Nice one Dannielle and a cracking fat Coley. Regarding the guy fishing next to the swell, he want's his head looking at, a friend of mine in Scotland was fishing on a similar high point and suggested to a guy who was fishing at a lower water mark in a rough swell, to move to a higher point. John heard a yell, turned a round and the guy was gone, never to be seen again. John never went near the sea or fished for several years following this. Well done for making the effort, you catch no fish sat on a settee.
Ah that must have been terrible to have witnessed, it’s crazy to take such risks, those rocks were already skippy even before the swells started rolling over 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Good Evening Danielle ,that was a nice coalie , try butterflying your bluey so the flesh is on the out side then whip it on your hook , so take care & tight lines
Brilliant content as usual and the backdrop looks familiar. Beautiful scenery and if it wasnt for the wind it would have been ideal. Keep the videos coming ❤
Thank you Yeh if that wind hadn’t of been so strong I would have been on the lower rocks with the weedless lures chasing the Pollock, there always next time though 🤩🐟🎣
Thanks David Yeh it was chunky. Haha felt like a dare devil on top of that cliff 🫣 I was careful and kept safe from the edges, I always err on the side of caution 👍🎣🐟
Great video Dannielle👍 A lively coalie’ is a bonus, but what a fantastic location with that moody ruin of a hill fort. Seeing the hank of rope on your pack I had to wonder if you had to climb down to that spot…. Really enjoying your videos and i’m now gonna’ have to get onto google maps and find that old ruin of a fort😏
Thanks Greg Yeh what a location, my favourite place to fish on the Northumberland coast as it involves a canny walk there and back. I’ve started carrying the rope just to be safer, no climbing on this one, but you never know when exploring new venues - better safe than sorry 🎣🐟👍 tight lines
Haha, that one was Chris 😆 It did a great high dive, with a perfect entry, I wish I had filmed it but I didn’t want to hold my camera over the shear edge 🫣😆🎣🐟
It almost happened to my dad's brother & pals when fishing towards the end of amble pier years ago believe it or not, I'm 46 now but was just a bairn at the time, it was a rainy day but suddenly the winds picked up, a huge wave crashed up & my dad lost all sight of them n fought they were in the drink just a brief moment, they were soaked thru to the skin. My dad was standing in the right spot for a reason. Even to this day, he can't explain. No fish is worth risking your life for. Great video, btw - 👌
Thanks Keith Amble pier can be really dangerous, I was there just a couple months ago and saw waves coming right over the end of the pier, I fished along the prom well away from danger, was a great session too that night 👍🎣🐟
Well done was nice to see you today I'm pleased you didn't tell me how you got on coz I wouldn't of watched if I knew where you were my legs shaking thinking about there been once never again 😂😂😂I'm bad enough at the other mark not far from there ❤❤❤
Another fish gal well done, was that Embelton cove in the background?, we spent a week there a few years ago, there was a lovely little pub, the other end of the cove, only sold the beer it brewed itself, absolutely lovely, tight lights 👍🏼🎣
Great video Hinney and as you say fishing is good for the soul , i now that mark well when on holiday its tough but lots of deep water but you cant beat a bit of smelly bluey for bait as that fat coaley fell for .
Thanks ✋🤩🤚 Yeh it was a chunky little Coalie, I’ve only ever had a couple before that size, they give a good fight - that one didn’t have chance too, being hauled vertically straight up. I’m glad he went back in ok, it was a canny high drop 🫣👍🎣🤩
I’ll be getting the floats out there on future trips, what depth would you set too at that spot? I’ve never float fished in that depth water before 🤔 💭
Just slide the stop knot band up and down the line and play with the depths until you have success, every few chucks just change the depth…you will be able to test how deep it is by noticing if your float is laying on its side then just shorten it a bit and play the bottom..if your getting no success then make it shorter again…small hook, with a tiny scrap of worm or bait seems to work best there….the birds can be a bit annoying but there are some huge fish to be had there this time of year…just drop your float about 2 meters from the cliff face and make sure you have plenty of slack loose line to reel into when you get that bite
Lovely session and venue. As you say, good to try different things. Thank you for sharing your time with us. The peace of wild things, by Wendell Berry. When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
I’ve got a long reach normal net but that wouldn’t reach there. Not sure I could get close enough to the edge on this mark to be able to see while manoeuvring a drop net and fish into place, it was pretty high up, I’ll watch some videos on drop netting to see how it works, thanks 👍🎣🐟
Good morning young lady ... in a word excellent .. well done you and thank you for always lifting my heart ..stay positive godbless 😊🎣
Thank you Michael
Always a pleasure 👍🎣👍

