Thanks! I really liked the tricks it plays on the eyes when you turn this pattern. Speeding it up on the lathe and slowing it down to see the different results of pattern is addicting. Now you know what I do in the wood shop for entertainment!
Ya did it again, Tommy, by turning another outstanding bowl. Very nice. I have some 1” Purple Heart and maple strips about 24” long. I might try turning a similar bowl, but just a bit smaller since the swing on the lathe 12”.
Hey Tommy, Just getting caught up with my comments. Was (kinda) in your neck of the woods (Spokane) for a bit at my 50th class reunion, so I've not been watching my TH-cam videos for about 3 weeks. After your health challenges it appears you've returned to TH-cam with a vengeance. Looks like you're currently doing one video per week! Keep it up. Always like seeing what you create. :))
Thanks! I too always look for your comments. I am showing at the Tacoma Gift Festival in October so my wife is cracking the whip to make me get to work! I am producing about one video for every 4-5 projects so that should keep me in the game for awhile. If you are in Tacoma, look me up! As for my health, back to crazy normal!
Hi Tom, A relatively simple glue up compared to some of your segmented pieces and one I could make LOL. The end result however is just as spectacular as all of your pieces are. Great video Tom. Take care. Cheers, Huw
Thanks! This has always been one of my favorite designs to turn. Plays tricks on the eyes as you speed it up and slow it down on the lathe. Now you know what I do for entertainment in my shop. As always, I appreciate you watching!
