAGA, I'm not donating to you, I'm not supporting your business, I'm not kicking in to your GoFundMe or helping you in any way. I used to volunteer and try to help everyone. I'm letting people do their own thing so they can experience what they voted for. If they want cruelty, all they had to do was ask.

As African the most sad thing i noticed being under Genocide for 2 years in Tigray it was so sad no one was speaking for us like sudan and congo as well. I will say this because I am fighting for anyone black.
But seeing all the protest for Arab countries who do not give an F about a black people was saddening. Completely overlooked even by our own.( i am african and i do consider african american as my sisters and brothers). It’s unfortunate because people that said they were voting for Kamala, voting and or voting democrat didn’t. My mother worked the polls and said she saw a lot of young people voting red.