Good Evening Danielle ,that was a nice coalie , try butterflying your bluey so the flesh is on the out side then whip it on your hook , so take care & tight lines

I’m guessing that the fleshy part would be more tempting done like that- I shall try that next time 👍🎣🐟

Yeh I remember you saying that you didn’t have a head for heights.
Thanks for that rod holder, and the cuppa 👍🎣🐟
Well done 👍
Thank you 🤩👍🎣🐟
Another fish gal well done, was that Embelton cove in the background?, we spent a week there a few years ago, there was a lovely little pub, the other end of the cove, only sold the beer it brewed itself, absolutely lovely, tight lights 👍🏼🎣

It is Embleton Beach 👍 I’ll have to fish that too at some point 🎣🐟
Great video Hinney and as you say fishing is good for the soul , i now that mark well when on holiday its tough but lots of deep water but you cant beat a bit of smelly bluey for bait as that fat coaley fell for .
Thanks Adam
Yeh, it’s probably my favourite place to fish, the Bluey saved me a blank 👍🎣🐟
Definitely 10 out of 10 for trying.
Nice fish you caught tho.
😎🎣🐟
Thanks ✋🤩🤚
Yeh it was a chunky little Coalie, I’ve only ever had a couple before that size, they give a good fight - that one didn’t have chance too, being hauled vertically straight up.

Thanks Barry
Yeh it was a good one, I was well pleased 👍🎣🐟
"A proper chunk"!
Quality.
Haha it was, one of the best Coalies I’ve caught so far 👍🎣🐟
A much maligned fish. They are great for fishcakes and have saved more blanks than I care to remember.
And great fun on the lrf.
Great fun when you use a carp rod and a float at that mark, right in the top corner as you come through the wall
I’ll be getting the floats out there on future trips, what depth would you set too at that spot? I’ve never float fished in that depth water before 🤔 💭

I’ll deffo be back up in the next couple of months so will take a float too 👍🎣🐟
Shud try Budle Bay good mark for , dustbin size flatties
I’ve done a video from Budle Bay previously, it’s a great place to fish 👍🎣🐟
Good on ye Lass..x
Thank Hugh
I had a great time, despite the blustery conditions, I always enjoy being out there fishing 👍🎣🐟
Lovely session and venue. As you say, good to try different things. Thank you for sharing your time with us.

Was a great little session, glad I changed tactics, it paid off and I managed another video 👍🎣🐟
Thanks for the poem mate, it's new to me and it's beautiful. Wendell Berry is the poet if anyone is interested.
@@benlepoidevin7047 Yes. Sorry, I should have said who the author was
@@benlepoidevin7047 edited to include the author :-)
Rule of thumb for me if there's a sea on at Seaton sluice there'll be one on up north..👍
I should have had a look down the beach here beforehand, but still, I enjoyed the trip out 👍🎣🐟
If it's to heavy up north move into Berwick to fish...
Ah right thanks, I shall remember that 👍
I need to have a look into the marks up that way too 👀🎣🐟

I'm fine with heights have my limits but i rather lower marks can't swim 😂❤
I’m ok with heights up to a certain point, then my legs go wobbly 😆🤷🏻♀️🫣
@@fishinghinny 😅
As nother good un not worth risking yr life for a fish there's always another day😊
Yeh, I moved straight off those rocks soon as the swells started getting up, was nice and safe on the top 👍🎣😆
Take care Ñìce vìds Aĺlrespect tò ýou
