Bret Hart, for me it always looked REAL,
If he had been pushed earlier, he would have hit the proverbial yellow and red ceiling like so many "pushed" stars around him (his comments about using him to build Bad News Brown up for Hulk is a clear example of this). Time-wise, everything worked out and was executed excellently as it was.

I think he was just starting to get the highlight of his career the very start of attitude era, the biggest mistake was making him heel, it all fell apart from that point onward, unlike his brother Owen and in law Jim, Bret was not a natural heel and it really showed, his promo's at the time where pretty bad at times, although there where a few good heel promo's but that could have easily been face given how he was getting screwed at the time, but heck a few more years and he could have really ripped it up with steve austin vs the corporation thats the saddest part for me, then ofc after the screwjob which was brutal and really hurt me watching it at the time, lords only knows what it was like for bret himself that was savage, wcw didn't know how to use him he got screwed there too which ultimately ended his career way to early. As a wrestler no one was better he really was the best there is the best there was and still the best there ever will be

In the 80's I was a little kid loving Hulkamania but by the 90's Bret Hart was my guy. Now that I'm older I realize I liked Hogan for his Entrance but Bret was the Best there ever was in wrestling.

Trump heavily promoted Boxing, MMA and WWF. He was all in on MMA especially in the 90's.

Trump was and is awesome. He saw what had potential and promoted them. Heck, even with MMA he liked competition. Even though Affliction did not last, Trump was one guy Dana White refused to criticize back then, despite Dana bashing Affliction and everything else about it.
Like everything Trump touched, the Trump Taj Mahal went bankrupt. Only guy in history that couldn’t figure out how to make money running a casino. 😂

I'm Canadian and can confirm that people have their opinions (pro and con) of Trump here. Sadly, young people here no more about US politics than Canadian.
Almost everyone who has met Trump & had a personal interaction with him has nothing but good things to say, almost like all the politicians & news media lies to smear him because it gets clicks.

Trump was such a fan he hosted WrestleMania 4 and 5 at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City.
No, he didn't! He was the "name sponsor" and Vince had the Boardwalk Hall decorated and referred to as "Trump Plaza" on the PPV for his crony. Trump Plaza didn't have any room that was big enough to host these two events.
It's amazing, you tell a lie often and long enough and people will believe it forever. No WrestleMania ever took place in a Trump-owned building. Well, "Trump-owned"... We all know what that really means at this point, I hope!

So many missed opportunities in the way the WWE fumbled his career. Still, he's a legend.
I remember watching Survivor Series '90 when Bret fought DBiase. The pops he got from the crowd was almost like a title match. After he lost, he got a pop from the crowd in appreciation of a great match. Right there I knew a new star was born.
IDK what the problem was with his promos. Compared to what you get today he was awesome!

Well unfortunately Bret like Curt they said they were going to push you only to screw you in the end because you knew what you were doing so did Curt Hennig. Curt and you could've had a great feud in 93 when he came back switching the belt to each other and instead that honor when to Flair for the first month of Jan 93 and then Yokosuka and even Hogan. I know you loved wrestling Curt and I know he loved wrestling you there could have been a there there but you know Vince.
Bret couldn't talk at the time, it took a few years for him to be passable.
Why broke Hart fondation if it was to make Bret lose. Hart fondation in tag team was really awesome.

WrestleMania 4 & 5 DID NOT take pace at Trump Plaza! They took place in the Atlantic City Convention Center. But it was labeled as and PROMOTED as Trump Plaza. Trump Plaza is a hotel & casino bldg.

...Donald Trump met him a couple times, was a fan of wrestling and acted cordially to him and everybody that he saw.

I think it's funny that the title of this video is misleading as all hell, not one time did he talk negative about Donald Trump which isn't a shoot... If anyting Brett ended up paying respect to Donald Trump as most people would because he's a good dude. Dude, I don't like Trump or Biden and voted third party but nobody can deny that the economy and world politics as a whole were better under his administration. Hell, I can hardly afford to feed my family and ALL of my bills are up due to inflation and good luck buying a house with mortgage interest rates being nearly double what they were during the Trump administration. Gas prices are also over FIVE DOLLARS where I live and were around $3.50 during Trump, that is nearly DOUBLE in the span of less than 4 years which is the biggest hike in history.
Then you add in the money being sent to Ukraine and the border crisis and the Biden administration have a lot to answer for.
