I hope that HHH and Nick Khan will be that personable to the WWE roster in the future. It's important to have a boss like that. Aside from his being my favorite wrestler, Bret has always shown the ability to get straight to the point--whether it was in his wrestling promos, interviews or if you got the chance to talk with him. When I've met him personally and had the chance to talk with him, he demonstrated(and still does)sincerity by speaking with me rather than AT me. While remaining sincere in this interview, Bret provided much needed laughter from this particular story involving his former boss. To this day, Bret has never bored nor tired me--his name is synonymous with legend.
I think because he's so passionate about the wrestling business and the huge part it played in his life, that passion probably has never left and won't until he longer breathes.

I got to see them wrestle each other during at my first ever WWF Wrestlefest the revenge tour in 1994 my first wrestling show it was amazing. Was Bret Hart vs Owen Hart for the WWF championship during their amazing rivalry where Owen turned heel and turned on Brett.
I saw a Sharpshooter match in the old montreal forum. If i remember correctly, Owen had the sharpshooter and Bret reversed into his sharpshooter and won. I was 8 or 10 yo, like 25 years ago!
Got to see them at a Raw taping at Huntington WV back when I was in middle school. I remember we got there way to early and being a huge fan I sat in awe the whole time just looking at the ring and how much larger the ramp and everything was in person. Then I remember JR and the King walked out onto the ramp and everyone went nuts and Vince walked out as well wearing the Raw jacket and then they got in the ring and gave us an introduction and got us more fired up for the show. So glad I got to experience a show from the best time in wwf.
I'm from Western Canada. Just before Owen went to WWF, he was a superstar and top guy in Stampede Wrestling. One night after he had wrestled the main event in my hometown, I snuck up into the makeshift dressing room on an upper level. There was Owen, still in his wrestling gear. I was shy, but I boldly went up and introduced myself. Owen simply stood up, shook my hand and started talking to me. (to give perspective, another wrestler Rip Rogers once invited me and some buddies up into the same area - on another night - only to have Johnny Smith FREAK out, despite Rogers telling him we were OK, and shove my big friend back with all his might!) Owen stood there, and talked to me....a LONG time.....maybe an hour....I asked him all about wrestling, told him I wanted to be a wrestler. Asked him about matches in Japan I'd seen clips off (specifically a match he had with Keichi Umada - later to become jushin thunder lager). He was nice, quiet, never once tried to break it off or get me out....in retrospect, undoubtedly, he wanted me out....who wants to talk to random fan in your wrestling gear after a long hard main eventmatch (against Makhan Singh/Bastion Booger). Eventually, Bruce Hart came up, and told Owen they had to go. We were the last people in the building by then. (Bruce had a black eye, and Owen asked him what happened....Bruce said Great Gamma had punched him in the eye....Owen said "in the match?" and Bruce said "NO, in the hallway!" lol). So Owen said he had to go, shook my hand again, and gave me a card for the Hart wrestling school, writing a number on it I could call and say I had talked to him! People will always say "he was such a nice guy!" after people die tragically - well, I can tell you, he was a really, really nice guy to a 16 year old kid, who had no business bothering him.
Cool story man! I actually used to talk to Bill Moody aka Paul Bearer on the phone and over email back before he retired the character when he was still homebound dealing with his obesity problems. I emailed him one rainy boring day and told him what a fan I was and he emailed me back with his phone # . I was so nervous the first time I called him and when he answered he was so nice and spoke like me(from the south) which was shocking. I remember saying I hope its really you and he laughed and did his Paul Bearer voice then I knew it was really him. I asked why he was so willing to shoot the shit with me and he just said " why not? I don't have shit else to do. I'm homebound at my desk and weigh over 500lbs so why not bs with a good fan?" He said he just absolutely loved engaging with fans but asked me not to share his number because he didn't just speak to anybody. I never did either even though my neighbor begged me to call him on speakerphone to prove I wasn't lying about speaking to him. I was so happy later on when he was back in wrestling and doing more as Paul Bearer and got to retire the character. Sadly I got online one day and saw that he had passed on. When I watched the Raw where The Undertaker pointed at the pic of Bill on the screen I got so emotional yet felt so happy that they did it. Just wanted to share my experience . RIP Bill Moody
Anyone who questions Bret’s mic work needs to watch this. He knows how to read the audience, use cadence to maximize effect, and delivery is smooth. Sure some storylines lagged but he’s a great storyteller in and out of the ring.

