I wouldn't say the mid-section is 'dead energy,' more of a complacency. I think feeling bored is appropriate. They've achieved their goal so I think its natural to think, 'so now what?' They let their guard down and things fell apart. As an audience the stark contrast of spiraling from high to low was shocking!

This movie is GREAT!! As you said, it has ALL- amazing acting, perfect scenario(build up, twist, ending), scene scenary, set-design, music, editing and the THEME.. I recommend you another awesome Korean movie, "Train to Busan." This movie also has high production value. If you're a fan of zombie movies, you'll love this film, and if you're not a fan of zombie movies, you'll still love it. It may sound strange, but you'll fully understand what it means after watching the movie. This movie is also like a "pasasite."

i came across this video after binging on parasite reaction vids the past few days.
i dont usually comment but earlier today, news broke out that the actor who plays Mr. Park (the rich father) Lee Sun Kyun was reported ded from self unalivement. it was a very sudden news. he was very young (48) and is loved by many korean ent. industry watchers.
anyhow, i loved the reaction!

I saw this in my local theater the day it arrived mostly for the rich father actor Lee Sun-Kyun who had starred the previous year in my favorite TV drama ever, 'My Mister'. And yes, he's famous for that deep voice.
