You don't how many times I played a Pokémon game and they said "You have achieved a great accomplishment by beating the champion" or something like that. I'm just like " What happened to Saving the world! Yeah I did that!"
SidTheEpic Archie in AS respects you enough to fight alongside you and actually calls you by your(Character's) name for once if you talk to him after the Delta Episode, I imagine the same is probably true for Maxie in OR. Maxie(AS)/Archie(OR) seem to recognize your potential enough to anticipate having a battle. You, the Player, are the one who inspired Wally to become stronger, hell *YOU* are his sole motivating(Save for maybe his own Pokemon) to keep improving, despite how many time he gets knocked down, even by you(His praise for you becomes endless at the end, minus taking the time to show he has confidence in himself). Zinnia recognizes your potential as Champion immediately after becoming it(Justified seeing as she's been watching your progress through Team Aqua/Magma ever since Petalburg Woods), thinking highly enough of you before defeating her at Sky Pillar when saying *"I'm not talking to you(Steven). You don't get it"* , not to mention, it is implied she handed her title of Lorekeeper over to Player. The Elite Four seems recognize you in their own individual(If not unique ways), same goes for the gym leaders(Especially Norman and Wallace, who give you the most out-right praise, Wallace also gives you praise concerning the events of Sootopolis). They're a bit tucked away, but they exist, if you go to Bulbapedia it's all documented there. On the topic of beating the evil teams and receiving due praise, Kalos is the most thankful, bar none, but you do receive a fair amount of this from some people in ORAS, and though there's I've personally found to back this up, I would be extremely surprised if there was no praise given on BuzzNav after the incident, but there's no mention of you after the Delta Episode, the best gratitude you're getting there is *You saved the world and everyone was so happy to see the once-in-a-thousand-years Comet Show* . Better than nothing, but certainly pales in comparison to Kalos.
Trevor and Tierno helped with fighting the Flare members at the route with the Pokémon graves alongside Sina and Dexio, and if it wasn't for Shauna how would you open that door?
A few days later... Crowds of people gathered in Lumiose City to celebrate the five defenders of the Kalos region and to cheer for it's new Champion, *_Badass!_*
The "Waiting for him to return to the man he was. The man who loves Pokémon with all his heart" line really got to me since the last Pokémon game I played was Emerald when it just came out and getting back into Pokémon as an adult with responsibilities this really got me emotional. I'll never let go of my love for Pokémon again.
@TheSecondE5DKanto is my home region since i played when i was around 4. Now I'm 27 and never let go of my love for pokemon! 😄 i played until ultra sun/moon and can't wait to play the new stuff :)
This scene always pissed me off. All Trevor did was be a nerd, Shauna watched fireworks, Tierno liked to dance, and Serena was the worst rival ever. I single-handedly saved the world and here I am getting 20% of the credit.
correction, Trever was a 'neeeeeeeerd'. Shauna watched fireworks, got chased by Flare Grunts whenever they showed up and followed you into team flare HQ pretending to be a 'friend' (while also ending up running away screaming at the sight of flare admins, leaving you alone to face all the admins 'alone' cause Serena hada go save her.) the only useful thing she did was open the door... using a device clemont made... which broke. Tierno liked to dance, and that was it, and he gave you an item or 2 occasionally but other than that he was useless. And Serena was just your rival, a poor rival, but hey, she was better than the afore mentioned idiots.
Serena is better than the other dummies, but she is the worst RIVAL by far. Rivals are supposed to be one step ahead of you at all times. NOPE, not Serena. With my last battle with her my Pokemon were 10 levels over hers.
lol same, when I read 5, I was like "wait 5? but I'm the only one who did everything". I could understand shauna and serena because they kept me company in team flare's base. but the fatass and the nerd didn't do anything.
@Typhlosion777 as kid who was into Pokémon almost since I was born, watch XY after B2W2 was nothing short of a technological feat of my life. Little did I know this feat would last over a decade...
This is the best pokemon game I´ve ever played. And it is because of this. The quest for returning a loved one, despite everything... and finding after all the mistakes forgiveness towards oneself, to possibly be forgiven. This is truly a happy ending, and several tears ran down my cheek in this short cutscene.
I legitimately loved X/Y so much. Of course, it wasn't a perfect gen, but I just really connected with it. I particularly liked how they made it go full circle with the Fletchling at the end :D
I love how the protagonist's friends also get some recognizion. Ah, to this day the ending still makes me cry. And if you add to that the credits song...
Have you played Undertale, my good sir? if you are looking for a game with feels, go play that for sure. not saying I didn't shed a tear during this scene
I believe Pokemon XY had a good story to tell. The problem is that it focuses mostly on the megaevolution instead of developing the companions and rival's stories, the story of AZ is told just at the nearly end of the adventure and they could have showed us more about Diantha and the other members of the elite four, because they're just that the elite four, but not even characters that can be seen anywhere else at least. (Just Malva)
@@danielmunoz1275 Like one friend told me before.... Just watch Pokemon Generations XY Episode, literally condenses the key plot of the game. Lysandre/Team Flare's plot was predictable and boring, and the rest of characters were totally meh to read. I never tried to speedrun one Pokemon game until I tried it past month
This is the first pokemon ending that actually touched my heart x,D and the ending with the lyrics to sing the song...aaaah it was too great ;n; I absoluetly love this game now
It broke my heart when I first played this part. It reminded me of all the times I played the past generations my first game was Platinum and I've been a fan ever since! Pokemon!
