I'm starting to think that collecting modern British coins in non precious metals is a complete waste of money, because even getting back the cost of them seems almost impossible!

Hello Christopher, a few weeks ago I purchased a British 1 ounce silver bullion coin from the Myths and Legends series, which featured a motif from the Beowolf saga. Maybe the next coins will come from this circle of legends. Greetings Andreas
Wow that silver year of the snake is stunning. I may have to get my wallet out. I agree with you about GB Olympic 50p. There are a couple of nice Olympic Euro coins out there. I have the French 2 Euro & strangely an 11 Euro coin. Also nice Paris 24 coins too. Thanks for continuing with these videos. 😂

Don't beat yourself up about the 1/ 40th oz coins. Like you I buy coins that I like for my collection. For interest if you sold you're 8 grams of Gruffalo sterling silver for scrap you would get around £4.40p. If you sold your fine gold 0.8g 1/40th oz for scrap you would get around £47 quid. Still crazy but a far better investment. Hope this makes you feel better. Not really? me too.

Coin collecting can be very expensive that why i zeroed in on a specific coin and type, im getting all the silver britannias & the major 1 oz silver coins from every big issuer

Such a shame to hear you say that there wouldn’t be anymore Lunar chinese new year coins as I would’ve loved to of collected all 12 animals
With all the plastic your hobby creates you would think some recycling would be welcome, never heard such whingeing about a bit of packaging!
The new plastic wrap on the coins is awful. It reminds of the quality drop in recycled paper.
I always praise the bags I buy from luxrul , to be honest, its durability is very good, much higher than the original

Might I respectfully suggest that you wash your hands before you film future videos. When you go in for close-ups in this video, your fingers look like you’ve been reading proper old style ‘news print’ newspapers for a couple of hours. I don’t want to sound negative.
