1 in 176 (10m/1.76bn) £1 coins minted for circulation is a bee £1, but only 2.975m went into circulation in August so that's 1 in 593. 6/5000 is 1 in 834. Of course we don't know how many of the 1.76bn are in long storage still or have been removed from circulation though, or how many of the 3m bees are in peoples collections already. I'd love to see another video like this a while from now, and maybe a year or two down the line from now to give some idea of how many are out there to find
Damn, I've gotten so use to the bee pounds here in Scotland already since we seem to get only full bee bags at work now. It's hard to see the old design now.
Happy Xmas Christopher, and well done on your bee finds. I do have a sealed bag of 20 Bees...which ìm not going to give to you...😅...see you soon at the Mint..if you turn up on time...
Haven't you got a set of kitchen / Jewellery weighing scales to check the lighter bags for odd weights? Can check this a lot quicker than raking through each bag.
Like most coin hunters, he takes the coins back to the bank that he doesn’t keep. So even though he searched through 5000 pounds, he only paid for the coins he kept (plus any bank fees he might have incurred).

Some fascinating unexpected finds today, glad to see a half dozen bee coins during the hunt 😊🐝
Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻
I picked up £30 in £1 coins from my bank a couple of weeks ago. I checked through them and there was one bee. It's very pretty.

What a beautiful coin. Merry Christmas Christopher.
Found my first 2023 Bee £1 Coin in a Trolley that someone left behind.
Christopher, have you noticed the ring of numbers just above the bees
Can’t see enough of those bees 🐝 🐝 🎉
*Absolute beauties to find. Merry Christmas to all. :)*
Hi Christopher. Did you go through each bag to find those missing a coin? If so, if it happens again, weigh the bags. It'll be quicker and easier.
I've had one of these bee £1 coins for a while now it is a lovely coin

Merry Christmas Christopher 🎅
nice bee 🐝 finds, i really enjoyed the hunt 🤘
I got one in my change in the shop last week
Waiting for Chris to do 100,000 coins and wait for him outside the bank.
Happy Christmas, no forgeries or toilet marks in all that lot which is a positive after the old round pound 😀
Yet to find one myself so well done, why not do the hunt quarterly, so every 12 weeks (1 bag a week)???
If you don’t already have one, get an inexpensive digital scale. That way you can quickly identify which bag(s) are missing a coin. 🙂
Just weigh the bags to find those you need to add coins to.

Do you have a date run for the new £1 coins?
I got one in my change in september!
Its absolutely flawless

When will you finish the 2000 pence world record hunt? 🤔
First 👍
What a sad way to spend time at Christmas looking for coins.
Only thing sadder is a troll who continually comments on videos they don’t like. He prerecords and schedules the videos you ham sandwich.
Where do you get all this money are you a millionaire!
