There's a raw live performance of Hank Williams Sr singing this in one of his only 2 appearances on television. It was trippy for me to watch for the first time, because I pretty much had only seen pictures of him my whole life. So I had a weird mythical view of him. Seeing the video made him feel more real to me. Hank had the flash, charm, kinda superstar feel, and captured people's attention in a similar way like Elvis did, but before Elvis. Completely different people and artists, but my point should make sense.
Back in the day, Brylcreem was a big hair care product for men. "Brylcreem, a little dab'll do ya." The composer of this song, Hank Williams Sr., is a major influence on all country music that came after him.
As others have said, this was George Jones paying tribute to Hank Williams Sr with one of Hank’s most iconic hits. I’m not sure if other music genres do much of this, but Country is well known for paying homage to other artists!

They cut off the beginning where he talks about the original Hank Williams Sr.? I think this was from the George Jones Show. George actually got to meet Hank Williams Sr when he was 15. A woman walked him into the house and introduced him, telling Hank, "He (George) can sing just like you." George said Hank told him, "I used to sing like Roy Acuff. But then I found out they already have a Roy Acuff." Basically telling him he should find his own sound and identity. Glad he did, because George became unique just like Hank Sr did, which helped them become legends. Hank Williams Sr passed away at the young age of 29, in the first hours of New Years Day of 1953 while riding in the back of his Cadillac to a show.

Hank Sr has his fingerprints all over country music, though his recording career lasted a little more than 5 years. He had his 1st hit in 1947 and died in the back of a Cadillac on his way to a show in Ohio on New Years Day 1953. Along with country Hank Sr also wrote and sang gospel. I'm sure you've heard the song I Saw the Light.....Hank Williams wrote that.
Hard to see, but I believe the photos behind him are of various country legends that came before, including the originator of this song and possibly the biggest legend of them all, Hank Williams Sr. I think this is a segment from his show where they would briefly talk about a random country legend in one of those pictures, then cover a hit song from them.. You're only 30, now think about being married for 20 of those 30 years and your spouse all the sudden wants a divorce because they want to live like they were a teenager again, that where a song like this comes alive.

Anytime a Steel Guitar starts a song you know it's country. You should check out Hank Williams Sr who originally sang it and wrote it back in 1950

The song was about a woman that was leading him on the cold. She could not get over her past.
