Awesome video. I miss Stevie. One of a kind. Just wanted to say how much joy you've given a 63 year old man watching you really feel this man. You made my day.
You will love "Life Without You - Live at Capital Theatre" - he does some real preachin with his guitar, with his singing and with his actual words...it is unforgettable - thank you for your great vid!
Definitely Life Without You, although I prefer the version from Tennessee. The one at the Cap, he was just a few short weeks away from his breakdown and near death, and you could tell. It's a beautiful performance, but painful to watch because of how Stevie looked. The one from Tennessee was after he got clean and looked healthy, just like this Voodoo Child performance from Austin City Limits. Here's the link th-cam.com/video/ijDE1GiLvws/w-d-xo.html
Welcome to SRV my dear. Great reaction!!!!! Stevie RIP was all all about Texas blues!!!!! I highly recommend you find Texas Flood by him. It will blow your mind just saying!!!!! I wouldn’t point you in the wrong direction!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!!!😎🍸
New subscriber here. Stumbled upon your channel because of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Stayed because you're adorable, and love Stevie, who is hands down the greatest of ALL time. Please do "Dirty Pool" live by Stevie!
If you want to hear Stevie Ray preach the whole sermon with both guitar and voice, the listen to this one: Stevie Ray Vaughan - Life Without You - 9/21/1985 - Capitol Theatre.
He had soul for REAL. Like, nobody's business. He had mad respect from literally every OG old school blues guitarist that he ever played with. Bb King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, they were all intimidated by his power and talent and pure passion. Sum special for real. He died in 1990 and I'm still sad he dead
Awesome reaction! Glad you enjoyed watching Stevie. I grew up on blues and classic rock music. Stevie has always been one of my favorites. You should check out "Texas Flood" live at El Mocambo. He is definitely one of the GOATs in the guitar world.
I love that you said, "This reminds me of praise and worship." 😆🙌❤ You might like: "Texas Flood", Live at El Mocambo. It's a brilliant performance from this brilliant man. Gone too soon.
His band is called Double Trouble and the members are Chris Layton on the drums Tommy Shannon on the bass and Reece Wyman on the keyboard and of course Stevie Ray Vaughan on lead guitar and singer.
I remember so clearly, in country in KSA down range of Sadaam and his boys. But SRV covered my recon boys from Double Trouble!! See you on the other side one fine day Stevie and Jimi too!! rltw!
Emily, LOVE your reaction!!! Welcome to SRV! May I add my recommendation to the others that you watch Life Without You performed at the Capitol Theater? It was a song he wrote about a dear friend (Charlie) who passed away suddenly, right after he gifted Stevie the beautiful white guitar that Stevie plays during the song (Stevie named it Charlie). You'll see some amazing guitar work, an inspirational message and some thing funny that happens around 8 or 9 minutes into the video....
Welcome to the wonderful world of Stevie Ray Vaughan he was a blues/ rock artist you should check out little wing and Texas Flood both live at El Macombo or Tin Pan Alley with Johnny Copeland or I’m leaving ( commit a crime) look at little sister or check out his guitar sound check where he is wearing a leopard coat and just remember it is a sound check.
Aw I like you! Sweetheart...new sub here! Aye so I just watched your reaction to Texas Flood, and u got the comments off so I had to come back here & show u some love cuz I felt u feelin it, and when u said u felt like u knew this man like he was your uncle...I for real know what u mean.. the thing about Stevie too is that, no one ever had any single bad word to say about him. He was a truly genuinely good hearted kind person who had the heart of a lion and I just love him, thru & thru on a soul level. I loved him since I was 15 learning guitar back in the day. When that texas flood performance was recorded he was completely broke, On tour, couldn't even afford food and just played music like his life depended on it. I just appreciate u appreciating him & there's something about u that I really like and enjoy, much success on your channel and whatever you do in your life cuz u a real one. Keep it up!!
@@emilyfeechi Sad how they need to control every last word and deed. I'd have liked that though. Stevie loved Jimi, obviously. 'Bet they're both smiling down on you now - Peace
Back in the 60s, I had a choice of buying a Cream or a Jimi Hendrix album. I chose Hendrix. This is his song. David Gilmour of Pink Floyd is my favourite guitarist but Hendrix was unbelievable. Stevie does a wonderful job of covering Jimi's song.
This song is originally by Jimi Hendrix - girl, you gotta react to some Hendrix too! Here are some song titles to get you started: Hey Joe, Foxy lady, Purple Haze and Angel
Hey, thanks, Emily! lots of comments below that I don't need to reiterate -- Stevie was the GOAT - and we lost him too young - at 35... hope you delve in a bit more - I'm sure everyone is saying "Texas Flood" lol
A little soul. Lol I believe it was the blues man, Freddie King who said, "There ain't but one white man in the world who has a black daddy, and it's Stevie." Lol
Takes me back to driving around with my folks. Love the reac! He used to walk around shopping malls puffing on big pipes. Post Malone gets a lot of style from him lol
Nice reaction Emily, If you want someone who makes sounds on the guitar then look no further than the man himself.....JIMI HENDRIX, thiis is SRV doing a Hendrix song, React to "Hey Joe" or "Along Along the Watchtower" which are two that are allowed on TH-cam but all his albums are Sonic Excellence. Too bad that those are among the few that they allow.
Ms. Emily U must listen to me, the next song by SRV should be the video of his "Sound Check", it is better than most other's show.. After that U can watch "Texas Flood", it has a surprise in it, do not mess up now.. After that if U watch "Look At Little Sister" U will see Reese Wynans go off on the Keyboards.. All are great.. ♠W.G.
No point goin down the "who's best" path...each different...each great in own way...a rare few transcend & Srv is one of those self taught words fail performers!! RIP Stevie...taken too soon & so cruel 😕
Lol. I don’t know who it came from. Quite a few people have taught me a lot but I’ve always stood out when it came to my taste in music. Thanks for watching
SRV is my all time favorite musician and I've been listening to him for 40 years. That being said, this is one of my least favorite songs / covers that he does. I don't know if it's because it's almost always how people are introduced to him or if it's because I prefer his own original music more. I also don't think this song, in particular, showcases his vocals as much as others.
Eddie Van Halen, especially "Eruption", was great. SRV is a different style. Blues influence makes for a different sound. Being partial to Blues, I favor SRV. His ability was remarkable and live performances were unforgettable. Eddie was phenomenal, but I must give the nod to SRV.