Whenever I see Shauna my brain hisses. I hate her that much. I wish she would shut up. Tierno and Trevor can suck it. Serena was generic, but I could tolerate her.
To be honest, as much as I adore X and Y, everything it did and all the wonderful new Pokémon it introduced, the story was such a step down from Black and White. Sun and Moon seems to be headed towards a fresh, new path instead of the same and sorta tired 8 gyms then Elite Four story. The trials sound exciting and the Ultra Beasts seem like a cool concept. Can't wait.
***** Hmm, interesting. Well, I guess we'll just have to see how this all pans out. There's no gyms according to several sources, jury is still out if there's no Elite Four. I'm sure the Ultra Beasts will provide an excellent challenge regardless
Ray Muniz Well, the no gyms thing has been confirmed at this point. (By pokemon company themselves.) And this should make it obvious that there's no Pokemon League in the region. The Ultra Beasts are quite unique (Eight have been found and they even have shiny sprites that have also been found in the demo)
Az should totally be the Champion in Pokemon Z or whatever it's called. After being reunited with Floette, he rediscovers his purpose in life, and seeks out the means to unify the country into helping Pokemon everywhere. To do this he takes on the Elite Four and uses it's political and social power for the greater good.
I think the ending of the cutscene/music with the fletchling chirp just leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling of "Yep, it's over, I did it", then cue blank "well, now what?" face
I mean we kinda know how the story will end. But it would be cool to see the Great Pokemon war, why and how it happened, and of course see my man AZ get some more screen time
Fly isn't a crime, especially if you happen to not have any other Fliers in your main-story team. Hell, plug anything to that Charizard's moveset, you just don't need four redundant Fire-type attacks
Charizard's Attack is pretty good and can be a good mixed attacker. This isn't competitive battle you don't need to specialize in just physical or just special
THIS is one of those big battles I could have again! Face AZ again! Such an epic battle! It's a shame I can't see that stage more than once. Would have been sweet to pick it as a backdrop in online battles.

I hope AZ makes an appearance in the anime and they do his character justice. The x and y anime has been the best since the first few seasons and it would be even better if there was a plot where AZ is involved, such an awsome ending! What a game!
Yami Harmonia well considering it's anime there would probably be an exaggerated freak out. because when ever something unusual or something intimidating is encountered the characters would overreact more then usual
Best ending to any pokemon game ever.. the music always brings me chills during the award ceremony, and brings tears of joy to my eyes when AZ gets his pokemon back
i started to cry when i saw this scene. and i still do watching it again. this is by far the best pokemon game that game freak has created and i dont know how they are going to top this with the 7th generation in the future.
The music, the shaking, the time it took in order to reach this ending sells it so well. If you imagine it, a week or two of playing this game made an imaginary character reunite with something it loved so much after 3000 years. Insane. Still one of the best pokemon endings 10 years later.
There really needed to be a sequel or updated version at the time, so much of this story was good but alot of it was wasted. I’m glad AZ got a good conclusive story though
its the best pokemon ending ever in my opinion. the symphony is perfect, the setting just right and it touches the heart deeply with love and compassion. just as good as any romance movie
Wait, you're serious. Man, this Pokemon game has a great plot. Then again, I missed out on Gen 5, but still... there's so much emotion going on in X/Y. The conflict of idealism, the preciousness and beauty of life and confronting the fact that it's all finite, but we ought to share and cherish it nonetheless. It's maybe not the most groundbreaking story of all time, but it's thought-provoking and it emotionally connects with you. I look forward to the next Pokemon games, but for now X/Y is great
+Klemen Kekec to be fair hitler wanted to kill a specific group of people, AZ just nuked the place, kind of like what happened to hiroshima and nagasaki
I think the ending could've worked better if we got to know the old guy more. We only see him a couple of times, get a backstory, and then battle him. As a result, the ending is somehow both touching and awkward. If the game was made longer, we might've been given more of a chance to get to know him, therefore making it more effective. Ya get me?
This is the first video game moment that made me flat out cry. AZ is finnaly reunited with the one he loves most... Game freak sure knows how to make tragic characters.
Sorry....WHAT?! A sad cutscene? No. Emotional yes, but not sad. It's actually supposed to be the opposite. AZ's Floette left him 3,000 years ago due to his actions, but now that he has finally let go off the past and opened his heart once again, Floette felt like returning to him at long last, waiting for that day to finally come and it did.
During the battle, I told my brother that if AZ had his lost pokemon in his team I would cry. Finished the battle, got to that final cutscene, and just started crying my eyes out.
'What an amazing turnout! All these people are here to celebrate your achievements!'

someone should totally gif 4:20 and replace floette with the word feels
And that says nothing of how people must've collectively freaked out at first seeing the guy in the Lumiose Badlands.
Your Charizard makes me want to cry.
