The Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 is the best shoe I’ve ever put my hands on. It’s light, extremely comfortable and it just drives you forward with the nylon plate. The elastic laces make the lockdown your perfect fit for your speed sessions and race days. That said, my current rotation comprises the Mach 5, Endorphin Speed 3, NB Fresh Foam More v4 and the Hoka Speedgoat 5.
Ive been doing almost all my training in the endorphin speed 3. Racing in the Endorphin pro, my feet just absolutely love that combo. Yes the combo of the plate and foam in all super shoes definitely are propelling you forward. Giving you that "trampoline" effect
Zoom Fly 5 has recycled ZoomX foam, which is the same foam in their flagship racing shoes like the Alphafly and Vaporfly. Being recycled, the ZoomX foam in this shoe is basically a shredded version which still retains some of the texture of virgin ZoomX but it isn’t as bouncy. This shoe does NOT use React foam but a carrier foam shell similar to their older Cushlon foam, while React is generally softer and less bouncy. It’s an underrated shoe honestly because it’s super cushiony but still has a plate to feel speedy. At a Nike clearance store, you can pick these up for $80, which is a hell of a deal

It's nice hearing someone being straightforward. Even though you mention all the technical names they put in their products, you just say how it makes you feel. I follow kofuzi too and I feel like his reviews are a little too detailed for me. It gets a little confusing, at least to me. Personally, I just want to know how they feel and what they are intended for. Cool video.
For long recovery runs, the Nike invincible or react infinity are difficult to beat. For the marathon I struggle to see past the Adidas Pro or the Nike Alpha/Vaporfly just so quick and responsive
I think the foam is more important because it's essentially what gives the shoe its bounce/energy feedback/cushioning... but the plates give it an extra "pop" and stability like if you try the vaporfly or puma's fastr elite, its clearly more poppy and fast than something like that pegasus or invincible which does not have a plate.
Been thinking about trying the Saucony pro and I think you convinced me. Right now I'm running in the NB 880s. I like that they would have the same drop as I have occasional knee issues

I think Kofuzi has some really good insights on this topic on his channel. But generally 80%+ of your runs are easy runs so get a good daily trainer that you love to run in, and then also a “faster” shoe for the other ~20% which are usually faster, intentional workouts and stuff. I personally rotate between my Atreyu Base and their carbon plated Artist shoe, but there’s SO many shoes to choose between that are great so try some one if you can.
I could see them just continuing on with the Elite line, honestly. It’ll be the Vaporfly/Alphafly competitor, and I could see them winning a large percentage of people in that battle.

I'm definitely a Saucony fanboy never felt so fast I got a pair of alphaflys and hated them and never went back to Nike

If you're a Hoka guy try the original Rocket X they are light and stable. Much better than a Nike Zoom Fly. The Rocket X should be on sale now.

I have the endorphin pro 3s and I’m usually a size 10 in other shoes but with the pro 3s I had to go with a 10.5