Jimi Hendrix was smiling from Heaven hearing Stevie playing his song with such passion.👍
SRV defines soul - every performance is packed full of passion! RIP GOAT

You wanna see some soul??? Check out Tin Pan Alley and Texas Flood at the El Macambo. Both live versions. It'll change your mind on who's the best.
For sure
Won't change my mind. Stevie is the greatest, and always will be. GOAT
R.I.P. to the Greatest ever....

So glad to see the younger Generation getting to enjoy some SRV love ur reactions but u need to check out his song life without u the on most viewed
He's got some kind of whammy pedel that he uses his feet to play for certain sounds.
A little soul. Lol I believe it was the blues man, Freddie King who said, "There ain't but one white man in the world who has a black daddy, and it's Stevie." Lol
Loved how he bout melted your face , you were feeling it

Lol. First person to reference someone from my era. 🤣🤣 you love to see it.
I know this is a older video but it might be the best reaction video I've seen good job!
this was in the 80's, SRV left us way too soon due to a helicopter crash
He’s got Jimi’s (Hendrix not his brother) waa-waa pedal and then he uses the whammy bar
Check out 3rd Stone from the Sun. Live at the Festival Stevie Ray Vaughan. Mind Blower! He's also my brother. ❤❤
The sounds youre talking about are his special effects pedals, most guitarists used them
There is a foot pedal at the bottom of the mic stand he making some of those sounds
Try Jimi Hendrix, the original guitar God. Voodoo Child is his originally.
React to Life By The Drop by Stevie Ray.

Do yourself a favor and watch SRV’ s Soundcheck. You’re gonna like it. Never see another like it.
FYI this is an original Jimi Hendrix number, Stevie does and excellent job of covering it - many thing Stevies version is better
I tried to do the Hendrix version but it was blocked 😔

That was one of his tamer performances
