UPDATE Bypassing the Vats Alarm system on a Saturn L200

Hello all Rob here with a update. okay it is been about two weeks since I bypassed the vats system on the 2002 Saturn L 200. Everything seems to be working fine knock on wood. This cardroom was insane it kept not starting with the security light blinking anywhere we went. We kept having to do a 30 min. relearn procedure at least once a week. I purchased the ohm resistors off of eBay. And a friend of mine downloaded the schematics for the vats system on a 2002 Saturn L 200. You do need a ohm resistor tester to bypass the vats system and the 2002 Saturn. You will have to bypass the vats system through the BCM which is located on top of the inside of the glove box. If your old does not match rate off the bat don't panic just do a 30 min. relearn procedure. The BCM should pick up the new resistance you put into the car. I had a mechanic reboot my computer. then did the 30 min. relearn procedure and the BCM learned the new ohm resistor I put in. Good luck and thanks for watching.

I've broken my Key fobs (i fixed them before they're broke for good) plus I wrecked awhile back but almost fixed it all, (i am not fixing air bags) im going to paint in the summer, the horn was damaged in the wreck so it was cheaper to install a siren that has a horn, okay so I found it was also cheaper to buy a new car alarm with keyless entry then replace key fobs, do you know what wires I will need to connect to..
I think im needing a wire diagram of the alarm system and obviously i know I have to splice in the new horn , but that should fix my keyless entry easily shouldn't it??
I was hoping to do like i did the radio and just splice wires into the factory wire connector as in i think I just need to find all the wires ro the alarm and splice them into the new connector, I've seen they have all the wiring to the door locks to splice into

Only 54,000 miles on it ? Why would you junk it or give it away ? Mine has 189,500 and I'm keeping it for how much money I've spent on it over the last 4 years I've had it. These also had power steering high pressure line problems with vibration when turning the wheel. That was an easy fix.

Hi sorry today try bypass a 2003 l200 it is same bcm and colors wires, I put a resistence in org/black with the yellow but no staring my car, where I need use the red wire??? help me please regards

It's an LS actually but I badged mine as an L200 with another red rear trunk panel from the yard.

which ohm resister did you buy off ebay? ive got a 02 saturn and im trying to do this bypass, but dont know which ohm resister pack to buy from ebay

so once i wire the resister in place between orange/black wire and yellow wire? i just want to make sure i do it the way its suppose to be...i just plug battery back up, and do the 30 min reset of BCM and it should crank up after third time and be okay?

every car is different. If you stick your key in, you can read the Ohm reading and then use a value as close to the reading

You could have just Bought the remote control Dongle right? I bought that and we can't get the alarm to work. Someone must have done this to the car. #@$%