Such a heartwarming moment ❤
When I saw this on my game. I was like "WHY ARE POKEMON ENDINGS SO SAD". I wanted to happycry when he got reunited with his Floette.
Pokémon y and x for sure had the best story
I hope AZ makes an appearance in the anime and they do his character justice. The x and y anime has been the best since the first few seasons and it would be even better if there was a plot where AZ is involved, such an awsome ending! What a game!
i wonder how he will appear in the anime
lauchlin yurchuk me too...now, ash have 4 badges, i am so anxious about this !
Yami Harmonia and apparently going on a date with Serena next ep. if that's true AshXMisty fans eat your hearts out
Yeah but i don t really care it was obvious.. lauchlin yurchuk for you, how will be ash in front of our gentle giant ?
Yami Harmonia well considering it's anime there would probably be an exaggerated freak out. because when ever something unusual or something intimidating is encountered the characters would overreact more then usual
I’ve been playing Pokémon Y for years and I FINALLY become the Champion after so many years of restarting and trying to find the right Pokémon team
Best ending to any pokemon game ever.. the music always brings me chills during the award ceremony, and brings tears of joy to my eyes when AZ gets his pokemon back
This ending stuck with me way more than the Sun & Moon ending, tbh.
i started to cry when i saw this scene. and i still do watching it again. this is by far the best pokemon game that game freak has created and i dont know how they are going to top this with the 7th generation in the future.
The music, the shaking, the time it took in order to reach this ending sells it so well. If you imagine it, a week or two of playing this game made an imaginary character reunite with something it loved so much after 3000 years. Insane. Still one of the best pokemon endings 10 years later.
That's a happy ending! Floette came back to AZ!
I was crying cuz AZ has finally found his lost friend :')
Im a MAN i don't cry! ok sometimes
The one thing I loved about this battle is the music still playing in the background when both nodded out of respect.
I LOVE XY WITH ALL MY HEART!💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤💙❤
Nice touch that the game begins and ends with Fletchling.
X/Y is underrated don't @ me
this is the beginning of 2025 Legends AZ, with Floette and AZ as the antagonists
"and to cheer its new Champion, Badass!" I'm embarrassed to say that I laughed right there.
no matter how many new gen games come around....x and y will be special forever
This is sad? Go play pokemon mystery dungeon explorers of darknnes/time/sky. THAT is a sad ending.
+Felipe Cyrineu And Red Rescue Team!
CIZZETA true, but (SPOILER ALERT for PMD1 and PMD2)
the main character dying is much sadder than he/she going back to the human world
TRUEEE X'C
+Felipe Cyrineu This is true, but this is the first main series Pokemon game that brings the tears, know what I'm saying?
+CaptainRed1000 Not really... I actually cried with the end scene of Pokemon Black... :/
There really needed to be a sequel or updated version at the time, so much of this story was good but alot of it was wasted. I’m glad AZ got a good conclusive story though
If pokemon z puts in the voices for the characters, the feels would be a lot stronger than they already are.

Sycamore: On behalf of Kalos I would like to say....
Me: Happy Birthday?
Sycamore: Thank You!
Me: oh.
Legends Pokemon ZA ?
X and y was my first game
its the best pokemon ending ever in my opinion. the symphony is perfect, the setting just right and it touches the heart deeply with love and compassion. just as good as any romance movie
I look forward to the next Pokemon games, but for now X/Y is great
Totally not crying
I feel you
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
+but why your username makes your emoji comment so much better.
Can we acknowledge this trainer is named Badass, he truly is badass
ive stumbled upon a forgotten relic.
I don't think I've ever seen such a mixture of disbelief and happiness expressed so realistically in a character before.
I like this scene is basically the Pokemon version of Hitler reuniting with his pet animal after he turns nice.
+Klemen Kekec to be fair hitler wanted to kill a specific group of people, AZ just nuked the place, kind of like what happened to hiroshima and nagasaki
+impulse impetus when pokemon gets political
Blondi?
+Emperor Of the Sky Rayquaza To end a war that killed a lot
+Klemen Kekec
More Truman than Hitler if you know what I mean....

Ngl, I cried when AZ got his Floette back.
This has to be one of the best battles ever. And the inclusion of the gym music gives it one last hurrah. It's a shame we can't rechallenge him.
I think the ending could've worked better if we got to know the old guy more. We only see him a couple of times, get a backstory, and then battle him. As a result, the ending is somehow both touching and awkward. If the game was made longer, we might've been given more of a chance to get to know him, therefore making it more effective. Ya get me?
***** Really? Care to elaborate?
There was backstory you missed it in the labs.
Fated Wind read his fucking comment again
I will not cry. I will not cry.
Me:
*CRIES LIKE A BABY*
Not gonna cry...
Not gonna cry....
Not gonna cry...
DAMNIT! :'''''(
This is the first video game moment that made me flat out cry. AZ is finnaly reunited with the one he loves most... Game freak sure knows how to make tragic characters.
Regardless of what you think about gen 6 this was amazing
Gen 6 is underrated imo it's also the gen that makes me nostalgic
I cried too at this ending :"(. So cool how the two of them lived so long! And here they are :).
