Never thought it could be possible to produce a square piece of work on a lathe. You proved IT IS - more than once! Admirable skills! Thank you for sharing!
Greetings from germany. I always thinking...what would you do when you have a german Workshop ...you are a true Master of Woodworking. And an Inspiration to me. Thank you for your Videos
Beautiful result as always. Glad to see you kept the tail stock attached to the piece for as long as possible. I learned to do so the hard way. Four years ago a piece flew off my lathe and I was struck in the wrist and broke a bone (the Ulna). Wasn't allowed to drive for three weeks. If I'd kept the tailstock on a while longer it wouldn't have happened.
Yes, the tail stock must be maintained as long as possible to hold the wood flying, and can be removed if the wood is very thin, be careful when working
...I was unaware of rengas wood until I found your channel...I've not run across it here in the US...it's a beautiful wood and you always turn it into something special...well done...👍

Thank you too, yes it can be done although it's a bit dangerous because turning square objects has sharp corners 😁🙏🙏
You had me at "square plate". Love it. 😎

Seems to be a simple enough project. But this looks awesome. Make me want to get back into my shop.

Nice looking square edge plate with no damaged fingers. I turned a square bowl myself yesterday and my fingers are still intact...
Yes, it's true that turning at an angle is very risky for the finger to be slapped
Súper elegante
Thanks 🙏🙏

It's a typical wood from Indonesia, maybe there are similarities in America too but I don't know what it's called
very nice
Thanks 🙏🙏
wonderfull
Thank you 🙏
As usual one of a kind excellent work. I would have made a nice leg in the middle with nice decoration of Sam 2 woods. What do you think?
Buen cacharro.
Thanks 🙏🙏
Wunderschön!
Really nice....makes me think I may be able to do it! Is that 2x2 stock, or thicker?
What do you mean by 2x2 stock?
@@mayukowoodturning7644 -I was referring to the thickness of the pieces.
@@beav1962 50mm x 50mm.
Las cuchillas esas con las que torneas las afilas o las cambias?
lo afilé
Yo las afilo también.
👍👍👍 👏👏👏 👋
Are you using a cupped round carbide or the regular round carbide?
I use ordinary round carbide
@@mayukowoodturning7644 Thanks! I hope to get to your level one day. You're doing beautiful art my friend!
@@Tuxon86 Thank you very much, keep it up and you can do it
Where did you get that nice name button for the bottom of the bowl?
I made it in the coin shop
