I just found your Led Zeppelin reactions, sorry I’m 3 years late finding them. You need to go back & check more out, because they have so many great songs. Led Zeppelin is the name of the band, not one person, & it was made up of 4 genuses. You at least need to do their live at Madison Square Gardens (1973), original blues rock song called, Since I’ve Been Loving You. It’s performed with true soulful passion, those guys love the blues, & they are amazing performing everything including the blues. Thank you.

Bob Geldoff of the Boonrown Rats was the first to come up with the idea for a benefit for families e relief in Africa. He gathere a lot of British musicians to record Do they Know it’s Chtistmas. MJ and Lionel Ritchie decided there should be an American response, and decided to set up this studio near the site of the American BBC Music Awards. Done so many of the artists were already there. There session went on all night and early morning and the next day it was up to an engineer to take all these performances and put them together in some logical order. Pairing Stevie Wonder with Bruce Springsteen was inspired, and Bob Dylan always needs to sing by himself. There was a documentary made of this called The Greatest Night in Music where you find out more. This along with the British song led to the Live Aid concert which was played live s on just about every American music station. It started early in the morning in Ki don and concluded late at night in Philadelphia.

I can't even listen to the dam song w/o 😢😢😢😢. This is the only song I learned in 1 day bc they played this on every station back to back all day . the next I went to school how whole dang school was singing this between classes at lunch and out side gym. That was an amazing day! I was in the 5th gade.

I was a teenager during the 70's/80's. This was filmed in 1976. It was a wonderful time to be young. People were happier, relationships were closer, life was more care free, and the music was incredible. Attending concerts was a huge thing to do among young people back then. We loved it. Concert tickets were not that expensive at all. The groups my friends and I loved were Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Lynrd Skynrd, Journey, Styx, Foreigner, Triumph, 38 Special, Boston, REO Speedwagon, Rush. I was around the same age as these kids on the dance floor in the video. ABBA is in the top 10 of album/singles sales of all time, selling around 400 million copies. Though I wasn't and am not a huge fan of theirs, their songs bring back a ton of wonderful memories.

The Beatles were only together from 1962 to 1970. The oldest Beatle, Ringo, was only 23yo and George was only about to turn 21yo. He was still underage. In those short 8 years, they changed the face of rock’n roll. Listen to their 1963 hits and then their 1969 hits. How could this evolution happen is just seven short years. But the Beatles did it and should be celebrated as the greatest band, crossing over all music genres.

You know, I've never heard anyone say a bad word about this song. It invites you in with a big friendly smile, and it's glorious. Brad Delp was the lead singer. Amazing voice. Sadly, he suffered from depression, and eventually he took his own life. Such a loss. Another thing: everyone who knew him said he was a great person: friendly, kind, gentle, down to earth, a regular guy and a great neighbor (for example, he helped people mow their lawns). When he died, the band's website said "We just lost the nicest guy in rock and roll."

I donated I was in college NO money to spare .Working part time. rent food went on the back burner. I ate mac & cheese and hot dogs for a month. This was important.

This was recorded after the Grammy awards that evening. All the talent in one place already. Prince was supposed to be there but he had his usual selfish issues and they asked him to just stay away so the song could be made….. more important than his security questions. The song was #1 for weeks upon weeks. It raised money and awareness. You just cannot do that today anymore and that’s sad.
