OMG that bugs bunny!!! 22:40 I had that as a kid! Yo were looking at similar things in another video and I thought of this bugs bunny right away! I wish i was there I would have bought it.
Grew up in fairfield Bridgeport area, I've been coming up here since I was little. As long as you're not paying the early bird price the 3$ is totally worth it! The food truck there has delicious Chilli cheese dogs 😂
Oh Tom...my uncle used to make the BEST sausage bread we'd have on holidays. A crusty, ciabatta type Italian bread, and he'd make the sausage browned and crispy inside...to "dye" for (didn't want to spell it right because YT deletes the weirdest words for no good reason!) Anyway, he's long since passed and I never see that aunt anymore..I wish I had that recipe!! If you like sausage and you see it again, try it, you might like it. :)
My husband and I were there 2 weekends ago. One of my friends has a booth there. If you saw the table that uses mail trays for displaying, that's him haha
What is wild to see is the set up in the morning b4 it opens... Thats when the real haggling happens..iv sold many things here...love this place. Stay way from the indoor one almost nextdoor, not very nice sellers...
Completely unrelated to the flea market but I can't help but wonder what that soundbyte is of "Let's go to the other side of the mall" that plays in many of your mall exploration videos? Is that part of a ambience background score to avoid copyright from the music playing in the mall? Thanks, I'm a huge fan of all of these flea market, mall, and abandoned area videos! Great channel!
Yes. I try not to use that particular clip anymore because it is so recognizable. Some malls have copyrighted music playing in the background which TH-cam flags and then demonitizes the whole video. I have sound clips from other malls I've been to where there was no music playing, so I will sometimes use that audio instead of the actual mall audio. I only do it because it is sometimes necessary. Thanks for paying such close attention!
I am so sorry to do this…the castle next to castle grayskull is She-Ra princess of power’s castle. I know because I had one! :) My brother and I used to play He-man with She-ra back in the 80’s! I can’t believe the guy who asked to show your face to give you the deal….man, that was ballsy! Still love your videos! 😊👍
I thought that was pretty funny that the seller asked him to show his face. I thought it was funnier when Tom said, “no deal”……#witnessprotectionprogram
It’s just to attract people to their tent/table. It’s stupid and shouldn’t be allowed cause it ruins things for everyone, but what are we gonna do about it? Best thing we could do is tell others to avoid a certain table because they’re just luring people for money, but essentially we can’t stop said people from coming to events like this.
did you go to the indoor flea market nearby? Was called Maplewood Flea Market I think, not sure if it's still around. I remember there was a guy with all sorts of obscure game systems and games, not ultra-obscure, but like an Atari Lynx and stuff like that
Ha! I went to the comments to say same thing, don’t mix those two up. Voltron a much better ball Of wax than Thundercats (IMO anyway). Also that raffle lady, I have seen a video of that toy show on the Toy Attics page. Blonde haired woman has a vintage shop in CT. She has a pretty distinct diction to her speech. Too bad about the stuff being part of a raffle, but I am sure she would have wanted more than 200 for that Godzilla. He looked complete, I bet he would have gone for three. As a kid I got the Shogun that shoots missiles from his fist for Christmas in 77. I was not four yet and shot a middle into my eye. I don’t remember what happened to that shogun warrior (where he ended up), but I never got to play with it again. Fortunately I don’t have any permanent damage from it.
Definitely intrigued with the George Vans! Unionville ,Ct wonder what you might have found out about the manufacturing or was Ct just a USA address? New Subscriber can’t walk like I use to living vicariously thru you at the flea markets Great Content!
Glad you like the videos! No, I didn't find out anything more about the George vans being made in Unionville. I'm not sure if they were made there or if that's just where the business was based.
I spent practicallt the entire video trying to see if i could spot myself or my family in the background Man what i would do for that great mazinger or getter robo g They were way too much for me I do regret not getting that goosebumps cup from them though
I know that sometimes you see prices higher than what people want to pay, but the entire process of doing shows, conventions and large flea markets (Elephant's Trunk and Brimfield) is that it's super expensive to set up there. I think people don't get it that we (sellers) have to buy, store, transport, and pay fees for these items.
So, ok, this was 1 day ago...who the heck is wearing a puffer coat, and why, at about 10:25?! Was there a cold snap in CT I missed that day?! 🤣 Quite the contrary as we've had one long heat wave all summer.
Glad you liked it! Thanks! Yes, I really like this flea market. It's the biggest in CT (Mansfield is pretty close in size) and there's always tons to look at!
Yeah, it's hit or miss. Some great deals, some not so great. You really have to know what things are worth when you to really any flea market. Otherwise, you could get ripped off.
Those trucks you purchased what a deal he could have charged you fourty dollars for the two and more than likely you would have paid that price. So I my estimation you made out like a bandit !!!
This video was taken recently? If so why the hell is everyone wearing Sweaters or hoodies when its SUMMER and in the high 80s everyday in CT., i take that back, you said ag the end of the video it was opening day so now i onow why everyone was wearing sweaters. Please enlighten me. On a side note, my fiance's Parents are Antique dealers there. They've been for many many years. Its a wonderful Flea Market.

I'll let her know. Thanks for watching!

the frog is from the 1962 Ideal game Bop The beetle. It's a fun game to play.
OK. Thanks for the info! It definitely looked like some sort of game.
I love how he tried to get you to show ur face lol 😂
Yes. That was a first.
a lot of cool stuff at this one. Looking forward to your collection video!

Your voice sounds a lot like Richard Karn from Home Improvement 😊
Really? That's the first time anyone has said that. I'll have to listen to him speak.
I don't think so, Tim.

I don't think I've seen you buy something from the.first vendor you see. Nice score on the Van's. I don't recall ever seeing those in the 70s.
The person with the raffle has to have the raffle licensed.
I'll assume that it was licensed, but I have no idea.

Ha ha.
Tom we all want to see you.
Maybe someday
I never understood why sellers do these raffles. Don’t bring stuff you don’t plan on selling. Wasting time for everyone.
If there’s a market organizer this type of thing should be prohibited, it’s using rare items to lure people into a sales pitch
I just wish they would make it clear that an item is not for sale so that I don't have to ask and then I feel kind of silly, but no big deal.
Good point. I really wanted that Godzilla!

Unionville was originally a mill town. I can understand industry there.
I was surprised you passed up on those "free" lolly pops.
Hotpoint was another brand made by General Electric. I once owned a GE set just like that in a salmon color.
I spent practicallt the entire video trying to see if i could spot myself or my family in the background

They were way too much for me
I do regret not getting that goosebumps cup from them though
I would love to have those Shogun Warrior figures too, but they are ridiculously expensive.
Well it’s about time you found some GoBots! 😂😂😂
I’m so tired of the people asking eBay prices.
Compared to Transformers, GoBots are pretty uncommon in my area. I already had the Rogun though.

Maybe for some people. I personally don't think it is.
Oh ok, mom's got on gloves too...I guess this was posted yesterday but filmed a while ago.
How many subscribers do we need to get that face revile? That seller did his best though haha.
100,000. It'll never happen, so my anonymity is safe.
Castle of the lions is Voltron not Thunder Cats

Did you know it’s a “1973”? He only said it 3 times haha

I have never found anything good at this flea market yet everyone rants and raves about it. Bunch of junk IMO.
As they say, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
