Very interesting, would like to see that battery & motor climbing a long hill. Can't wait for the next version.

Hey it's always better to go bigger even if you are going to run it at a lower speed, that way you over build so there is headroom to avoid internal heat up or meltdown.
That controller maxed out is far too powerful for that 750w motor, it is probably half cooked by now, I agree that chopper is definitely for a slow ride by cruiser to check out the summer honeys 😉

The bike looks great keep up the great work I hope it's nothing seriously wrong and you can get it running again for the spring cruising.

I wish they'd legalise eScooters instead of government tyrants keeping only their own rentals as legal.

It was meant to be done in 2022 but delayed for some reason. I reckon at some point this year they'll discuss it.

You need solar type wire to carry the power and go at least one size bigger to be sure is the norm. I'd say size 0 to size 2 would do it if the controller can push enough power. Cool bike

Cops will kill you. And here nothing happens to them. No Matter what. Just took kid out of car and beat to death!! I mean beat! Kicked punched and cops stood around laughing.. and nothing will happen to them.. they get promoted.. can you imagine.. getting beat to death? Even if I knew nothing would happen to me. I couldn't do or watch my friends. Kid is in heaven now. No pain.. with family.. those cops? Hell.. ya USA trying to get out. But cost so much money.. no body gets out. Just the rich.. was fun to ride. But not worth my life.

This isn't legal in the UK, however you're fairly unlikely to get caught if you're careful. To be honest the rider is easily most at risk here, not so much other people

torque is all you need really top end is wasted around the town .i watched youre stuff and built one myself and its a real beast tbh its a 2010 voodoo canzoo full rockshox air suspension which is now tuned perfectly .im running 1500 watt hub 48v at 25 amps yeah the range isnt the best but ill parrallel another 48 v batterry .but im half tempted to throw another 1500 up front .the crazy thing with mine is its running reverse mullet 26 inch wheel up front 27.5 att rear this makes it turn in quicker as im not a fan of slow reacting bikes with slack headtube angles .im happy hitting 35 -40 on flat but a little more torque and panniers for fishing .would you think 2x 48v and run controllers at 28 amps maybe be best for this

nice bike but the power rating is wayyy to much dunno why everybody is on that hype LOOK AT MY BIKE IT'S GOT AN 100A controller and a 1kw motor and now its like 10 .000 watts !! cmonnnn even with Lipo u cant get past 2-3kw peak on that little motor....the efficiency of the motor goes way down past 1,5 kw continous power = more heat more phase amps = less continous power and voltage drop....

I've done what you want to do on my Andy Kirby 1500 kit Top end is the same but more acceleration, Just be careful of excess heat , 50 amps is pushing it but should be good for short sharp acceleration

@@anthonyharris1575 Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for, i.e more torque for hills etc. I am dialling the controller down to 45 amps as I don't want the battery fuse to blow.

and ps a bike that long and little ability to lean is a bit naughty .try a geard motor maybe see how far you can push it .would running a 750 watt geared motor achieve similar torque and top end at higher voltage .im no electrician by the way

Hopefully just burnt out the terminals, & the error is from low amps & voltage, due to the dry joint, mean as machine.

No Adventure no gain. You should use maybe bigger cables. If you are actually using 9000 watts of power. You might need 10 gage or bigger of wire size. I really don't know what size of cable you are using from this video.
I use 10 gage wire in my trike. I have 1200 watts power with 1000 watt motor. my trike, I have clocked it 89 kmph convert to us is about 52 miles per hour. I don't have electronic controller to limit speed or torque for the motor. remember 20 % of battery pack is never in used in all ion battery packs made or sell on the market. if, you do, you will kill that ion pack life. that is why my pack is 1200 watts
Which means you can over volt a motor but, not over watt the motor. The motor will go. Puff the magic Dragon on fire. Enjoy like Richard Pryor on fire!

    • @plebiansociety
      @plebiansociety ปีที่แล้ว

9000 watts at 60 volts would be 1/0 from the battery to the controller and 4 gauge for the phase wires. Under that and you start restricting. That's if he isn't already restricting. At 150a he's probably already restricting at the bms or the motor coils themselves.

very slim, rode my 1500w @34 mph everyday to work for 2 years. passed many a police car in the opposite direction never pulled once 30 mph on a bike is easy so it is actually difficult to prove, riding a scooter however is a different story and would create a lot more attention.

You did this with a 52V battery? Sounds rather implausible. Must be a 72V (low capacity) and at least 100A peak current controller right? Do you want to have a solution for more batteries and more juice?
