I'm both upset and thankful. I mean, I am upset that Zygarde didn't get to shine and its final form didn't debut until the next generation, and most of all, I'm sad that Kalos didn't get the chance to correct its mistakes and improve; Pokémon Z would have reivindicated the mucho reviled Kalos games like Platinum reivindicated Sinnoh. On the other hand, I feel glad that for once, Game Freak and the Pokémon Company didn't try to sell us the same game again at full price. Too bad they didn't plan ahead and integrated a Zygarde storyline and a decent post-game in XY.

Not like the same game with other box art legendary and some other stuff but a story that happens on another dimension like ultra sun and moon or a few years later like black and white , i really like those kinda of remakes :) imagine you playing a "pokemon y2" and az is waiting for you in the post game on a hidden village a ruin or a cave waiting for a battle to see if youre Worthy of his floette

I feel like when the sword/shield remakes come out, they’ll be fused with the x/y remakes for a sequel including both regions, if you’re confused I’ll just list a few small reasons that lead me to this -france and britain have a very interconnected history -the darkest day and the war happened in the same time frame -eternatus and the eternal floette have a similar naming scheme, not to mention their signature moves are similar -they both have similar coloured box legendaries (blue and red) (this is a stretch but I’m including it anyways) -the couriway train station had near to no use in x/y but in galar train stations are a huge part of progression, so perhaps they could be linked through the station

It wasn't that it was one of a kind, but that it had a flower that was extinct. Floette get their power from the flower they have... and the eternal flower is a more powerful flower... So it's the flower that's dead... the Floette itself isn't a variant though...

In the data mine leaks for the Sun Moon demo there’s a section that describes prior series entries, there’s one for each game including ORAS but right in between the ORAS and Sun Moon entries is one that says calos reserve (don’t know why it’s misspelled) from what I remember there were 2 calos reserve entries implying it’d have been two sequel games, like USUM rather than Pokemon Z.

If the Azure Flute appears in D/P Remakes I'd say AZ's Floette will finally be attainable in X&Y Remakes sometime after 2025. If the Azure Flute Distribution was cancelled because it would be too confusing, something similar might happen in the future.

Might not be what you want, but it's more likely to happen. Kalos Remakes are more likely to have a Zygarde-Centered Delta Episode.

One way how it could be distributed would be the Floette getting a partner and boom egg; the egg will hatch into a Flabebe which then evolve into an eternal flower Floette at a late level It might take a while to hatch Perhaps you will be able to battle AZ and when you win you get an egg as the player character reminds him of the MC from X/Y Just a thought
It would be cool if the game took a coliseum approach where AZ floette was your “starter” because the journey is about finding him to reunite him and floette. I’m welcoming to anything beyond “fight 8 gyms, beat league” since it’s gotten so stale

I think story-wise its better if this floette stayed with AZ. However, they could have revealed a second floette with the same look, explaining it as an ancient form of the pokémon.

They could set a future game 100 or so years before XY giving us AZs Flowette. The Flowette would be without a trainer by the time XY roles around in the timeline. They could have us end a cataclysmic event and the Flowette would come to the player out of respect similarly to Suicune in Crystal

Somebody pointed out how Area Zero is abbreviated AZ. And Paldea borders Kalos to the northeast. It would be super cool to get more to this story in ScVi DLC and finally get Eternal Flower Floette.
I just watched moxie’s nuzlocke video on scarlet and violet, which reminded me of this because he discusses it in his video. The machine he uses is from the energy mega evolution uses, and it looks like the new Pokémon Glimmora, which suspiciously has links to Area Zero and terastalisation, but the machine is is said to be linked to mega evolution. This supports the theory that mega evolution and terastalisation energy are the same, which could make sense. They are both very crystally and aesthetically similar, with the Pokémon transforming crystally. There are more links though. The paradox pokemon of area zero are thought to actually be fake, and dreamt up by the characters, and brought to life, which is what happened with AZ’s Floette. AZ’s Floette also has the name Eternal Flower, which is similar naming to a paradox pokemon. AZ’s Floette is literally a paradox pokemon. Something that should not exist, but does due to the dreams of people. AZ’s Floette is literally a paradox. It all links up now. AZ’s Floette was an Easter egg of what more was to come. It also makes sense geographically because of course you would hint on paldea in the kalos games, which is near to paldea. Maybe the terastal energy is close enough to kalos that it affects it too, which could explain mega evolution, which could be linked to terastalisation. I recommend everyone to watch moxie’s nuzlocke video. It is very interesting, touching and emotional.

I still think the azure flute answer was bs, you just go to mt coronet whats so confusing about that?
Whats also funny is the entire way people found to find it via tweaking. Going to mount coronet was too difficult they deemed so we broke the game.
I'd argue tweaking is on par or even harder than the Regi puzzles, so personally, I think it's fine to do.