I've watched him wrestle in person in Cape Breton Island when I was a kid when he pulled the boy toys pants down lol.
I met Mr. Hart in Alaska around 2018 or 2019 at a wrestling event and meet & greet. The experience was great. I had a real eye to eye contact with him and really got his attention and gave him a good handshake then told him thank you for what he did as a wrestler and entertainer and that I lost my father almost 20 years ago and he and I would watch some good matches and that he (Bret) was my favorite wrestler of all time and such an honor to meet him. So as I sat to get a picture on my phone for some stupid reason it wouldn't work and I said to him no worries that meeting him and shaking his hand was good enough and I was so in the moment that I forgot my good friend was there and said he'd take a picture for me and Bret insisted so I got my picture taken with him 😊 As I went back to the bleachers and as I watched the line shorten I remembered that they were selling both a picture and his bad ass shades and I really wanted them but I only had $20 left to my name. But I had been joking with the security guard that was standing at the spot to get down to where Bret and the other wrestlers were so I asked if he would let my slid on back down before they finished and I wasn't sure if he would but he did and when I got to where he has there were about five people left so I started a conversation with his son (nice young man) and as the last person finished I caught Mr. Hart getting out of his seat and again made eye contact and asked if he remembered me on line. He told me had with a true honest look in his eye and I thanked him again and asked about the photo and what it cost. So he sat back down and told me to talk to a guy behind me (watching the whole time) and the man told me $40 for a photo and $20 for the shades. So I all of sudden put a bit of awe bummer look on my face because I really wanted a photo but smiled and said "well I'll take the shades then, who do I pay". So the man points to Brett's son. I turn around give his son $20 and turn back to Bret and as I turn around I see him signing a picture for me handing both glasses and signed photo, smiles at me and what looked like a little here you go wink and told me thank you. I'll treasure that moment for as my mind is alive 🥲 When the introduced him half way through the show he mentioned something in the fact of meeting fans he great encounters with and he wouldn't forget. I felt like I was quit possibly one of those great fans 😌😏 Thank you again Mr. Hart to you and your family 💖 Hitman strong 💪💔😏
Brilliant behind the scenes story where everyone was happy and no drama. Just looked up the This Tuesday in Texas show, this night was Dec. 3. 1991. What a roster of legends at this point!
I don't know what's more awesome, Bret and Owen smoking a doobie together, everyone hitting they finish on Vince at the Strip Club lol. Bret's stories are Goated
One of the best wrestling stories ever....don't think I've ever seen Bret's face light up as mischievously as what this night had provoked.....so classic :D
Bret Heart is such a treasure. Even after all the bs he is such a good guy when giving facts. And doesn't talk shit. Such a great recollection of events. 10/10 interviews and guests for the show.
I like how Bret told these stories especially the first one. He told it so well I pictured it in my head as like a comical cartoon program lol I couldn’t stop laughing. I didn’t really think wrestlers did the stereotypical wrestling stuff in public ffs 😂😂 I thought that was a myth but it’s amazing what a few litres of alcohol can achieve. 🤣
Bret says it like it is no lies just tells his fondest memories but can tell he doesn't tell the whole story purely not to drop anyone in the shit his a class act and truly is the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be
I absolutely love listening to the Hitman tell stories..He has a manor of honesty about him to begin with,so the stories are always legit & true..Funny as fuck, especially when he's telling "Owen" stories..
I don't understand why you're using the onboard camera mic for this video? Surely it would make sense to record via a separate dedicated mic so the guys voices are clearer?

I turn around give his son $20 and turn back to Bret and as I turn around I see him signing a picture for me handing both glasses and signed photo, smiles at me and what looked like a little here you go wink and told me thank you. I'll treasure that moment for as my mind is alive 🥲
When the introduced him half way through the show he mentioned something in the fact of meeting fans he great encounters with and he wouldn't forget. I felt like I was quit possibly one of those great fans 😌😏
Thank you again Mr. Hart to you and your family 💖
Hitman strong 💪💔😏
I want a dark side of the ring episode on just this party
Brilliant behind the scenes story where everyone was happy and no drama. Just looked up the This Tuesday in Texas show, this night was Dec. 3. 1991. What a roster of legends at this point!
