The unique packaging on the coins made it so much easier to find the coin you’re looking for now it takes an eternity to find specific coins even if they’re stored in separate denominations
My favourite coin of 2024 was the Team GB 🇬🇧 coin also

With the vast increase of the RM BU packs from the start of 2025, you would expect the outer plastic covering to be of a better standard. I've had a couple that had torn or creased packaging, and had to transfer them into plastic covers I bought from the Works.
Shocking how that coin sailed through quality control with all that shmuck inside the capsule. That means the coin will need to be handled to clean it out, they recommend not handling the coin so id be temped to send that back.
The giant deer is interesting, I think the antlers are a little bit busy in their design, but cool! Like the proof sov too
love the zzzzz sound the box makes. the paul colour coin is nice and the ship at the end

Coins with colour just feels wrong to me. I feel a coin always looks best and feels right when it’s just the metal of the coin. Adding colour just feels like slapping a sticker over it.
do you keep the special coins in sets and when you have all in the set could you do a video on the set maybe

Moan about the packaging all you like - that is exactly what puts me off collecting coins issued by The Royal Mint... and I've held a collection for most of my life.

The silver sovereign is massively overpriced, however it is stunningly beautiful and probably my favourite coin in the collection
Have they every produced a Cliff Richard coin?
Perhaps the extra 10 produced are split between any artists & designers involved with the coin & its packaging?
I would like to think the extra 10 in proofs are given away to very important people like the king, museums, and the US library of congress.
The coins are nice to look at but I wonder if collectors actually think they will ever make beck the money if they are resold

Why would anyone buy those Paul McCartney coins? Oz of silver is £23 and the 1oz Paul coin is £118.

I think the new (recycled) plastic cases they have started to use are terrible.
Christopher, Christopher you have disappointed me. You seemed to have endorsed the packaging for the 1/40th oz gold proof coin of Paul McCartney which I think is terrible and I have e-mailed the RM to say so. Poor presentation on their part, no proper capsule and not even any description of this iconic musicians career. Cheap and nasty presentation. New Years resolution, be more selective in what I purchase.