I don't know what's more awesome, Bret and Owen smoking a doobie together, everyone hitting they finish on Vince at the Strip Club lol. Bret's stories are Goated
this story i love! it just shows how insane Vince truly is! same as when he tried to wrestle Kurt on the plane
One of the best wrestling stories ever....don't think I've ever seen Bret's face light up as mischievously as what this night had provoked.....so classic :D
I miss the Vince McMahon character from the Prime Time Wrestling days.
It's really great to see the "Excellence of Execution". The 'Hitman' Bret Hart
4th time I’m watching the video because this story is awesome.
Bret tells the best stories, hilarious stuff
Bret's deadpan delivery actually adds to the hilarity here 😂
Bret is the best story teller you can listen to him all day
I'm sure there was blow in that story too Bret, let's keeps it real.
Dirty Sanchez Bret was on the juice too he just wasn’t out of control like warrior or hogan
Dirty Sanchez If LOD Neidhart and Hennig were there it’s a safe bet
Yeah.... where there's strippers and booze then blow is sure to be in the mix as well
@@trevormarcray other way around fella! If you have a party with plenty of kakaine, strippers will be on you like a dingleberry
@@doeyjiaz4798 Lol. True!!!
Thanks I needed this today! A lot of people did🙏
The best there is
Best there was
You know the rest
May the force be with you?
Love Bret stories
Best video currently on the internet.
This is a great story I miss these days of wrestling
Me too
The best there is, the best there was, the best there ever will be
~ Bret Hart ~
It’s so awesome to hear a story of Bret and Owen blazing it up. Pretty lit.
It's amazing they could party so hard and still compete at such a high level.
I could listen to these guys tell stories all day
Lmfao I’ve heard this story a couple times but I could listen to Bret telling this story again and again lol
Bret hart is known for the best storytellers of pro wrestling in the ring. U can see from the way he tells a story, its picturing in our heads
This story made my heart warm because I used to smoke with my brother and he isn’t here anymore rip Adnan Hot rip Owen Hart
I don’t smoke but just hearing the Hitmeng say he n Owen smoked a doobie is awesome
So that's why Hawk had heat with Vince lol.
" we got to flairs room and he wasn't even there, he was still out " lol by now it must have been 4am haha
Bret Heart is such a treasure. Even after all the bs he is such a good guy when giving facts. And doesn't talk shit. Such a great recollection of events. 10/10 interviews and guests for the show.
always Amazes me how humble of a dude Bret is.
His HOF speech is the best one of all the others to me in my opinion :)
Yeah I agree, short version of it; but it’s so funny
This is probably my favorite video on TH-cam ever
This is BEAUTIFUL.... so many GEMS in this while also being hilarious. What a good time that had to have been!!!
The Hart Foundation woulda done it 😂😂😭
Man I love this story had me dying. God bless Bret🙏🏼💯❤️
You can tell that era, they had a huge connection. I doubt we’ll ever see a connection like this from a wrestling company.
Bret should narrate wrestling documentaries/books. Great delivery. Great cadence.
Bret says it like it is no lies just tells his fondest memories but can tell he doesn't tell the whole story purely not to drop anyone in the shit his a class act and truly is the best there is the best there was and the best there ever will be
I hate when the ads are interupted by the interview.
Bret "The Hitman" Hart smokin weed. My bad a doobie. I love it! 😂😂😂 I could just imagine how high everyone was.
Bret's one of those guys I could listen to talk about wrestling all day. He makes you feel like a kid at story time in school.
I would vomit if I was flair and I came into the room to get some sleep and I jumped in bed.
lol flair prob never even made it back who we kidding
I love that when anyone adresses vince they say hos full government and it cracks me up every time
I absolutely love listening to the Hitman tell stories..He has a manor of honesty about him to begin with,so the stories are always legit & true..Funny as fuck, especially when he's telling "Owen" stories..
Vince loves Bret and Shawn
No, Vince loves big sweaty men.
No Vinny Mac Don't like That Bret is The BETTER MAN...it burns his.
He allowed Bret hart to go AEW to come back to wwe
This is just too funny.. if this can be somehow made into like an audio toon. It would rule lol
Well if anyone remember's that Owen was wrestling for WCW as well before returning to WWF.
Bret hart’s expression of jim at 8:18 is hilariously cute! 😂
I don't understand why you're using the onboard camera mic for this video? Surely it would make sense to record via a separate dedicated mic so the guys voices are clearer?
